CHAPTER 22

I am sorry sir,I wasn't watching where I was going,Calista couldn't help but stammer.she was so scared that she couldn't raise her head up,she had helped Xander picked his phone and when she looked at the screen she knew she was in a lot of trouble because the phone alone was a whole lot of money and the screen was already broken beyond repair.

It is okay,Xander said I am also at fault because I wasnt looking as well,I was so immersed on my phone so there is no need for you to worry,he passed the phone to the assistant who was with him and asked him to get him another one.

"What is going on here?",Brenda asked when she came over.

Calista didn't know what to say,she was about to cry but Xander took over and explained the situation to his sister and he also apologized for the injections that were broken,"don't worry Calista,it is okay,just be careful next time Brenda said. Calista thanked them and bent down to pick up the injections,when she bent down to pick the broken injections,Xander had also bent down to assist her but instead of picking the injections his hand touched calista's hand,both of them withdrew their hand immediately and it took Brenda's intervention to separate them,she called the one of the cleaner and asked him to clear the place up,then she took her brothers hand and walked out.

Xander couldn't stop looking back,he didn't notice it before but when he looked back he couldn't stop but notice Calista's beautiful eyes. Calista was also lost in thought ,an emergency call took her out of her thought,she ran into the A and E department and concentrated on the patients forgetting about Xanders touch for a while.

"Why are you lost in thought?,Brenda asked,you haven't touched your food and you haven't said anything since we came. Is everything alright ?,Are you hurt ?,Brenda asked one question after the other.

Relax Brenda,Xander said.I am fine and nothing is wrong with me or the company and there has been no attack,I promise you.

Brenda was going to say something else but she noticed that her brother couldn't stop touching his hand,then she remembered that,that was the hand that he had used in touching that intern nurse just now.

"Oh,someone is in love,Brenda couldn't help but say out loud,finally I am going to have a sister-in-law, don't worry I will help you find everything about her when I get back,but from what I know and have seen she is a nice and lovely girl,Brenda said.

Xander couldn't refuse his sister's help nor could he deny how he felt about Calista, because this was the first time he was having this feeling,even himself couldn't explain how he felt but he wanted to see Calista again and talk to her,and nobody but his sister could help him but now he needed to eat and yes get a new phone and reschedule all his meetings.

Brenda was very happy because her brother was in love,she could finally be at ease because someone else will be around to take care of him when she got married,she already had someone she love and was ready to get married to but because there was no one besides her brother,they had to push their plans forward.

She just prayed it worked for her brother because he was all she had and she didn't want him to be heartbroken,she was going to help him and make the relationship work but for now she needed to know everything about Calista even her past life.
