He explored the towns library and any books he could find in his Clan even if they were useless. Years on years of doing such things eventually led him into stumbling across a book that would help push him towards the thing he wanted the most. Not Much TIme

Throughout all of their fighting Katrin never felt that heat again leaving her disappointed when she left to go back to her duties. "I guess it was just a fluke." She was unsatisfied with that conclusion however she had to accept it for now. One day she would get her strength back. Spending the rest of the day checking on things it soon became night. Xilo had checked on Xelfia a couple of times and the other girl's as well. "What are they up to?" He had caught Tearia and Felli sneaking off towards Felli quarters around the night room without noticing him at all.

"I guess they're catching up together, Hopefully they go to sleep on time."

Leaving it at that, Xilo went back to his room and got ready to sleep. Entering the bed alone was a strange feeling. Another thing he hadn't experienced in a while. Shutting off the lights, he sat down on the giant empty bed. They only had tomorrow until Delfex would most likely show up. It was his last chance to get a good night's rest and think. leaning back he laid down on the bed as he moved his legs around. He still wasn't used to the freedom of moving them, most nights Relia woulda practically lay on top of them. Leaving him with very little wiggle room.

"I hope you're doing okay, Relia, wherever you are."

Xilo had been too busy to really think about Relia or at least that was the excuse he gave himself. In truth he avoided thinking about her, having a friend disappear like that was heartbreaking. "Why would she suddenly leave us?" Now that he was alone though he finally felt the damn blocking those thoughts break into pieces. Relia never showed signs of wanting to leave them, she seemed hell bent on staying by their side if anything. "She also didn't show any signs of such power." When he thought about it like that he was given a reality he didn't like accepting.

"Did I really not notice anything?"

Turning on his bed, he couldn't find any position that made him comfy. He missed the warmth of multiple bodies surrounding him. When he thought about it a bit more a few times came to mind that were strange. Sometimes whenever he talked with she would change into an entirely different person. Her way of talking changed completely and the air around her changed. Relia was usually someone who had trouble speaking and always came off as a shy girl. When she switched, her speech fixed itself and an aura of confidence surrounded her. Whenever Xilo asked about it Relia would always just call it a split personality and with all her Trauma Xilo believed it. It easily could have been a defence mechanism.

"Is that really the case though, there's so much strange things in this world. What if it really was a completely different person."

When he thought about it like that, he felt his heart rate spike for a moment. "If that's the case, was it really Relia who ran away or them?" It sounded so far out there but Xilo couldn't stop himself from believing it. "Then what happened to Relia?" Gripping his covers, Xilo knew a couple answers that he didn't want to hear. "She's gone....trapped...replaced." Shaking his head Xilo felt a pair of arms wrap his body. Almost jumping out of bed from a sudden touch, he turned around to see Xelfia there smiling at him. He didn't hear or even feel her come into the room.

"You scared the heck out of me, what are you doing here Xelfia?"

"I snuck out and came to see you. I'm surprised you didn't notice me, you must be quite tired."

Looking at Xilo's eyes Xelfia held back the urge to tease him.

"A bit yeah, are you sure you should be here?"

"Eh, I'll be fine. My back is a lot better than yesterday and I haven't seen you for most of the day. Why? Don't want me here?"

"No that's not it, you should know that. I love having you by my side."

"I know."

A burst of happiness floated through her heart hearing him say that. Sometimes Xilo really sucked at showing signs of emotions so getting to hear it out loud was nice. She really just wanted to distract him from whatever he was thinking about it at the start and now she was being spoiled. Feeling him wrap his arms around her waist she moved closer as she bumped foreheads with him. Giving him a quick peck on the cheek Xelfia felt really tired. "Not yet." She wanted to talk with him a bit more but Xilo just silently brushed aside her hair while rubbing her back. "No fair!" With how comfy she was feeling she didn't get a chance to speak again.

"Get some sleep Xelfia, we have to be ready tomorrow. Thank you for checking up on me. I'll talk with you tomorrow."

"But..."

"No but's just sleep."

A disgruntled grumble left her mouth but she didn't say anything else as she accepted her fate. Falling asleep in his arms Xilo soon heard the gentle sounds of her rhythmic breathing. Staring at her sleeping face Xilo felt his own exhaustion catching up with him as well. "I should sleep too." Getting lost in thought and jumping to conclusions about Relia wasn't going to help. Improving and getting stronger would be the thing that gets her back. "Time." Something in the world he felt like he always had too much of and yet never enough. It always came down to time, if only he had an infinite amount of time to become the strongest. "Maybe I would never face a problem again." Letting that thought pass by he fell asleep.

Before going to bed there was something Felli wanted to show to Tearia that was in her room, so she brought her there to see.

Enjoy.
