Back home

Ren ran with his bag of supplies as he entered the city. The soldiers have already lost him so he wasn't worried about them. He sat on a bench catching his breath, Ren went to the road trying to catch a taxi. After failing for about half an hour, a pass by taxi seemed to take pity on Ren and stopped for him. Ren told the driver the address for Freya's home. The driver drove to the address and Ren asked for the driver to wait for a moment. The driver of course thought he was being scammed but with some convincing from Ren and seeing the size of the house he agreed to wait.

Ren ran to the house, quickly knocking on the door. A butler opened the doors, after the shock of seeing Ren he quickly called for Freya's parents Miss and Mr Creed who were asleep.

They came quickly in their pajamas and quickly lead for Ren to sit down on the couch

"Ren dear where is Freya" Miss Creed cried as Mr Creed sat next to her while the butler went to pay the driver

"I'm afraid I do not know Miss Creed" Ren repiled

"Tell us what happened" Mr Creed said trying to comfort his crying wife

Ren then explained everything that happened from the kidnapping, to Freya's escape, to how Freya came back and then being taken.

"My poor child, why couldn't she have escaped, why did only you come back" Miss Creed cried out continuing to sob into her husbands shoulder

"I'm sorry I wasn't able to protect Freya" Ren said lowering his head

"Tell me where the location of the place you were taken to" Mr Creek said less focused on his missing child and crying wife but more focused on the location of this criminal that would get him fame and money if he turned this criminal in

"I'm sorry I do not know I was to focused on protecting Freya and then escaping" Ren said once again lowering his head

"Your useless" Mr Creek spat and he shaked his head disappointedly, gesturing for Ren to leave as he comforted Miss Creek

Ren walked into his bedroom, in the servants quarters. As he walked in he saw his mother crying on his bed. As Ren's mother saw him, she started to cry louder as she got up and hugged her son.

"Ren your back, is this real? I was so worried you would never come back" Ren's mother cried as she hugged her son

"Yes mom I'm back, I'm sorry I made you worried" Ren said with a soft smile as he patted his mother's back in an attempt to comfort her not knowing what to do.

After some time of Ren comforting his mother, she stopped crying.

Ren's mother was a beautiful person by anyone's standards with her black hair and blue eyes, a straight-forward but kind personality. Maria (Ren's mother) was a strong person, rarely crying and when she did she never let her son see. She was a single mother, but a strong person always doing the best she could to love and take care of Ren.

This is the impression Nova got from the memories that Ren had, giving him a warm feeling thinking about the relationship of Ren and his mother.

"Ren, can you tell me what happened?" Maria said

Ren looked down looking upset

"Ren I'm glad your back and safe nothing else matters , you don't have to tell me what happened if you don't want to" Maria said seeing her son's expression

"It's just that I couldn't protect Frey, I couldn't take her back with me to her home" Ren says looking frustrated at himself

"Ren, Freya is important but so are you never think you are less then her just because your her servant, and I'm just glad your safe and I'm sure Freya will be too" Maria says holding Ren's hand, and comforting him

"Thanks mom" Ren smiling a small smile

"Now I'm going to make you some warm soup, after eating you should get some rest, then you can tell me what happened tomorrow ok?" Maria said

"Ok" Ren answered

Maria left a smile on her beautiful face as she went to the kitchen to make some soup as Ren sat on the bed

Maria came back 15 minutes later with some delicious chicken noodle soup. Ren ate quickly since he hadn't eaten in several hours and it was late at night. Then feeling exhausted he went to bed and fell asleep quickly after.
