Facing the Monster Invasion Alone

Two days have passed since the warning of the monster invasion. One could see the dense horde of monsters moving toward the town with their full force. They had the clear intention of destroying this town and moving to another one.

However, there was no one on the town wall. The whole town was empty.

A guy wearing a luxurious shirt covered in a black jacket moved to the high walls. The monsters were just 500m away from the wall.

It won't take more than 10 minutes for them to reach the wall and destroy it in a blink of an eye. The monster looked unfriendly and ferocious just from the aura they were emitting.

Ordinary people can't see this, but a mage could see the black clouds forming on top of the monster's head. This was demonic mana clearly known as black mana.

In the front of this horde was a humanoid demon. The magical Lion. The humanoid demon had the head of the lion. A dense golden beard was on its chin and a golden long hair was swaying with the wind.

It had yellow skin. Its body was covered in yellowish fur, and its legs were two times thicker than that of a normal human covered in fur.

The magical lion was covered in fur, so it was not wearing any clothes. Thankfully, it didn't have any fleshy rod dangling on his lower body, or it would have been awkward to just look at him.

Noah stood at the town wall.

The folks already retreated to the nearest city they could find. Of course, no other magician was called, and it was all left to Noah.

But, could it be true? Could other cities be quiet and look at the cursed town being trampled by the monsters and wait for their turn? Of course, not. They had already sent reinforcement and also requested more magicians from the capital.

The force will come in time, and the time will be after the destruction of the cursed town. This cursed town was sore in the eye of other lords since it wasn't managed by anyone and had to give them food at a cheap price.

The capital was provided minimal support, so no one will care even if this town was wiped away from the face of this planet.

Noah took a deep breath. His lips curled up and looked at the monsters like they were his property.

"It's magic time."

Saying that Noah raised his hands.

"Earth Connection"

He mumbled it.

A magic circle formed on his hand.

The magical lion didn't feel anything and he marched forward. He saw a man on top of the wall. Seeing a single man didn't make him feel anything. He just thought that man was an idiot.

The magical lion was a tier 3 monster. So, it didn't have much intelligence. Its intelligence only surpassed some monsters, and it could be considered a stupid or foolish monster.

While he was marching forward, the land behind him started to shrink.

The monster was stupid with not much intelligence. But their instinct told them something was up. But before they could feel any threat, the earth shrank down and a cater formed.

The huge crater swallowed 80% of the monsters. The furthest monsters stopped in their tracks and looked at the huge hole.

Before they could react, balls of fireball rained at them. Small explosions occurred around, and small explosions became big as they were exploding together.

The explosions killed the monsters, their skin turned black and one could even see their flesh turning into ashes.

Again, the flood swallowed the burnt corpses. Noah controlled the flood skillfully and made sure they were collected in one place.

He then cast a frisky tornado.

A big rotating wind formed in the middle of the flood. The water along with the corpses rotated along the tornado. The transparent tornado was now filled with black color.

All of these moved at the wall and were accumulated behind the walls, on the ground of the town.

Hundreds of magic circles hovered in the sky. Noah had been proficient in casting water spells, so he could cast many magic circles at short intervals of time.

The magic circles were all above the huge pit. As it rained, the water was swallowed by the pit. Not long after, the pit was on the verge of filling.

The monsters who were dead from the impact of falling from the high place were revealed. Their corpses floated above and some lucky monsters who survived were drowning. He controlled the earth again after canceling the water spell.

He wasn't that skillful to cast multiple spells at one go. He could only cast one spell at a time. Multiplying the magic circle wasn't that hard and wasn't that rare.

The force of thousands of monsters died with just one man. Even if it was the mage of a higher tier, he couldn't kill this many monsters in this short period of time.

Even though the monsters are weak, they have greater numbers. So, hundreds of mages of any tier could acquire this achievement but not a single mage.

Noah nodded with satisfaction.

Even if the monsters had died, their cores will be preserved. A core is tough, it can even withstand a nuclear bomb.

The magical lion on the other hand was dumbfounded.

When he looked back, he only saw a huge pit, and water swallowing his soldiers.

His legs shook and fear swarm his body.

He reflexly took a step back and gulped down.

His face had darkened and he was on verge of kneeling down.

Noah smiled evilly while looking at the magical lion.
