Five

At the sight of him, despite her feelings of anger she could feel her heart soften towards him as her mouth went dry and her knees weak, he had always been able to affect her without doing much.

He had on a pair of tailored pants and a white linen shirt that contrasted nicely with the tanned skin of his and his lustrous black hair framed a perfect face with a perfect rosebud mouth. He was simply so heart stoppingly handsome.

She realized that despite knowing what she knew about him and Bing, she still loved him very much. And if he asked her to forgive him she would very easily do it. It seemed that it would take more than just cheating for her to stop loving him, maybe it had just been a mistake and Bing, that awful girl must have seduced him.

"Jie." She whispered.

His almond shaped eyes stared at her like she was some piece of garbage, they were filled with disgust and it sent a shock through her body and she straightened up and stared back at him fearlessly.

What did he have to be disgusted for? She was the one with the right to hate him, he had shamelessly cheated on her with her best friend and he still had the audacity to look at her as if she was scum under his feet.

She opened her mouth to speak but before a word could pass, he turned around and walked away and she saw his mother coming behind him so she kept all that she wanted to say to herself. There would be time enough for that.

"Have you no shame? Why have you come here?" Jie's mother yelled with irritation as soon as she was a foot away from Nitzan and Nitzan was so startled by usually sweet lady's behavior that she turned behind her to see if she was referring to someone else.

"To think that I stood with you against my son and you dare to try to defraud my family this way?" She continued then looked around.

"Guards, guards!" She called out and Nitzan's eyes widened in horror.

"Mrs Yilin, i don't understand what is going on, what have I done?" She asked in confusion.

"Whatever happens in the dark will eventually be exposed to the light no matter how desperate you are to keep it secret." Yilin said cryptically.

Two bulky looking men appeared beside her and she pointed at Nitzan.

"I don't want to ever see this sorry wretch anywhere around this place again or else you will lose your jobs. Now, throw her out!" She ordered.

"No please, I haven't done anything. Don't listen to Jie, I am innocent." Nitzan screamed as for the second time that day, the two guards forced her away and dragged her out of the mansion.

As she walked away from the house, her chest felt hot and she wanted to simply collapse on the floor and cry. She wondered what she had ever done to deserve this sort of misfortune.

She did not want to go back to Lu Hua's house, besides the fact that she felt ashamed to see that her nanny was living in the midst of such poverty and she had never been able to help her, she also knew that she would be too much of a burden to the sweet old lady most especially now that she did not have a job.

When she got to a bus stop she sat on the bench and looked down the road morosely. She decided to ask one of her schoolmates if they would be willing to house her briefly. She pulled out her phone and scrolled through her contacts list before deciding on one.

She fired off a text and waited anxiously to get a reply. While waiting she decided to take a look at her InsideGram account and when she did, her heart dropped to her stomach.

She was trending and her seven hundred thousand followers had dropped to a mere hundred and fifty thousand. Her mentions were filled with people she didn't know and people she knew cursing her.

"I always hated her guts, all these rich people who have never had to work are so disgusting."

"Can you imagine that she was dating the most eligible bachelor from one of the best families and she was still still not satisfied so she had the audacity to cheat on him?"

"Who has the video of Zhi Nitzan and that strange man, I would love to see it so please send it to me. 👹"

While her direct messages had different men of all shapes and sizes propositioning her in the most vulgar of ways.

Nitzan's heart drummed painfully against her ribs and she quickly searched all over the website and thanks to it's anti nudity policy the video seemed to have been taking down.

She went to the internet search engine and typed her name and clicked on the first video she saw and it was a video of her in bed with a man. She was so shocked that she almost dropped the phone.

The man was obviously not Jie and that was the only man that she had ever slept with.

As she was trying to decipher the meaning of the video a text tone rang and she quickly checked to see that her message had been replied to.

"My parents don't want me having someone with such bad character around me, please lose my number and never try to call me you horrible harlot."

After reading the text, pools of tears filled in her eyes and then they fell down her cheek, she was doomed. It seemed everyone had seen the video, it just felt like the world was against her and it just seemed intent to grind her to dust.

After sitting there for a while, a resigned Nitzan flagged a taxi and directed it to Lu Hua's house. Grateful that at least she had somewhere she could stay until she figured things out.

When she got to the house and was about to knock on the door she heard a voice and she pressed her ear against the door to listen.

"She can't stay here!"
