"Why is she calling you mama? Is she your kid? Are you married? Who is he? Where is he? Let me kill that bastard!" Axel yelled in my face and his breath brushed past my hair. I got even more scared of his dominance.

I won't care as much if I was alone but I'm with Elena and I have to protect her.

"Will you calm down sir, there's a kid here," I begged but his demeanor didn't change. Everywhere was getting darker now, and soon not many people will be able to see what happened to me and if any saw they would be the weaklings and won't have the guts to report the great Axel.

"I have never dated in my life, she is my niece," I explained while my whole body shook in fright.

"Mama Rhoda I'm scared of him." Elena cried and I immediately went to carry her in my arms, fortunately, Axel permit that and did not hold me back.

"It's okay dear, this man won't hurt either of us." I calmed Elena down.

"I'm sorry sir but it's getting dark, I need to close and go home so will you still be buying or should I just pack up and go with it?" The woman asked cautiously.

He took the bag from her then gave it to me. This time I took it from him to avoid any more problems but there's no way we would be eating it.

He patted Elena on her head and smiled. His lips spread widely on his face and his mustache spread as well.

"I did not mean to scare you, dear, you're so adorable." He said to Elena while giving her his creepy smile.

Someone should tell him to stop smiling cause it doesn't suit it.

"I'm sure you did not think so a while ago," I mumbled under my breath. It was not clear and no one would hear it.

"Hey I said forget about it, it was impulsed because I thought someone else owned you." He explained.

Of course, he heard me, he's a werewolf and he has strong hearing. He can hear everything even from miles away.

"Okay sir, thanks for the snacks." I raised the bag, "now I have to go." I said then got ready to leave but he stepped even closer to me.

"Hold on, why are you in such a rush? Those are for the adorable one there." He gestured to Elena before continuing, "We should eat a real dinner." He suggested.

"Okay good night sir, good night ma'am." The woman inside the booth who has been packing up greeted before leaving.

Shit, she was calling me ma'am now.

I nodded at her and saw her be careful to look.

"Sir you have done enough, thank you," I said again after the woman had left.

After that, I brushed past him and made my way home.

Seconds later I heard footsteps behind me. I turned around and saw Axel behind me with his hands in his pocket.

"What are you doing?" I asked pissed.

"Nothing just walking." He replied nonchalantly.

"Are you following me?" I asked instead and he nodded.

"Why?" I grumbled.

"So I can see where you live and I'll also love to eat at your place tonight. I'll be able to see your family and properly introduce myself." He explained.

What! No way can he meet my family, things can only go wrong.

"No way, you can't come."

"And why not?" He growled. He seemed to be expecting my objection but nevertheless was angry by it.

"We'll because it won't be appropriate for my boss to be having dinner at my home."

"Shit, will you stop this nonsense I'm tired of it!" He yelled and Elena started crying.

I too stepped back from fright.

"Sir I'm embarrassed by my house." I rephrased hoping he would finally leave me alone.

"I don't care and if the place is that terrible then come home with me, I'm your mate after all and I'll be marking you tomorrow." He continued and I stared wide-eyed at him.

This is not going well at all.

"No way sir, I'm not your mate!" I shouted then patted Elena on her back as she hasn't stopped crying.

"I said you are!" He yelled back and this time he was ten times louder and his voice was deep. If I heard his voice in the night behind me, I would be frightened and fly away.

"I bought snacks for you, you rejected it, I had to force you to accept it. Let me take you for dinner, you said no. Let me see your house and meet your parents, it's another objection. Come live with me and that was definitely an N O too." He lamented.

"Pick one!" He ordered with his deep loud voice.

Elena cried even more.

"Baby don't cry," I whispered to Elena. "Stop please, you are scaring her," I begged.

"Pick one!" He repeated.

I went over all the options he gave in my head.

"I'll have dinner with you." I said, "but not today, we can have dinner together tomorrow." I added.

"You finally accepted one but you had to give a condition." He huffed.

"Okay, take your niece home and make her stop crying, I'll see you at work." He instructed then left.

Phew.

I breathe a sigh of relief.

Finally, he is gone.

"Elly," I called Elena by the nickname I gave her, "He's gone now," I whispered in her ears.

She sniffed then wiped her eyes away.

"Auntie don't let him scare you okay, he doesn't stand a chance against me." She boasted once she had calmed down.

I laughed. "Of course he doesn't. Don't worry cause I'm never scared because I have you."

I tickled her and she giggled.

One thing I loved about my niece is that she's always happy and I want that to remain the same.

I saw a trash can by a corner and walked closer to it.

We reached home and Elenore and Mom pounced on me with questions.

"Where have you been?" Mom asked.

"Did you forget that we are all starving? Where's the food?" Elenore asked as well.

"Calm down, calm down." I said, "there's enough for everyone." I raised the bag of snacks with me and both their eyes glowed with happiness.

Elena and I made a deal, in other for her not to say anything about who we met, I won't throw away the snacks he brought.

Elenore yanked the bag from me and mom was with her in a flash.

Don't they wonder how come I bought so much?

Just then the doorbell rang.

"Hey don't forget about Elena and me. And dad!" I shouted as I went to open the door.

My heart dropped to the floor when I saw Axel at the door grinning at me, showing off his big white teeth.

I froze from fear.

But he only winked and then left.
