Retelling the Story pt. 3

Those plants hindered the movements of the river devils— Thank goodness– They got stuck. Lukas and Azriel took that as an opportunity and launched fierce attacks and took down a bunch.

The giant bastard also found it hard to move and got agitated, so it chomped on those big reeds. Obviously, those plants couldn't miraculously withstand its sharp teeth, so they all fell away just like that. But at least, it bought us time.

I quickly summoned Kuro, who could not come out all this time to help because where the hell would he stand?

"A giant fox!" Sera gasped.

Ah. It must be her first time seeing Kuro.

So then we used Kuro as a mount. And instead of leaving, I ordered him to run so we could get close to the fight up ahead.

You're probably asking why the hell are we going there and why are we not escaping instead, like I wanted to. Well, because I had this one crazy idea.
