"Flamebird and Nightwing? Dragons are still alive?" Aiden asked with excitement. He had grown up around the Targaryens who used to fly atop dragons and he had seen the skulls and bones of them, but they were believed to be extinct.
"Of course they are. Just because they die out on one world doesn't mean they are gone. There are other worlds that have them too. They come in all kinds, some are nothing more than beasts while others have extreme intelligence and can use magic spells. Go on, go meet them, they were probably just reborn since they had put themselves into stasis to await you to fully form." Sho signalled to Aiden to go ahead.
Aiden looked in the direction to a door that showed two dragons, one made entirely of flames while another was as dark as the night sky, they were biting each others tails as they flew in a circle.
Aiden ran over to the door which split down the middle and opened to each side allowing Aiden to enter. Within the room were two opposing environments, one of flame and another of ice.
On the flaming side a beautiful and elegant dragon made of flames stretch its body as if it had recently awaken, it was the size of a medium dog with large wings and four limbs.
The other side revealed a muscular black dragon with spikes all over its body, it looked more aggressive, however it wasn't showing any signs of aggression to Aiden as it spread its wings like the other and began to fly over to Aiden.
They circled him and inspected him, after a few circles the flaming dragon dived into Aidens chest and snuggled her head up to his neck.
Although she was made of flames Aiden didn't get burned, only warmth, he felt a bond form between them at that moment which surprised him. Then the black dragon flew in front of Aiden and touched its head to Aiden's which formed a bond between them as well.
"Alright, they are now connected to you, they will now need to hibernate again to adjust to your energy signature. They couldn't bond with me since I am too powerful, you haven't unlocked your full potential yet so they were able to bond to you, but your energy is like mine, which is a higher form to what they are used to, so they need to adjust. While that is happening its time we get you ready for whats to come shall we." Sho said as a grin formed on his face.
Instantly a shudder ran down Aiden's spine as he heard that, both dragons also quickly flew back to their spots within the enclosure.
"Why do I get the feeling you are trying to turn me into a punching bag?" Aiden asked with a shudder.
"Well you see little bro, it's so hard to find good opponents these days. So I figured hey, we are basically twins so who better to fight than your twin? It would be one for the ages, but as you are now, I don't even need to lift a finger to be able to defeat you." Sho said, and using his telekinesis he picked Aiden up by the back of his neck.
"Hey, w..what are you doing?" Aiden said as he began to flail around trying to escape the grip. He was getting a really bad feeling rise in his head.
"Don't worry little brother, I know just what to do. I call it the Sho High Intensity Training Simulation, or SHITS for short. Its a crash course in everything from fighting and technology, but mostly fighting. By the time your finished you will be a new man. Have fun." Sho said with a smile as he then walked to a large circle in the middle of the main room.
It too had the large sigil of house El engraved on it.
"Kelex initiate SHITS program." Sho said aloud.
"Program located. Warning! Program found to be highly dangerous. Please proceed with caution." Kelex voice was heard.
"No no no stop. I don't like this." Aiden struggled even harder to escape.
"Meh, you'll be fine little brother. You won't die. At least you shouldn't, your my brother after all, we are made from some tough stuff. Oh and just so you know, the program doesn't end until you've passed the tests so make sure you pass, otherwise you may be trapped within for a while. See you." Sho brought Aidens flailing body over to the circle which began to open.
Aiden seeing the darkness below got even more desperate to escape.
"Program Intiating. Good luck." Kelex voice was heard then Aiden was dropped into the hole by Sho. His scream echoed as he was shot down into the darkness.
The doors closed once again leaving the fortress empty, Sho returned to his own Fortress he had stationed on his side of the Omniverse with a laugh.
'By the time he is done with that program he should be ready to begin his travels amongst the universes. It will still take some time before I can enjoy the benefits, but they always say the best things in life take time. I may finally get the fight I have been craving all this time.' Sho thought to himself as he couldn't stop his smile of excitement.
Then he noticed something happening in one of the various universes he watched over.
'Oh, look, that guy looks strong. Damn he even killed Kal-El, and multiple versions of him. Batman who Laughs eh? Well let's go see just who gets the last laugh.' Sho thought excitedly as he vanished to go have himself some fun.
Back on Planetos, as Aiden began to suffer a grueling training program that Sho had specifically designed for Aiden, Westeros had began to recover slowly from the rebellion.
After the storm had destroyed most of the Targaryen fleet, Stannis Baratheon had attacked Dragonstone, but learned that the Queen and Princess as well as the children had all escaped. Their whereabouts unknown.
This infuriated King Robert, so as punishment he made their youngest brother Renly Baratheon lord of their ancestorial castle of Storm's End and made Stannis lord of Dragonstone instead.
As per his agreement King Robert married Cercei Lannister, Tywins daughter and twin sister to Jaime Lannister. However it was a loveless marriage, due to the constant reminder that it was Cercei's twin brother who had kept Elia and her children from him and was currently missing.
Cersei did become pregnant, and once she was Robert no longer joined her in the bedroom, preferring the company of whores now that he had did his duty to put an heir into her.
Cercei was a very beautiful woman, with a slim build, long golden blonde hair, full breasts and wide hips. Many men had wanted her hand, but Tywin refused each one, he had plans for her. He was determined to make her a queen.
Robert just couldn't stand her due to Jaime's actions and thus Tywin not living fully up to his promise. He gave him Kings Landing and Aerys corpse, but he didn't get the women and children.
Jon Arryn was made Hand of the King, and Barristan Selmy took Gerold Hightower's position of Captain of the Kingsguard. Robert had to find six more Kingsguard to fill the ranks, which was a very difficult process.
Although they weren't able to fill the Kingsguard completely, with the aid of Jon Arryn and the Lannisters, Ser Meryn Trant, Ser Boros Blount, Ser Preston Greenfield, Ser Arys Oakheart and Ser Mandon Moore were all assigned under Barristan as the Kingsguard.
Eddard Stark and his men returned to Winterfell, where Ned was greeted by his new wife Catelyn Tully, now known as Catelyn Stark. Due to his brothers death, Ned was pressured to take her as his wife to maintain the alliance, using words like honor bound when Jon Arryn informed him of what had to happen, Ned reluctantly agreed.
Now they had their first child, Catelyn had named him after Ned's good brother Robert Baratheon, naming the first born son and heir Robb Stark.
Upon seeing his son, Ned had temporarily forgot the troubles he was thinking along the journey home. Over time he did fall in love with Catelyn and her with him, they began to have children in quick succession of one another. Not long after one being born she would be pregnant with the next one.
As time went on and with no word on the Targaryens, many of the people had all but forgotten the fallen house. They had to struggle to survive on a daily basis so they didn't dwell on something that didn't directly affect them.
However the nobles did not forget about the missing dragon, they lived in fear of the possible retribution that could come in the future. The Targaryens were known to be cruel against their enemies, and Viserys was known to be mad already before the rebellion. A person driven by both madness and vengeance is a frightful person.
Their madness could either work against them causing them to do idiotic things which would get them killed or caught easily, or it could make them a strategic genius allowing them to think outside the box, doing things that would cause devistating results against their enemies, you never knew what it can do.
All the kingdoms began to work together except for two, Dorne and the North actually distanced themselves from the crown.
They paid the taxes owed monthly but that was as far as they cooperated with the crown. They didn't participate in the numerous tournaments the king held.
Ned Stark hadn't been able to find out any new information on who had betrayed his trust.
He didn't have much time to investigate either, between ironborn raids and raids from wildlings had taken up much of his time.
The Greyjoy's on the Iron Islands were beginning to raid the north in secret, unlike their previous raids of going after villages, they went after their trees. They used small raids on settlements to distact the northern lords from their main groups.
Part of their agreement with the Targaryens was that after they bent the knee, they were restricted from buying wood and building ships. Ever since Robert took over they began to steal wood from the north.
They were planning their own rebellion against Robert, knowing that the kingdom was not as united as it once was. Only the Lannister, Arryn, Tully and Baratheon families were fully loyal to the crown.
The Tyrells in the Reach were loyal on the surface, however due to the Hightower family they were aware of much more than the others. Gerold Hightower had sent word to his family various times.
He warned them that the Targaryens weren't as low in strength as they appeared. He was loyal to the Targaryens first and foremost, but he also knew about Aiden, although Aiden had left suddenly and not returned, he knew Aiden would return.
He feared his family may invoke the wrath of Aiden by clinging to the king, although he didn't directly tell them of Aiden he was adamant that if the Targaryens wanted to take back the throne, they could do so at any time.
This startled the Hightower family greatly, they had close ties to the Maesters, so the head of House Hightower was aware of what the Maesters had been doing against the dragon.
Lord Layton Hightower, who was head of house Hightower, had called several meetings regarding this information. In fact he began to distance himself from the Citadel, in case it was ever found out what a small order of Maesters had been up to against the Targaryen family.
He also had a meeting with Lady Olenna Tyrell, the true head of the house that governed the Reach. Although her son Mace Tyrell was named as Lord of Highgarden, most all the nobles knew it was really Olenna who held the power and made the decisions.
When Olenna was told that Gerold Hightower and the missing Kingsguard were alive and well and that the Targaryens would be returning, this was not something she wished to hear.
Although they were the last to bend the knee, in the end they had broke their oath to the dragon. Like many of the older generation, she knew the Targaryen words were more than just a phrase.
Fire and Blood.
It's what always came to the enemies of the dragon. Even when the dragons were gone, they still had ruthlessly put down small rebellions and such as the Iron Islands and pirates from Slavers Bay.
So although the Tyrells showed loyalty on the outside, they were secretly in search of the Targaryens, hoping to locate them to swear loyalty before it was too late. The only clue they had was that they were in Essos, Gerold didn't inform his family of where they were, only that they were alive and well, as was the heir to the throne.
Maesters also caught wind of the news, the Citadel was funded by the Hightower family, and trying to keep such news under wraps was impossible. Especially if it had family ending consequences.
So began the search in Essos, Robert had even began to hire assassins in an attempt to kill the Targaryens. He didn't believe the rumors of the Targaryens having a hidden power, many had said the Targaryens were able to birth a dragon and that they were only waiting for it to grow.
This is what many believed when the rumors spread, no matter how long dragons had been gone, everyone knew that there were still many eggs out scattered across the world. Targaryens have tried to hatch them multiple times.
Although the last several attemts had failed miserably, the last even having disastrous consequences, Viserys I brother had attempted to hatch dragon eggs at Summerhall only to be burned to death along with his whole family after it failed.
But everyone knew, all it takes is one success, then the most terrible weapon of war in the history of this world would once again return.
Although their thoughts were not correct, they weren't far from the truth. Viserys had found out the reason for them coming to Essos. The Targaryens had three dragon eggs that they kept in Pentos for safe keeping.
Viserys began to delve into ancient books, in an attempt to try to hatch one himself, he felt he was the dragon so therefore the eggs belonged to him. His madness got worse when he learned he wasn't the heir to the throne.
Aegon Targaryen, born from Lyanna Targaryen was the heir, and his half brother with the same name born from Elia was next in line, so his madness slowly worsened, leaving Rhaella at a loss of what to do.
Especially when he learned that the three eggs were for the three children of Rhaegar and not one would be his, Rhaegar had been the one to give them to Illyrio for safe keeping, Viserys began to turn on his mother and family, plotting against them all.
