Who To Believe

"Hi," Ava managed to get out after a few moments of staring at the guy. She couldn't remember his name. She has seen him a few times with Dan, Layla's friend, and they've barely spoken to each other.

Was he the one that had called her? Is he the person that she was supposed to be meeting with?

"You don't seem to remember me," the guy said smiling.

"I remember you, but I can't seem to remember your name. I'm sort," Ava gave him a shy smile.

"Kelvin, my name is Kelvin," the guy said presenting his hand to Ava for a handshake.

Ava took it, and they briefly shook hands.

Ava kept staring at the guy, waiting for him to say something that would indicate he is the one she was supposed to be meeting with.

"Were you about to leave?" Kelvin asked as he slipped into Ava's booth and sat down next to her.

"Uhm, yeah," Ava replied moving to the end of the booth because Kelvin was sitting too close.
