Psionic Level/Class Guide and Reference

A basic guide to the different classes of psionics and the psionic level required for each class.

Notes:

*Keep in mind that the universe is a 'big place' with an immeasurable number of humans residing in it (at this point of the novel). Although psionics make up only a very small fraction of the human population, that is still a lot of people. So even if a psionic class consists of 1% (as an example) of all total psionics, that is still hundreds of thousands of people.

*Unless otherwise stated, psionics typically don't get an increase in durability in proportion to their psionic level, i.e. a regular bullet to the head will still work.

*This is only in reference to how human psionics are classed and can only be considered as a relatively accurate guide for any non-human psionic.

F - Class: psionic level 1-99:

The weakest and most common class of psionic, F-class psionics make up about 70% of all total psionics. In comparison to the other psionics, those ranked as F-class are extremely weak and some F-class psionics' capabilities were so weak that it was almost impossible to distinguish them from non-psionics. However, there is always the possibility of cultivating one's psionic capabilities in order to exceed their limits and break into other classes.

E - Class: psionic level 100-999:

Despite being the second weakest and second most common class of psionic, E-class psionics are still a huge step up from their F-class peers. Making up approximately 15% of all total psionics, E-class psionics typically see themselves as 'superior' to their weaker F-class counterparts, especially since higher classed psionics are a lot more 'uncommon.'

D - Class: psionic level 1000-9999:

It is often joked about how misleading the letter 'D' is when referring to the 'elite' D-class. Making up about 8% of all total psionics, the psionics within the D-class are leaps and bounds beyond their 'lesser' brethren. For a figurative comparison of the difference in power between the D and the lower classes, the lower classes would be regular infantrymen in an army while the D-class would be the armoured tanks.

C - Class: psionic level 10,000-99,999:

If the D class could be referred to as 'tanks' in comparison to the other classes, then the psionics of the C-class would be an entire army. With only around 4% of all total psionics making up the C-class, the C-classed (and above) psionics are often prodigies that are born with a naturally high psionic level and/or talent for psionic energy manipulation. Since their level power is so inconceivably high, members of the C-class and beyond are commonly grouped together by lesser minded people.

B - Class: psionic level 100,000-999,999:

The highly prestigious B-class are treated as the 'super elite' and make up approximately 2% of all total psionics. Very rarely will 'legal' B-class (and above) psionics be seen taking part in any action as they are often reserved for only the gravest of threats to humanity. Governments often hesitate to deploy B-class psionics in an effort to preserve them due to their rarity and immense power. Nevertheless, a single B-class squad would be able to turn the tide of any conventional battle just by themselves.

A - Class: psionic level 1,000,000- 9,999,999:

The self-proclaimed 'peak' of psionics, the A-class only make up around 1% of all total psionics. Incredibly talented and gifted, A-class psionics are typically coveted by every single human nation as living superweapons. Life as a literally and figuratively powerful A-class psionic is both prestigious and dangerous, as a nationally beloved celebrity as well as a target for any forces hostile to their nations.

S - Class: psionic level 9,999,999+

The true 'peak' of all psionics, members of the S-class are widely respected and feared by the human race. Over the past few millennias the number of S-class psionics has never exceeded 100, thus leading some to worship them as the 'chosen few' of a deity despite the fact that there was never any evidence for this. On the other hand, some others claim that S-class psionics don't even exist and were simply products of propaganda (which is an incorrect theory which can be easily proven wrong.)

SS - Class: psionic level ???:

Although it is believed to be virtually impossible for a so-called 'SS' class psionic to exist, it is also well known that should one ever come into existence, that SS-class psionic would be a god among men.
