Chapter 24: I'm sorry...

Rachel and Rakesh was laying in the grounds while they were waiting for her friends to return. Although Rachel was a bit of bored laying and just doing nothing. But she was there to guard Rakesh she is worried sick to him since he was acting strange.

A minute's past nothings change when suddenly Rakesh growl in pain and rubbing his head on the trees. Rachel wanted to help him ease the pain but she doesn't know what to do to help him.

It just stop when Rakesh started to bleed from his nose, it was like he was so tired and sick all the time.

Rachel notice it and wanting to help him but eventually he can't do anything to help him.

Rakesh stop from moving and Rachel notice it, but instead she was about to patted Rakesh when suddenly he growl at her.

Making Rachel felt nervous at the same time scared. Why on earth Rakesh growl at her, she doesn't do anything.

"Rakesh?" Rachel tries to call him but he did not bulge.

Rakesh continued to growl at her making Rachel felt uncomfortable it seems that Rakesh was trying to hunt her.

"Rakesh stop it!" Rachel said commanding Rakesh, but it keeps staring her to the point that Rakesh was growling at her.

"Rakesh please stop it" Rachel pleaded but it seems that Rakesh can't hear anything from her, he keeps on growling at her like she was some sort of enemy or a food that is going to haunt.

A minute passed Rakesh still growling at her when she decided to leave him for a moment but Rakesh move and blocked her way of going out. He was blocking her way to leave.

Rachel was now at the urge of terrified of him. It was like it wasn't the Rakesh she knows.

"Rakesh stop this please!" Rachel pleaded again but Rakesh wasn't listening to her when her friends entered and Rakesh suddenly freaked out. He eventually run towards them good thing that Rico was under control he gunshot Rakesh making him to sleep but it wasn't too easy for them to have a fight with him.

Rakesh tries to fight back and not making asleep while the girls Daisy, and Stacey help Rachel to get into herself and left the battle where Rakesh was fighting with Rico, Louis, and Dennis.

Even though those 3 were humans and cannot fight Rakesh who is still a dragon but the 2 knows his weak point they just encounter attack Rakesh until he finally fell asleep.

"Woah... I couldn't imagine that dragon was real!" Rico said leave out a sigh.

"Wait!" Rachel shout and escape from Stacey and Daisy, "What did you do to him?" She ask them.

"Don't worry, he just fell asleep. We need to do undergo surgery from him now before it's too late" Rico said.

"Oh, by the way. I'm Rico, Louis friend also a veterinarian" Rico said and wave his hand to handshake with Rachel.

"I'm Rachel, Rakesh... Owner... It should be, but..." Rachel said hesitated.

"Don't worry, I'm sure you were still his owner. He was acting a bit strange because of the chip that was implanted to him." Rico said.

"Chip?" Rachel ask.

"Well, it's too long to explain. We're running out of time but I will just do the operation to him at my office. For now we need a way for us to bring him there without no one notice it" Rico said.

"How about a carriage? I mean big carriage?" Rachel suggested.

"That would be tough, but yeah we can do that" Rico said.

Then Dennis and the others brought a carriage on their way back to the village from the forest to bring out Rakesh.

"When will he wakes up?" Rachel ask still looking at Rakesh.

"Evening... For sure it was evening. But in his point maybe a little bit earlier that evening" Rico said.

"Then we have to get there quick!" Rachel said.

"But it wasn't to easy for the horse to bring all of us there immediately. You see, this dragon is too big for sure it also heavy for horse to bring him too fast" Rico said.

"Then we will also push the cart to carry the weight of Rakesh" Dennis said, and push the cart who is Rakesh lying on. Louis and the others also help to push the cart.

It took hours when they arrive and all of them were exhausted. Except Rico who is going to do the operation.

"Well then, we will go the operation now and I need all of you to help me on this" Rico said. All of them nod, Rico wants them to wear gloves and a mask before they proceed the operation.

They help Rico to remove the chips although it wasn't too easy from them since Rakesh was too big and the chip that the researchers implanted from him was too small now.

But still they manage to remove it successfully.

"Right now, we will wait until he wakes up. For the meantime we should relax." Rico said and he orders his pet dog to make tea and coffee for them.

"I can't believe that your dogs were properly trained." Rachel said making Rico fluttered.

"Well, thank you. I also put collars on them so I could understand them quickly" Rico said.

"Yeah, I notice that your pets used to be very talkative. Good thing that you weren't that annoyed?" Rachel ask.

"Actually," Rico said laughing while scratching the back of his head. "It was too annoyed for me, since they were non stop talking" Rico said.

Then they laughed until Rachel notice the time. It was 3 in the afternoon.

"Let me see if Rakesh was awake" Rachel said then went to Rakesh room in the garage since it was too big for him to went inside the house were Rico was only living alone with his pet only and good for one person.

When Rachel was at the garage, she stop from entering and she felt her hear was beating so fast in nervous. She was thinking, what if it did not success? Will it be dangerous for her to stepped inside? Alone?

But then she erase that thought thinking that Rakesh she knows wont do such a thing like that. It was just because of the chip who was controlling him. Nothing more, nothing less. That is why he acted strange lately.

She deep breathe in and out before she knock on the door 3 times before entering the room. The dragon wasn't here but the human transformation was the only left there and sitting in the bed.

Rachel never been so happy when she sees him wakes up.

"Rakesh! I'm so happy that you're finally awake!" Rachel said and hug him in the back.

Rakesh seems to be in a deep thought that he wasn't able to communicate with her. "Rakesh?" Rachel ask. Finally Rakesh look at her. But the only thing that reminds what he said was the word. "I'm sorry"

"I'm sorry, Rachel. But... I think you will be in danger if you still hang out with me. I barely notice this from the beginning. Every time I was near you, you always set your foot in danger. Although I always saving you but still you will end up losing anything because of me." Rakesh said, he doesn't want to be sound defensive. Although he knows that Rachel always near him but it cannot change the fact that Rachel always putting herself in danger just to be with him.

"I think it's better if I left you and let you live normally before meeting someone like me. I know that it would be painful for us... But... This is the only way I could think of for you to be safe. And in order for me to survive in this world and guide my kind into the safest place here in the world.

It's better for us to be separate. You've been a good friend and owner for me Rachel. But I don't want you to be in danger just to help me" Rakesh said. Rachel couldn't help but let out her tears from her eyes... What was Rakesh trying to save was a bit hard for her to accept after what they did to each other.

"T-that's it!? You're going to leave me because of that?" Rachel ask. But Rakesh did not look on her.

"I don't know how to be grateful to have someone like you. Who understand us. But it was my decision in order for you to be safe" Rakesh said.

"That's selfish Rakesh..." Rachel said and her tears starts to flowing from her eyes.

"I did everything to make you stay by my side, to help you in any way I can... To become part of my world. I tried to save you... I tried everything to help you Rakesh... Everything!! And you're just gonna left me with just that dumb reason of yours?" Rachel said.

Rakesh nodded at her. "It's better to left you and make you live normally than you always stick around to me, and put you in grave danger. Rachel please understand, I don't want you to get hurt or to be in danger just to save me." Rakesh said.

"But why? Rakesh... why?" Rachel cracked in tears while asking.

"I'm sorry, but I made up my mind. It's better this way before I make full of regrets. I'm really sorry Rachel" Rakesh said, with that he went to the window and left her before she stops him from getting away.

"Rakesh..." Rachel said. "Please don't leave me?" She added but still Rakesh transform and made his way away from Rachel.

"Rakesh!" Rachel shouted, but he was too far that Rachel couldn't reach him now. She left there speechless and cry at the same time.

Her friends entered the room and they think they knew what just happen just by looking at the window who is still opened.
