Blood summons, bloody bats

"He is a fucking monster. Run for your life. If we get caught, he will gauge our hearts!" Seeing William just gauge a heart out from one guy's body, the group of assassins felt utmost despair rising in their hearts. They started shouting in fear as they tried to run away from William. They had seen him killing their leader like it was nothing to him and the next moment, he killed another guy in the blink of an eye.

"Monster huh, how ironic of these humans? Just a moment ago, these were the same people who wanted to kill a single woman along with her child and now they are the ones calling me a monster," William whispered.

As he stared at the assassins, every single of them started running away from him away. No one wanted to die like that and no one wanted to get associated with each other at this point. Every single one of them ran in a different direction in order to avoid William. Observing the ignorance of these assassins, a wicked smile appeared on William's face.

Taking a deep sigh, he whispered to himself,

<Blood summons, bloody bat swarm>

Then he bit his finger and dripped his blood on the ground. In an instant, the surrounding weather become chilly, and a giant portal appeared under his feet. The night seemed to have turned into a day for a moment as one after another, thousands of bats started swarming out from that portal.

"Leave no one alive, suck them dry," William murmured, and the next moment those bats started swarming out in different directions following William's commands, chasing after the assassins trying to run away.

At the same time, Veronica was taken aback by this. Not even in her wildest dreams had she seen something like that. One after another, a swarm of bats came out of the portal. William did nothing but bite his finger and drip some blood on the ground as he mumbled a few words.

A moment later, the portal under his legs disappeared and William turned his head to look at Veronica, who was looking back at him with her eyes wide open. Instantly, he appeared in front of her.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

Hearing William's voice, Veronica came to her senses and looked at him.

"I am fine..." She replied in a low voice.

William nodded and the next moment he took a step toward her and placed his hand over her shoulder. Before she could understand anything, they were suddenly standing in front of Veronica's room.

"It's too late for you, go get some sleep," Willaim said as he looked at her.

She was dumbfounded when she found herself standing in front of her room, but a moment later she didn't bother to ask him how he did that. After all, she knew that vampires are known for their speed, and William's speed was beyond Veronica's imagination. So, there was no point in asking him how he did all that. Other things were running through her mind.

This time, those people had not come to threaten her. They were there to kill her along with Roselyn. Suddenly, Veronica's heart started pounding faster and louder than usual. As she thought about what would have happened if William was not present there, she raised her head to look at him.

"What about those people, what if they came back?" She asked in a trembling voice.

"Don't worry about them, they will soon join their friends. There is something else bothering me at the moment, this Nolan guy wants you dead pretty badly. Is there anything you want to tell me…?" William asked as he looked at Veronica.

"I have nothing to say..." She responded to William and entered her room and closed the door from inside,

William heaved a deep sigh seeing this and a smile appeared on his face. He could understand that it was too much for her after what she has been through.

"Humans and their weird nature, I wonder if she is scared of me or if there is something she doesn't want to tell me…" William whispered in a low voice as he ruffled his silver hair and disappeared from that place. The next moment, he appeared next to the window of his room as he gazed at the moon.

Meanwhile, inside Solana city, a scene of carnage was taking place. Several people were running here and there for their lives as they were being eaten alive by bats. One after another, the bat swarm was hunting the assassins. Upon hearing their horrified screams, people started coming out of their houses to find out what was happening in the middle of the night. Some were peeking out from their windows, not daring to open their doors. But alas, despite witnessing the complete massacre in front of their eyes, no one dared to try to help the assassins who were being eaten alive by those strange creatures. Everyone ran back to their houses and shut their doors from inside, frightened of those creatures.

"What was that, what the hell did I see?"

"What are those strange creatures? They were munching those people alive!"

"Oh my lord, is this because of that dungeon break?"

Witnessing this dreadful event, various kinds of talk started happening throughout the city. Those creatures were eating the assassins slowly, giving them slow yet painful deaths. Most of the people related this event to the recent dungeon break that happened far away from Solana city. Even though they had seen various kinds of creatures, this time it was different.
