Chapter CVII - The First Auction Begins
Marcus smiled at the notification, standing up as he grew accustomed to the insane difference between the visor and the pod. The feel of the entire game was different. He looked around as the game felt as if real. Marcus marveled at the sights, sounds, and smells.
"How did I ever go back to the visor..?" Marcus muttered as he stared into his open hands.
"Why would you go back to the visor?" Iris asked, startling Marcus.
"Woah! What are you doing inside my head?" Marcus asked, looking around awkwardly.
"You advised me to remain silent until you were fully immersed." Iris calmly stated. Marcus groaned as he rubbed his forehead.
"This is going to take some getting used to..." Marcus said to himself.
"It should not prove too difficult; I am here to assist you, Marcus. To that end, there are two unread notifications; would you like me to bring them up for you?" Iris asked, and Marcus nodded.
