She tried repeatedly to turn on her phone and laptop, but to no avail. She could only curl up in a corner and quietly pray for rescue.

One hour later, Jiang Chen slowly woke up from his sleep. He managed to regain some strength and support himself to stand and walk regularly. He tried to stand up, but a heavy burden suddenly weighed on his body. Then he saw his sister sleeping beside him, hugging his waist while her face was red.

When he finally managed to sit, he didn't notice that his sister's body was trembling. Then he looked around and saw the monster's body was still there, and its head was brutally pierced by his black army knife. The monster's body shape was the same as that of an Ursa, but the difference was that it had long arms and its whole body was rotten.

According to his fragmented dream memories, there were creatures called Corrupted Tyrant Soul Eaters who had a penchant for consuming living beings to gain their memories. Although they didn't attack mentally, their bodies were harder than iron, and they would randomly launch sneak attacks. If one managed to slay a Tyrant Soul Eater, they could obtain a crystal from its head. The crystals were highly advantageous as they could fortify the soul of the person who consumed them, but there was a limit of three crystals per person, and they were extremely rare.

He had a feeling that all of this was not a coincidence, but rather a grand scheme. But who was behind it all?

As he woke up, he felt a weight on his body due to exhaustion. Jiang Yan's body was leaning on him, so he moved her to the side and became engrossed with thoughts of the Corrupted Tyrant Soul Eater's appearance.
