It had been an entire week since that disastrous dinner and Jie was in a state of constant anxiety as he waited for Mr Xhi's COO to arrive, he felt uneasy about the man's looming presence in the company. Mr Xhi probably wanted someone he trusted in the Cheng Company so that he could act like a mole and impose his own ideas on them and because they were in his pocket there was not a thing they could do about it.
He hated to admit it even in the silence of his mind but he had also been looking over his shoulder as he expected Natzin to come looking for him. Everytime he turned a corner he expected to see her waiting for him and making some excuse to remain close to him and to his surprise he had not seen hide nor hair of her.
