Chapter 58 : How powerful are you?

The other miners quickly rushed in to save their companions while Nectar watched them. Nosa wasn't necessarily surprised but excited, " That was awesome Sister Nectar, I wanna learn that too ".

Nectar giggled lightly " It was nothing, I just hope everyone is okay ". Nosa happily chattered while Nectar listened with a smile. She was surprised when William suddenly bowed to her " Lord William, what's this for "?

William remained in his position, " I'm sorry my empress. I thought wrongly of you, I apologize ". Nectar was even more confused " Its okay Lord William, no harm done. Plus, Reli would be upset if I held a grudge ".

William nodded and stood up straight again. He couldn't help but glance at the carnage. He'd watched as she covered the rocks with water and in between the small nooks and crannies.

Then she waved her hand and it exploded, sending out huge chunks of ice. Though the shards went in different directions, it didn't touch the floor and even seemed suspended mid air.

That was when he realized that Liam was controlling the shards and gently put them to one side, clearing the gaping entrance.

[ Did I just call her insane? I don't think she heard that though ] but the two were so relaxed, it seemed they were tourists.

Nectar suddenly dragged Liam's arm " Let's go in. I want to see the pretty gems ". Liam raised an eyebrow " How do you know there'll be gems " Nectar had a smug smile on her lips " I just do, let's go check it out ".

Arron spoke up, trying to block her way " It isn't very safe your majesty, its quite unstable ". Nectar pouted slightly then smiled " It's alright, you three are coming with me ".

William and Arron looked at each other in a daze while Nosa cheered excitedly " Sister Nectar....I mean empress, let's go in quickly ". Nectar smiled at him as he sheepishly added " May I call you that? Sister Nectar I mean ".

Nectar nodded " Of course, I'll just call you Nosa. Forget the formalities when it's just us ". With that, the three walked into the mine as the miners carried their friends out.

Luckily no one was seriously hurt, only a few scrapes and bruises. Though if it had been longer, the poisonous gas they'd ruptured would have fully contaminated the air inside.

Which is why Liam was blowing them a path with Nectar telling him about the gems she hoped they'd find. Arron and William couldn't take their eyes off of them as they walked deeper " How powerful do you think those two are "?

Arron shrugged " I can't tell, there were no fluctuations coming off of either of them ". Nosa scratched his head and made a fist " Let me ask her ". Nosa walked up to Nectar before Arron and William could stop him " Big Sister, how powerful are you? I really wanna know ".

Nectar laughed, putting a finger to her lip " I'm not sure, we don't have definite measures of strength where I come from "? Nosa knitted his brows in confusion " Then how do you know who is more powerful "?

Nectar made a fist and smiled " By how many people you can thrash. There are no levels in Actso, you're either strong or weak ". Nosa nodded and asked more on the subject to try and understand her strength.

They spent the rest of the day digging out gems. At first they fought it was dumb luck when she asked them to dig and they found a mana emerald.

Emeralds themselves were rare but to be infused with mana could take years, it was almost impossible to find. But Nectar kept finding them so easily, there were many decade old mana stones as well as century old ones. It was easy to tell by the amount of glitter like substances moving about the gem.

When they finally left the mine, covered in dirt. They'd had about six carts full of gems. Nectar stretched under the evening sun " I can't believe that was so easy. No fun at all ".

Liam chuckled " Yes, yes. You'll get a challenge another time ". Nosa and his brothers felt their brows twitch slightly at her comment but were slowly getting used to her strange ways.

Arron tried to dust the sand off himself as he spoke " Where would you like them to be sent to your majesty "? Nectar shrugged slightly " Just bring them to my place when you're done ". Arron nodded and began to oversee the packaging of the precious gems.

William was a bit confused by the absence of a carriage " How did you get her my empress "? Nectar laughed nervously " Would you believe that I just dropped by "?

William and Nosa didn't quite get it but Nosa was still excited about it, " Take me with you Big Sister, I'm tired of staying here ". Nectar giggled, patting his cheek " Your more spoiled than Reli, aren't you "? Nosa made a funny face as he waited earnestly for Nectar to decide.

Nectar sighed " Don't look at me, ask your brothers ". Nosa turned to William who nodded slightly in agreement. He was a bit shocked when Liam instructed him to hold on to him tightly but he was too scared to refuse.

He yelped when he felt something grey and fuzy cover him. Opening his eyes slightly he realized, that they'd turned into the wind and were moving so quickly everything was a blur.

And when he could see clearly, he was in Nectar's courtyard. He stared at Liam with admiration and awe as he stepped back. He was surprised by the lack of Nectar's peppy voice and looked at Liam " Are you going back to get the empress "?

But Liam simply shook his head and held out his hands as if waiting for something to fall from the sky when Nectar appeared out of nowhere and safely into his arms, " No fair, right in the puddle I was aiming for. You do this every time ".

Nosa felt his cheeks turn hot as he watched the two but Nectar didn't seem to have any intention of coming down as she put her arms around his neck and swung her feet happily " I'm too tired to walk so you'll carry me upstairs, right "?

Liam nodded silently, Nectar patted his dusty cheek with her dirty hand and theybegan walking. Nectar noticed Nosa standing in a red daze and waved at him x Aren't you coming Nosa?, I think Reli's upstairs too ".
