Liron was in the large living room sitting on the couch when a young elf came scurrying into the room.

"A royal carriage is heading our way, sir!"

Liron got to his feet, eyes narrowed. "Gather the others. They know what to do."

"Where are you going?"

"That's none of your concern. Go."

Liron waited until the little boy was out of view before running up the stairs to the top floor where there was a balcony overlooking the town.

He looked out the glass windows and saw the carriage slowly heading toward them. Liron opened the door and closed it back, then climbed up the side of the house and clambered on the roof. He hid behind the chimney and watched as the carriage passed.

He gasped when he saw Siarah sitting in the back with her hands in her lap. She looked up and her eyes locked with his.

When the carriage was out of sight, Liron slid from his hiding place and jumped down to the ground. He made sure to grab his cloak before he ran after it.

Liron pulled the hood over his face. He knew he wouldn't catch up to it in time, but then it stopped.

Siarah climbed out and ran toward him, tears spilling onto her cheeks. Liron wrapped his arms around her.

"Siarah, where are you going?"

Siarah sniffled. "My grandmother's house. Father is sending me away for fear that the werewolves would attack. You and the others must move, since I'm no longer here I can't guarantee your safety."

Liron nodded. "Understood, Princess."

"There's no telling how long I'll be gone." Siarah cried. "How will I find you?"

"My favorite color is green. Where I'm going will be too dangerous, but I'll have a full view of the palace. I'll come to you."

Siarah nods. "Don't forget me."

Liron kissed her. "Believe me. I won't."
