Re: That Time My Mother Got Turned into a Monster! – Chapter Four

The darkness is like a vortex, absorbing all light. Then, Mother Superior Euphemia raises her staff spectator, and an illuminating light pierces the darkness of the prison cell. Then, I saw something I had never seen before. It was a girl, but not a human girl, lying on the wet stone floor, her clothing dirty and tattered. The girl slowly lifts her head, and I see her face framed by thick lashes, and her face is almost too pretty, almost perfect. As our eyes met, the monster girl bared fangs and hissed at me. Her hair was long and golden, like a wild lion's, flowing down her back past her hips in soft waves. Her piercing azure blue eyes were wide like a feline, like that of a predator waiting to pounce. The girls' ears are elongated and pointed. She had a slight smile on her face. Her porcelain pale skin looks tougher and thicker than the hardest rhino leather.

She was definitely not human, but she was beautiful simultaneously, with a curvaceously slender physique like a feline. The girl had pointed ears and sharp teeth, like some kind of monster. I couldn't take my eyes off her; she was so fascinating. Her skin was smooth and radiant, and her curves were alluring. This creature was at least five feet seven inches tall, but I knew her size was a facade. Thick and substantial sharp black claws protrude from her fingers, and she possesses saber tooth-like fangs in her mouth. Her jaw and mouth are overly large as it boosts massive predator-like teeth capable of ripping her prey apart limb by limb. The monster girl was more athletically fit than the most capable monster hunter, as her muscles flexed under her skin.

Looking at the monster girl before me, I was taken aback by her sheer beauty and power despite her grueling appearance. She was tall and slender with long, silky, thick hair like a lion's mane that fell past her shoulders. I watched her slowly sit up and begin crawling toward me, and I could feel my heart beating faster than ever before. She had a mouth that could make one swoon and a body that would make any man beg for mercy. I could tell from her expression that she wasn't one to be messed with, but at the same time, something about her captivated me. As I watched this feminine creature crawl like a panther gracefully closer and closer, I couldn't help but be in awe of her beauty. It was impossible not to notice how her hips swayed along with the motion of her hands as she placed one hand after another on the ground. She let out a low guttural growl as she drew closer to me.

My eyes widened as I took in her petite frame, her muscle definition clearly visible on her arms with each motion she took. The air seemed to vibrate with the power emanating from her body, my stomach twisting into knots from fear mixed with awe. I wanted to take a step back, but I couldn't move, held in place by her sheer presence. Yet there's also something… adorable about her. Like a kitten that can rip you apart if you're not careful. Despite her menacing appearance, I feel strangely attracted to her as she glares down at me with her large, blue eyes going from azure blue to a burning bright golden as the hair on her back begins growing. Her size seemingly doubles over the course of a minute. She stops in front of me and stands up, revealing she stands over thirteen feet tall. She simply looks down at me. Mother Superior Euphemia, Sister Rachael, or Sister Diane simply stand aside as this creature sizes me up. When you look into her eyes, you can see her soul's depths and feel your heart pounding with excitement.

I took a deep breath and stepped forward, courage coursing through my veins. The towering monster in front of me stepped closer, bringing the raging lioness hair down over me like a blanket. I could feel the warm breath and hear the monster's heartbeat. The golden hair beast was so close that it felt like my skin was crawling. But I didn't want to back away. Her beauty and her strength so enchanted me. It was the first time I had come face to face with a monster of this caliber save for my own Mother, and I was smitten. I felt goosebumps on my skin and butterflies in my stomach. She was so breathtaking that I couldn't look away. Her warm breath clouded my vision. I was enchanted and mesmerized by her presence and couldn't look away.

I held my breath, my heart beating so fast I thought it would burst out of my chest. All I could do was stand there, waiting for something to happen. I thought the creature would surely attack me or try to eat me, but the lioness just hovered over me, staring into my eyes. I was so scared and didn't know what to do or say. The longer the monster loomed over me, the more my fear turned into curiosity. I looked up at the beast, trying to read her intentions, but her gaze was so intense that it was like being trapped by a predator. Maybe the she-beast wasn't going to attack me after all. The lioness just kept staring at me with those piercing amber eyes. She was trying to get inside my head and figure me out.

I wanted to look away but couldn't bring myself to do it, afraid she might turn violent if I broke her stare. She was so close that I could see the flecks of gold in her golden eyes and feel her warm breath on my skin. My body refuses to move as fear of the sight of her gaze freezes me in place, but I must admit that something about the monster seemed... intelligent. It felt almost like she understood me, like we were somehow connected. It was a strange feeling, like I was sensing her thoughts and emotions. I couldn't be sure why she hadn't attacked me. Still, it must be because of Mother Superior Euphemia, Sister Rachael, or Sister Diane's presence. They were the only ones who could keep her from tearing me apart.

My fear slowly began to fade away, replaced by a strange feeling of recognition. It was as if there was an understanding between us, a shared knowledge that ran deeper than words. This creature wasn't like the other monsters I had encountered. She had a profound intelligence and a gentle nature. It was as if she understood me, as if there was some kind of understanding between us, without ever exchanging a single word. I wondered what it could be and why I felt such a strong connection with this creature. Her presence was soothing, and I no longer felt afraid. I felt safe and protected, despite her towering frame. The way her eyes were observing me caused me to realize she was trying to communicate. Suddenly I heard someone clear their throat.

"Very good, it seems that this subject has great potential. Adam von Yeager, you have passed the test. The fact that you were not harmed is a sign that you may have an affinity for this type of monster," Mother Superior Euphemia revealed.

"What do you mean?" I questioned, still looking into the monster's eye.

"Come, I will explain in more detail. There is much that you must learn and prepare for before you can become the handler of this monster. But I must warn you, the monsters imprisoned here are beyond our understanding," Mother Superior Euphemia explained.

The monster girl stepped into the shadows, slipping out of view as if she knew it was time to leave me alone. I watched her go and felt a strange sense of sadness as she disappeared into the darkness. As the door closed behind me, The enigmatic and mysterious girl-monster kept observing me with a curious expression on her face. Mother Superior Euphemia closes the door and relocks the room.

I slowly followed Mother Superior Euphemia further into the sub-basement, my mind whirring with questions. What did she mean by 'beyond our understanding? Were there other monsters in those cell-like rooms?' The more answers I got, the more questions I had. The curiosity was overwhelming, but before I could ask any more questions, the Mother Superior closed the door and relocked it, shutting off any chance of exploring who the golden lioness monster girl was before her metamorphosis. Now I knew something strange was happening in this place, and I was determined to find out what it was.

My curiosity grew with every step we took. As I observed the locked cells that housed the monsters, I realized that some of them were nothing like I'd ever seen before. Some were humanoid, while others were something else entirely. Some were horrifying to behold, and some were strangely beautiful. There were so many different types, each with their own unique physical features and abilities. The Mother Superior finally stopped in front of one cell that looked like all the others, but there was something different about it, like an invisible energy emanating from within.

I had heard stories about monsters and the fear they invoked in people. No one knows what causes a person to turn into these nightmarish creatures, but when it happens, it causes a great stir in the local community. These entities are elusive yet deadly predators who often leave a trail of destruction in their wake, and most who witness a monster never survive. Hunters usually show up anywhere a monster has recently appeared or where there are signs of activity.

Due to my fear of being hunted myself, I constantly looked over my shoulder, hoping to be able to see nothing more than shadows and shadows wherever I went. The darkness was both comforting and terrifying. I could feel my heart pounding in my chest and knew that I had to stay alert. They were a threat to the community and needed to be eliminated. The thought of coming face-to-face with one of these creatures filled me with fear.

However, it was clear that I was facing danger, but for some reason, I felt a strange connection to them. 'Why was I drawn to these creatures instead of being terrified by them?' As I followed the nuns and the Mother Superior, we approached another set of heavy doors. The hooded figures opened the door, revealing a sophisticated laboratory inside. Many sisters were wearing white coats and seemed busy working on various experiments.

It was clear that we were in a place of knowledge, a place of learning and discovery. I had heard rumors and whispers of a new discovery known as science and technology, and now I was getting a first-hand look at it. It was a fascinating place, full of possibilities and new discoveries just waiting to be made. Inside the Hall was a completely different world than what I knew, one that was both puzzling and exciting.

I had no idea what this "science or technology" thing meant, but the stories I had heard described it as an advancement of otherworldly wisdom. I didn't think the Holy State was interested in such things, primarily since I had heard that the Grand Vatican of the Royal Papacy controlled such affairs. I knew nothing of these strange devices and experiments, but the curiosity was too much to bear. As I stepped further into the lab, I couldn't help but feel my mind spinning with new possibilities. I wondered what the purpose of this place was and why the nuns were doing experiments. 'Could this knowledge help explain the mystery of the monsters? Or was it something more sinister?' I knew I had to get to the bottom of it.
