"Kris! Behind you." Ethan warns as the light approaches from behind her. She was not able to react quickly thus Ethan took matters into his own hands. With a fast pace, he jolts to Kris.
He then pushes her to the ground and asks, "Why were you unable to react?" This was the very same question Kris asked Ethan during the time she saved him. There was a moment of silence between the two of them. They both smile as their eyes glimmer.
Suddenly, Ethan feels something unusual happening. He looks to his foot and noticed that it has touched the light. Slowly, he fades into dust. I saw them from above and I felt sorry for Kris. Her heart throbbed the moment Ethan started to turn into dust.
She quickly stands, holding on him tightly as a single tear trickles down her left eye. Even in these kinds of anguished moments, the two of them were made of bliss. The saddest thing about friendship is when somebody has to go, and by looking at them I remember Charlotte. As Ethan hugs Kris, time stood still. Everything froze. Their tears flowed down each other's backs and finally, Ethan let go.
She kneels down, mourning for the loss of her friend while her hands held Ethan's ashes tightly. All of a sudden, her tears come to a pause. She wipes them off and stands right back to her feet. Her teeth grind upon each other as she glares maliciously to the grunts surrounding her. She then drops his ashes off her hands.
"You will pay for this!" She yells as loud as she can. From her pocket, she tosses one final Pokemon, a Togekiss. Ah, I remember her Togepi when we first met each other in this exact city. Seeing it again proves how strong they have become. The bond that lingers within, now erupts.
Back in the tower, Ebony continues to mourn. Bad luck arises at the parallel tower when suddenly it begins to collapse. Humboldt and Professor Violet were nowhere to be seen afterward but I assume they have survived the fall just like how Professor Violet tricked me during my times against the infamous Pokemon Government Council which is now nothing but a disbanded organization.
"I wanted to kill you myself. If you suicided then my goals won't be achieved." I reply to Ebony's question sarcastically.
"Then do it. I have lived in a world full of lies and I cannot bear it anymore. This is too much for my sanity to handle. I used to believe in my mother's words and now I think of her as a liar." She commands willingly, as she hands over a knife used for cutting bread or emergency purposes.
"Don't do it!" Lilith shouts from her ship.
"I was thinking to use a Pokemon but a knife will probably do."
"Luna, this isn't the time for your malevolence to show. We are under a siege for Arceus's sake!" Upon receiving the knife, Virgo halts me, trying to grab the sharp object from my grasps.
"I was being sarcastic. Although I have the urge to kill you I believe this is not the time to do it. Virgo is right. We are under a siege and it is only right for this to end before returning to our personal conflict against each other. After all, no one expected Shadow Lugia to rise out of the dark clouds." I utter gently, rubbing her head afterward.
"Do me a favor. Stop mother for me and make sure Emily is safe. I'm sorry, but I can't." utters, Ebony as she moves her body closer to me. Due to this, she pierces herself with the knife on my hand. The three of us were all flabbergasted by her actions. I could've stepped back but she moved her body too rapidly.
Ebony suicided on my hands and every single one of us knows about this. From Lilith's perspective, however, I killed her daughter. Inside her ship, she falls, losing her breath quickly. She grasps for them earnestly. Her heart was crippled, and every emotion was drained out of her body except for two. Anger and grief. The poison of deep grief dwells in her body as she wishes to kill me.
"Luna Evergreen!" She yelps, banging the control panel of the mother ship brutally like a rampaging freak.
"I will do what her favor."
"What Luna?! You're going to end your life if you battle Lilith, believe me! Don't do this alone, I'm coming with you." Virgo and Jenny holds each of my hand as they refrain me from doing Ebony's favor.
"I must put an end to all of this!" With persuasion, I struggle out of their grip and jumped off the tower. They reacted quickly, tilting their heads down the tower. Strangely, they were unable to see my body dies. I did not intend to suicide in the first place.
Suddenly, I ascend back to them, riding unto Ho-Oh's back. Meanwhile, the mirages and the legendary beasts had formed a truce to take down Shadow Lugia while I attend my agenda with Lilith.
"If this does not end, not only with Johto perish but also Team Rocket. I am doing this for them as well. I am not a heroine. It just so happens that in order to save my organization I must save the rest." I say.
"Ho-oh, Vamos!" I beam with determination. The legendary bird shrieks and heads for the mother-ship.
"Find the Silver Wing!" I bid to the two of them.
"I want you alive when you return," Virgo yells, while gesturing me with the wave of her hand. Hearing her words, I look back unto them, giving a large smirk on my face.
Once the Rebirth Society ends, the light will too, and thus we face one last problem and that is Shadow Lugia. This will be my final stand against Lilith and I will win against her this time for sure.
Ethan and Kris are friends, that's all. From the first paragraphs, you've finally noticed how terrible I am when it comes to writing romance and I will do my best to improve and learn all the basics about romance writing styles especially for the upcoming volumes. Despite this, I do not plan to make romance the main genre of this fanfiction. But still, there will be but only a pinch or so.
