Reaching Out

A boy left all alone in the world after being abandoned by his mother in a poor clan that treated him harshly because he started showing signs of being different from other kids and the people around him. The One Thing He Doesn't Want To Be

Unknowingly Xilo was steadily making his way towards the center while his reasoning was fading without him realizing. The blue light in the distance grew stronger as Xilo tore a Astral Beast made of grass apart while grabbing a piece and shoving it into his mouth. "Weak." Barely gaining any energy he felt some disappointment as he swallowed before deciding to ignore those Beasts from now on and moved on to his next target that was currently pouncing at him only to be spiked through by a couple ice blades a couple seconds later.

Watching it fall to the ground he turned around ignoring it while more Beasts attacked him. "why?" Each Beasts that fell to one of his attacks caused him a slight sense of relief and joy. Right now his emotions were at peak capacity similar to a bottle full of water that was threatening to pop open without warning and had finally found a way to release some of it which was something that he so desperately needed right now. So he continued on with his slaughter without a care in the world devouring any Beasts he could get his hands on as ice spikes and fields littered the space he traveled while being pushed towards the light.

However even with his recharging he was still growing tired as the energy in his body couldn't keep up with his demands. Eventually he would run dry and no longer be able to keep this up no matter how many Beasts he devoured but that thought never occurred to the current him. In a sense he was the truest sense of the one thing he never wanted to be.

A monster.

But he was already too far gone at the moment to realize what he was becoming. Small blades had already started to dig out of his skin ready to pierce anything and everything at a moments notice and that was just the beginning. Slicing through another fire Charger's fireball he charged towards it and stabbed into its chest. Watching his blade pierce straight through his hair grew slightly more red with each kill while a strange feeling attacked his mind. For reasons he would normally think about less Beasts had started to attack him but he was okay with that. It just meant he was dwindling their numbers enough to finally make a dent. He had to have killed over a couple hundred at this point if not more but he still wanted more so he continued forward falling into that lure of light.

"Weird."

Mumbling that his voice came out slightly scratchy and more emotionless then normal as he stopped in the middle of a bunch of corpses and noticed nothing around him anymore as finally he picked up on the strangeness of the situation. In a sea of Astral Beasts there was none around him that he could see nor sense. "Where?" Barely able to form proper sentences anymore he looked around craving more slaughter. Yet he only sensed emptiness but soon that disappeared as a giant rumbling sound echoed in the distance as he spun around to see it. "A Pack?" Looking behind him all the Beasts had stopped coming for him one at a time and now charged at him working together.

"Keltals." Seeing the Keltals at the front he knew most likely they had come with this strategy to deal with him. They were smart and probably the strongest Astral Beasts near here besides a few outliers so it only made sense. "Good." Looking at that pack he didn't think to run away or try and go back to his one at a time strategy. Instead he chose to do something he normally wouldn't do in this situation especially with his energy levels. Smiling like a madman he didn't put a foot backwards instead he put a foot forward one at a time as he began to run straight at them without a care for his life. He was tired of strategy and mind games. He just wanted to overwhelm everything with sheer strength and right now that was something he had even against all those Beasts. Grabbing another piece of meat from one of the corpses that was on the ground he chewed on it as he ran to regain a little bit of energy.

"Lets see what you can do."

Arriving in front of them he attacked a couple with his Ring's Dagger while he let the rest of the jump on him and overwhelm him but he didn't care. Feeling Bites and scratches start to fill his body he didn't feel too much pain as he smiled while covered with a mountain of Astral Beasts. He let them gnaw at him and roar in his ear drums trying to tear him to pieces. "Die for me." With that the blades that were all around his body dug out of his skin in an instant as they extended out of him growing at least ten meters big and piercing all the Beasts around him while Wings made of Blades extended from his back.

Watching all the Beasts die in an instant he sliced once more time as all their corpses shredded into pieces and scattered into blood that drifted into the faint breeze that blew by while all his blades retracted again. Yet he was still covered in average size blades that extended from his body wherever they could along with his wings. At this point he was once again almost like a living Blade. Although now he could feel his conscious fading as hundreds of Beasts around him died with just that one attack.

"Tired." Feeling his conscious fading he grabbed another Beasts nearby while it stood still in fear and tore its head off making sure it didn't get torn to pieces and grabbed a bit of its flesh. "How long do I have?" Barely forming that thought he looked at how many Astral Beasts were still left in front of him as a loud roar of pain echoed in the distance. "What?" Turning around he looked at how close the blue light had gotten so suddenly he felt a faint bit of surprise with whatever consciousness he had left but what caught his attention the most was the giant figure in the middle that seemed to have made that sound just now.

*GAAAAAAALLLLLLR*

"Annoying."

Feeling his eardrums shake he felt a spike of annoyance as he walked towards whatever that thing was.

Enjoy.
