CHAPTER 13: Survival of the strongest

'Splash' a fish flew out of the water to the land as the bear waited again staring intensely at the water as it struck it's claw again into the water swiping up another fish.

the bear turned around as it feasted on the five fishes it had caught devouring the bones with it as it laid down falling asleep.

David stared at the bear as it laid still it's head on the ground and it's eyes shut. a few minutes passed as he walked out from behind the tree as the first thing he thought of was to take his bag and flee.

"a fish" preparing to leave when he saw a fish flopping beside the bear, stopping in his movement as his tummy grumbled.

"but it's a C silver class beast" David held his tummy as he looked at the fish with drool dropping out his mouth "I guess I can try" he dropped his bag cleaning his mouth as he tip toed towards the river entering into gently.

he swimmed through the river as he arrived on the other side 'its now or never' he gulped down as he brought out his spear knife putting it through the fish as he pulled it slowly towards him.

'finally' throwing the fish to the other side as he swimmed back to his camp site packing up his sack bag and putting the fish in a big leaf, about to go he hears the black titan bear yawning as it stood up staring at David.

frozen in his steps as he stared at the bear in fear unable to move a single part of his body as even breathing became difficult.

the bear stared for a while as it walked back into the forest, "whaaaaat!" David became dumbfounded as he stared at the bear walking away, "I guess I became lucky" wanting to continue moving away as howls were heard in the distance and the sun was already setting.

"I guess I'm stuck here ehehe" he walked back to his made up tent as he gathered some dry leaves and woods bringing out his match stick as he rubbed the tip on a stone send sparks until the leaves suddenly caught fire.

night descended as David roasted the fish turning it side by side as he took a bite "hmhm delicious" he retreated into his tent devouring the fish and putting the bone outside as he watched the fire burn through the night before he finally fell asleep.

waking to the sound of water splashing as he rubbing his eyes trying to see clearly the figure in front of him, David froze as he looked at the bear in front of him trying to catch more fish as it has already caught 6 fishes already.

the bear stopped as it suddenly looked back at david walking towards him slowly as it suddenly stopped in it tracks.

David gulped down as he stared at the bear dumbfounded by its behaviour "h-hey" he raised his hand up waving slightly.

the bear sat down nodding for David to come closer turning towards the fishes on the ground.

David stood up as he looked more confused walking towards the fish while avoiding the bears range "so what do you want me to do now" the bear stood up walking towards him it's gaze fixated on the ground.

"w-wai...." David retreated backwards his legs almost touching the river as he held his chest feeling his heart beating intensely.

the bear got in front of David as it poked the fish signalling him to take it as it bit on one taking it towards the tent sitting by the charcoal.

David hesitated before packing up the remaining fishes as he walked towards the tent with some fishes falling on the way, putting the fishes down he goes back to pick the remaining.

he gathered some dry woods and leaves as he set fire onto it making it burn fervently, "so you want roasted fish uh" the bear nodded as it laid beside the fire watching it dance.

David stared for awhile as he thought 'this titan bear understands human language' he picked up some sticks setting them up as he cleaned them up with a dry clothe putting them beside the fire as they got cooked.

the bear eyes didn't move from the fire as it's eyes reflected the mysterious light dancing Infront of it.

"okay it's done" David became a little bit free with the bear as he served three fishes on a leaf and two fishes for himself, "enj.." David smiled as he saw the bear devour the three fishes whole staring at David's share.

"you can have mine if you want" David smiled staring at the bear like it was a pet, the bear looked up at David as it pushed the fishes to David signalling him to eat Which made David more interested in this fascinating creature that was bigger than the biggest bear back on earth.

"thank you" David ate in satisfaction as the bear laid beside him with it's eyes closed when it raises its head as it vigilantly into the forest.

seeing this David became worried as he looked at the direction the bear stared at, looking back at the bear "what's wrong" the bear using its nozzle signalled David to climb it's as it became more worried.

feeling something was off he decides to listen to the bear as he packed his sack bag while the bear rushed him to hurry "alright alright I'm done" he climbed the soft furry smooth back "wow sooo so.." jolting back to reality as the bear ran deeper into the forest having no sign of stopping.

suddenly a strong roar shook the entire forest the trees blew the opposite way and the other beasts running away in fear as terror filled the air making some trees and plants withered and some low level beast fall unconscious while the others ran.

David too fell unconscious making him fall off the bear as it turned around biting on to David's clothes and running faster than before.
