Booktale I: "Child on the Ash"

Once upon a time, there was a bright soul of a young man who got transported to another world after his death. This chosen soul's traits was utterly rewritten to a vampire's related to time, hollow fate, and light all accordingly to the 'will' of the Book of Fate, Life and Death, Times, and the Imprisoned World, Polarnia.

Although he was just a vampire, he was blessed with accursed perfection, incomparable beauty, and eternal youth... Verily, worthy of the envy of the gods and the eyes above.

The chosen soul, who was now a vampire, woke-up upon the ashes. As if by fate, a silver haired dark elven woman, with her clothes tattered, happened to roamed the place under the purpose of hiding and escaping from the savages who were chasing her.

"Where is she?!"

"Find her and bring that harlot to me! Dammit!" A raging deep voice from a ferocious bearded man resonated within the ears of those who were present around him. He was bald, tall, and beefy.

As heavy footsteps could be heard, the dark-elven woman covered her wounds with her trembling hands while it regenerates slowly than usual as she hid behind the walls of the mysterious ancient ruined temple.

Each time she heard the sounds of the approaching footsteps getting nearer, her body instinctively moved as quietly as she could until she unintentionally reached and crossed the threshold of a certain portal that led her to a place where a gigantic altar could be found. Around it was the skeleton of a late titan dragon, resting its remains as if guarding something upon the altar. Furthermore, the entire surface therein was covered with ashes like how snow cover everything in winter season.

With her visions that seems capable of seeing the threads of fate, the dark-elven woman stepped upon the stairs and went atop the altar. Thereon, she found a magically and divinely beautiful infant lying on the ashes at the center of the altar: an entity she didn't know yet that will entirely change her way of living and fate.

The infant was a boy with thick and smooth beautiful silver-opal hair and long eyelashes for his phase that cannot be compared to hers or to any of the most beautiful ones in her race; not even the gods and goddesses she knew could rival the beauty of the infant.

He had pair of big round beautiful violet eyes that were staring at her, making her felt like her soul was being seen, nakedly, by those vigorous and majestic eyes of his. His skin was as white as filtered milk, shining brightly like a rosy pearl that not letting any single veins to be shown through and giving her a heavenly sensation of adoration the moment she touched the child. Also, the dark-elven woman noticed that the infant's nails were all as red as blood, reminding her of her eyes and the race that was considered to be impure in this world.

As she reluctantly took the child in her arms, a magical circle with various spells and rune-like symbols with art that tells the story of the existence of the true birth of messiah beneath the ashes manifested and shone brightly along the runes and arts throughout the entire ancient temple.

"Boss we found her! She's here!"

When the men was about to dash after her, a rattling ringing sound and a strange light emitted from that entire place. That strangely bright light flashes throughout the areas and blocked them with latent force.

When the dark-elven woman opened her eyes, slowly, as her eyesight miraculously recovered from the flash, she found herself in a rainforest with the infant in her arms, shocked and confused of what just happened therein.

'Teleportation-spell?!' She wondered, for she herself was quite knowledgeable as a dark-elven mage, too.

The place she was standing at was quite elevated above, enough to witness the sight of a vast crater from where the mysterious temple used to be found.

...

Years later, the crater left by the mysterious beam of light became a lake, known as Dragon's Lake. All the men who chased the elven woman perished and cease to exist and was utterly forgotten as if they did not exist at all.

The vampire had now grown into an extremely beautiful child and the dark-elven woman, who had found him, now stood as his mother by his side.

For the past years she had taken care of the vampire as her son, she noticed his behavior and intelligence was quite odd for his age. 'Perhaps because of what kind of existence he is.' At least that what she thought at first, but that's just how she perceived it all along... After all, the dark-elven woman was not just an ordinary elf. She was an elf born with special eyes and ability that could literally see the nature of one's existence through clairvoyant and see the threads of fate. An ability that every greedy one wanted and the reason why her clan had gone extinct and went into hiding.

The two were just living a simple and peaceful life in the forest. Everything was perfectly fine, and for once, the vampire experienced the love of a mother again... until one day, his mother did not come back home. The vampire had search for her and when he finally found her, all of those merry times and awkward moments he had had with his 'mother' ended with the smile he didn't ever want to see.

"I am sorry if I have made you wait, my dearest son. Forgive me if I can't no longer stay by your side..." With ghostly tears in her eyes and regrets in her heart, she utters these words "Live on, my dearest son. Your journey has just began." These are last words she left behind along with the weeping vampire, as she faded to nothingness with a smile and tears on her face.

"No... Mother!!!"

"Please... don't leave me!"

Sorrow engulfed him for months; the shine in his beautiful violet eyes faded as he went on a journey into the woods.
