Reaching Out

A boy left all alone in the world after being abandoned by his mother in a poor clan that treated him harshly because he started showing signs of being different from other kids and the people around him. With him being ostracized more and more he became less and less of the cheerful young kid he use to be until eventually turning discreet and mute around others in hopes that they would stop being scared of him. Though that plan never worked out for him and, in the end he was left to strive on his own as best as he could in the environment he was left in. He explored the towns library and any books he could find in his Clan even if they were useless. Years on years of doing such things eventually led him into stumbling across a book that would help push him towards the thing he wanted the most. "The Basic Guide To The Astral Path" This book may not of been special to anyone in the long run but, it was to him because, it was his new beginning. With this new path available to him would he be able to push through all the obstacles and hardships waiting for him or in the end will he stumble and fall? Or will people be there to catch him if he does once again?

A little Fun

Waving goodbye to Relda and even Mason they faded off into the distance until they barely saw them anymore. "We'll see each other again." After Relda had showed up they had talked about Tearia's condition along with the cure she made. After Relda had given it to the doctors it was distributed as fast as possible. Once it was around the afternoon a doctor finally showed up to Examine Tearia. "She said she was sleep deprived and exhausted, making her body incredibly weakened." With a lot of sleep and some medicine to get back some energy she would be fine again in a week or so. With some relief hearing that they all got ready to leave around the afternoon.

Relda had asked them to stay longer and maybe learn a thing or two which Xilo would have happily accepted if he didn't have Telan waiting for him. So he promised he would come back after they visited the Royal Capital. With them growing closer with Relda he had debated telling her about the poison a little bit at first, in the end though he decided against it for now. Instead he just gave her a quick way to contact him and left it at that. Feeling the bumps on the road under him, he rubbed Tearia's hair as he made sure she was comfortable. She had been sleeping ever since she first fell asleep.

"We'll take it slow for a week and see how Tearia is then, if it's just exhaustion it shouldn't be too bad. After that we can most likely talk with Telan."

"I'll try to make sure we go a bit slower, we should be able to line up the timing pretty well. The Capital is about four days away from here, from what Relda said, so we're in luck."

"Yeah, I'm just happy this month-long little trip is finally over. I'm sure we can still help more people but we've mostly stopped the spreading around the country and everyone else seems to be able to keep up with the demand now, so most towns and cities shouldn't be struggling. Once we're done talking with Telan let's do some things for fun. No training or anything of that kinda stuff, just hanging out together."

Hearing Xilo dodging around the question, Xelfia smiled slightly as she got right to the point.

"Is this your way of asking us on a date?"

His words froze mid sentence as he thought about it for a second.

"Uh...Yeah, yes it is actually. Let's all go on a date together."

"I'm sure Tearia will enjoy that as well and of course Relia and I. What do you think Relda?"

".....It'd be...interesting."

"Come now, don't be shy, just say yes!"

Turning her face away from Xelfia, Relia watched the buildings pass by them as Azalu laughed in her head. Watching their little interactions Xilo just shrugged his shoulders as he relaxed his body. Most of the pain from before had faded from last night. Some of it still lingered though and he was trying his best to deal with it. Tearia's sickness had helped distract her along with it being a lot less painful but it still hurt. He just had to wait for his body to heal itself at this point. "Feel better Tearia." With the sounds of her heavy breathing giving him comfort he closed his eyes as he let time tick on by.

"Where'd you run off to Flint?"

That was one thing that still bugged him a bit. When they were going around healing everyone he had gone to quickly check up on Flint but he wasn't there. When he had asked around about it no one said they had seen him since yesterday. "Did you really leave in your condition?" He almost didn't want to believe it, however he didn't really know what else to think. "I knew I should have gone with him last night." Maybe if he was there with him Flint would have stayed though Xilo might have just gotten in the way instead. "I hope we meet again." Passing the gate they exited the City as they made their way to the Capital.

"Ukel."

There were quite a bit of things there he wouldn't mind doing beyond just having some fun with the girls. "That place has everything." Along with a lot of opportunities that could arise there Xilo was also ready for the worst. In a place like that where the strongest in the country hanged out, they were bound to run into some trouble just like with Mason. If he was outclassed before by Mason then against those kinds of people he would be even worse off. "Nor will I be nearly as lucky in the end." If Mason had just decided to fight harder he probably would have lost Kirel even with Relda showing up. He was almost sure of that fact.

That same luck won't happen again unfortunately, so he needed to be ready for it. With more hours passing and nothing happening it eventually came night time. Waking up he saw Xelfia and Relia talking a little bit as he said hello. It was time for him to take his watch now since he didn't get much sleep last night. They had offered to take the job first. Checking on Tearia before anything else he saw her still sleeping as he swapped places with the two girls. "Hopefully she wakes up soon." He knew she needed sleep but seeing her unmoving was a little nerve racking. With all the girl's going to sleep now it was only Xilo left alone in the night air.

"Now what?"

Now that it was just him alone, he didn't really have much else to do.

"Now what?"

Felli stood in front of her mother as she once again asked the same question for what felt like the hundredth time, she had lost count a while ago but that didn't matter anymore.

Enjoy.
