The Head Forger

Xuan Yuan followed the system map and immediately headed to the Forge where the Blacksmith is. On arrival he saw groups of players who came to repair their weapons and equipments.

In the Realm of spirituality, Weapons and equipments have durability points which is similar to the HP of players. Once the durability point of an item falls to zero, it become useless in combat and will require a hefty sum to recast. That's why players often visit the Forge to repair their weapons and equipments...

Among the Players present, some sat patiently in the Forge as if waiting to be called inside. They are the players who worked towards becoming Forgers. They are first required to complete quests for forgers in order to become one themselves. As when a forger NPC came out, they swarm like bees that smelled perfume. Finally, the NPC awarded a player the quest who sighed in relief on receiving the quest. The others looked at him with envious eyes wishing they were the ones who received the quest instead.

The Player was about to leave so as to complete the quest when Xuan Yuan entered the Forge and straight to the Forging room.

'Another fool again, who doesn't know the rule!' One of the players said.

'Yeah, He will probably face the same thing as others...' Another replied...

Xuan Yuan arrived at the door, two Guards were standing guard outside of the place.

"This place is off limits!" One of them shouted as they both crossed their spears to block the way in.

'I knew he would be stopped' The players murmured.

"I have something to give the Head Blacksmith in person, please allow me inside" Xuan Yuan said as he retrieved the Forging note from his bag.

The Guards took the book and inspected it then returned it back to Xuan Yuan and said, "You may enter" They removed the spear and opened the way for Xuan Yuan to pass leaving the players outside dumbstruck.

"Fuck!! What happened just now? Why is he allowed inside?" One of the players complained.

"He gave the Guards a book and they allowed him in, could the key to enter be a book?" Another said.

"Book... Book... Book...I've one here I'll try to enter" A male player said and walked to the Guards.

"This place is off limits!" The Guards said as they crossed their spear.

"But I've a book here too!" The player said as he handed a book to the Guards.

"Are you trying to fool us, intruder?" The Guards said with a menacing expression as they retrieved their spear and pointed it at him.

"Oh!! No!! I must have been mistaken!" The player cried as he quickly fled from the Guards, who kept their spear again.

"Oh! that scared me just now!" The player exclaimed as a bead of sweat rolled down his cheeks.

After seeing the Guards scare the player so much, others cast away the thought of approaching the Guards. They'd prefer waiting here instead.

"This is unfair!! Why is he able to enter and we are not able to" A player shouted.

"Silence!!" A Guard shouted almost immediately scaring the other players. They all quietly returned to their seat and began questioning their existence...

As for Xuan Yuan, after passing the door, he arrived in a large room, where forgers worked up and down forging different kinds of weapons, armors, equipments and others, Fire blazed as iron was being melted at a frightening rate with Forgers casting items out of them...

"Please, where is the Head Forger?" Xuan Yuan approached a Forger and asked.

"Do you have an appointment with him?" The Forger asked.

"I was asked to pass this to him!" Xuan Yuan replied.

"Wait here, let me pass it to him" The Forger said, took the book from Xuan Yuan and disappeared into another room at a corner...

"The Head Forger wants to see you" The Forger said after returning.

"OK" Xuan Yuan said and followed the Forger into the room.

The room was smaller than the main one outside, but it was more advanced in terms of facilities. Even the Flame burning was stronger than the one being used outside. Xuan Yuan felt himself being roasted just by standing a few metres from him. At a corner of the room, A pile of weapons and equipments was neatly arranged. Xuan Yuan was practically drooling while looking at the Armors and Swords for Swordsman class. A rough estimation told him those were probably Iron ranked items and above. If he were to equip those, he'd become invincible at this stage of the game...

"You may leave" The Head Forger, a middle aged man clad in a Forgers' set with a Purple insignia on his chest showing his status as a master Forger gestured to the Forger who turned and returned to the main Forge...

"You brought this?" The Head Forger asked as he raised the book in his hand.

Xuan Yuan nodded.

"Where did you find it?" He asked.

"It was a reward I got from helping a man in Rising moon town" Xuan Yuan said.

The Head Forger nodded and opened the book reading its content.

"10 years ago, I wrote this book" The Head Forger began. "At that time, I wasn't the Head Forger of this Armory, I was just a rogue adventurer at that time. I sold this book in an auction arena 3 years ago, I didn't think I'd ever find it again!" He said emotionally.

"Do you wish to learn the art of Forgery?" The Head Forger asked abruptly...
