Chapter 1: The beginning of the end

Daro jolted awake as he felt that his body was electrocuted, a wave of pain woke him up and a blinding light filled his eyes, in an attempt to reduce the blinding light and stop it from burning his pupils, Daro closed his eyes, only to find out that the light was inside his pupil too, few seconds of pain insued as his pupils automatically tries to get used to the light, and with the pain slowly fading away, he could distinguish a few words inside his eyes "World downloading" start up in 3.. 2.. 1… and the world went blind once again.

A few seconds, passed and as Daro opened his eyes once more, he realised that the blinding light and the words were gone, for a second he believed that it was only a dream, that is, until he looked around and realised some of the passengers were also looking confused while others, had fainted, he turned back on his sit and asked the passenger behind him, if he saw anything weird, only to be ignored and cold stared at, that cold stare, only brought him to reality, his low quality old cloths did little to pass a good first impression, and realising that he would get no information from the man, he just turned back into his seat. He closed his eyes once again and tried to go back to sleep, but within three minutes a loud scream cut the peace that permeated within the bus. He stood up from his seat quickly and with his hand closer to the gun he turned to look at the direction the scream sounded. A few seats in front of him to the left, a middle aged lady feasting on the shoulder of a young woman, he could see a lot of blood splashing out, tainting the blue stuffed seats of the bus and the young woman in hysterics trying to pull the crazy woman out of her, a few passengers rushed to help, and tried pushing the old woman out of the girl, and when they finally did it, the old woman turned around and started biting the neck of the man who tried to help, at the same time, the young woman who got her shoulder bitten started convulsing and stopped moving, for about 20 seconds and with incredible dexterity, jumped into another person that went to help with her wounds, with the cycle repeating in front of his eyes, Daro slowly remembered the cringe ads he used to see on tv when his dad allowed him, and remembered the surrealistic cenarios of zombies, aliens, monsters, etc. He wasn't sure what was going on, but years of having to improvise on the run with his "thug" friends, he learned to think fast, the bus driver stopped the bus to check what the commotion was, and using this time with the bus stopped, he opened the bus door and left it. Few people that thought of the same left too, screams of terror, pain and horror, could be heard all around the bus, and the sound of flesh being eaten and bones crunching made the stomach of the few passengers that left with him churl, causing them to puke. Daro swiftly distanced himself from them in order to get away from the gross scene, watching everyone with his hand hoisted on his 9mm. Everything happened in less than 4 minutes, which Daro was still trying to assimilate the horrendous situation on which he got himself in, 2 more minutes passed and eventually the screams died down, bringing the scenery around the bus with a gloomy incredibly loud silence. Slowly the three other passengers approached the bus, but halted halfway since movements could be heard in the doorway of the bus, the man that Daro asked what happened earlier was now leaving the bus, at first he appeared normal, but observing from a distance daro could see droplets of blood, dripping down from his back, a black skinned middle aged lady approached the man, with a questioning tone asking what happened, the man seemed zoned out, until he caught sight of the middle aged lady, leaping in a agile jump towards her and bringing both of them to the floor. Toupoliging over and rolling on the ground, before coming to a halt.
