Vesna was sitting on the bed. looking through one of the files she had brought home. Ziyan was lying beside her, his eyes closed but he was not asleep. His hand had found its way beneath her shirt, fingers tracing lazy, soothing circles on the soft skin of her stomach.

"Are you planning to make a comeback?" Vesna asked him, her eye never moving from the file.

"Not at this moment. There are still some matters I need to address first," Ziyan replied, unsurprised by her question. Given how her brain worked, he knew she must have noticed it earlier.

"So you do intend to make a comeback eventually," Vesna stated, her voice carrying a hint of satisfaction. She signed her name at the bottom of the file before closing it. Placing it carefully on the nightstand, she finally turned to face him, "I was starting to fear you have given up."
