Slowly in the desert upon a camel a man covered in cloth to hide from the rays of Ra he would reach down and stroke the camel's fur in appreciation " I must thank you Nuna without you I would have to walk these ferocious sands much longer than I would want."
This man was Nekht-set, someone becoming famous amongst the Egyptian people with his legendary feat of facing a group of werewolves that was terrorizing a small village, he also faced down a wyvern by himself! although it was really by itself and probably hasn't eaten in a while it was still a wyvern!
And he couldn't forget his prized weapon Suvan, acquired by not only his prayers and sacrifices to Seth but also because of his prowess Nekht-set was blessed with the Shotel Suvan it's guard being made of gold signaling it's divine status while the blade was lined with a silver on it's side along the handle was small engravings of spells that would help speed up his legs but would leave him a bit more tired than usual.
But he couldn't forget his trusted companion Nuna the camel she was with him the moment he saved her life by feeding her some cactus even if his hand was pricked by them he would do it again without a heartbeat, as he saved her, she saved him by picking him up when he could not walk, dragging him with her mouth while running from some scorpions.
"Ah Nuna look , we are nearing a village, let's hope we can rest up here and restock on some food. '' In the distance a village built around an oasis appears, it will surely fall in later years due to the lack of water but currently they live in somewhat peace.
As Nekht-set was nearing the village he could already tell that he would need to help another village again but he didn't mind helping those who could not help themselves. He would tap Nuna side increasing her past by a bit, he would near the village even more and yell out "HHEEEYYY" alerting the village populace into hiding thinking another attack was coming.
The village head would come out although not old he was reaching the age where he would need to groom a new successor into fitting the position good enough "We have no more for you, We beg of you please go we have no food left to give." he says as falls to his knees looking up to what he believed to be the bandit's once more.
But instead it was Nekht-set. The village head would stand up in a rush and run to him and beg " PLEASE you must help us, those bandits not only took our food but kidnapped some of the villagers, we don't know if we'll ever see them again. I beg of you please help." Nekht-set would hop down from Nuna and would kneel down to him and say "Beg no more, for I have come to help you when you can't help others, I have come and so I will help"
The village head would stand up and reply " those bandits they took them down south from here you'll tell who they are, for they wear helms of the serpopard and the leader wears the pelt of it" as Nekht-set took in this information he would hop back on Nuna the camel and say "worry no more for once I return I will have saved all that I could"
And so Nekht-set would ride out to the south, Not knowing he would never reach the thrones.
