The plan

Getting the emergency message, Vidal wasted no time heading towards Whirl Islands riding Dragonite. Dragonite has already gotten used to running here and there with Vidal.

Vidal could make a rough guess of the appearance of Team Shadow in the Whirl Islands.

The exact location sent by Professor Elm was Silver Rock Isle. Additional information will be given by Susan.

After speeding to Silver Rock Isle, Professor Elm assisted Vidal in finding Susan's location. She was in a boat waiting for backup.

Vidal landed on the boat. "Susan, what are you waiting for?"

"I am waiting for backup. I have asked Professor Oak and Professor Elm for immediate backup. The situation got more complicated when Team Rocket joined the ferry as well. Susan explained that both Team members are facing each other at the moment.

'Backup. I think that should be me. I shouldn't tell her about it.' Vidal has no chance of getting more people sent, since he is already present.

"Team Rocket… Then, there is no need to wait. Let's get closer to them." Vidal said.

"I am the leader here. It is too dangerous for only two of us to go there. We can wait for some time."

Vidal sighed, "The backup you are waiting for is me. There is no one else coming. We can check up with the Professor."

Susan reluctantly took out a device which looked similar to Pokedex and contacted Professor Oak.

"Since you are the backup, don't disappoint me. We will go there immediately." Susan with some shock and some helplessness followed Vidal's instructions.

On the northern side of Silver Rock Isle, two flying ships were hovering in the sky. And two submarines were resting on the water.

Dr. Namba from Team Rocket was facing off against a female from Team Shadow.

The battle was not convenient due to being in the middle of the sea. Misdreavus and Kadabra were floating on air near the Shadow ship and Tentacruel and Cloyster were in the sea.

The water Pokemons were taking orders from Cassidy and Butch from Team Rocket and Dr. Namba was watching from the sideline with an Electabuzz beside him.

The prize of the battle was none other than the child Lugia who was inside the cage floating in the sea. Mother Lugia was nowhere to be seen at the moment.

When the boat entered the range of Team Shadow and Team Rocket, there were a few people who recognized him.

Jessie and James from Team Rocket and Zeph and Vega from Team Shadow whispered something in the ear of Namba and the female. Immediately both teams changed their focus to Vidal.

"They sure like me too much. You just need to focus on getting closer to Lugia, Susan. I will handle the rest." Vidal said.

"Starmie, you handle those in water. And also free that Lugia. Alakazam you take care of those in the sky." Vidal let his two Pokemon out.

"Lugia. Where? Susan left the steering wheel of the boat and ran to the front deck of the boat.

"This is big news. We need to inform Professor Oak and other Professors fast. We need to protect that Lugia at all costs." Susan called her entire party out. But only Noctowl and Politoed were useful in the situation.

"Don't worry about that." Vidal tried to calm her down. But both Noctowl and Politoed started attacking Team Rocket Pokemons.

"Kid, so you are the one responsible for foiling our plan in Kanto. It won't be easy handling me like those two incompetent fellows." The female from Team Shadow sent both Misdreavus and Kadabra towards Vidal.

"Alakazam, we don't have much time. You don't want to break the schedule created by you guys right?" Vidal said to Alakazam.

"ALAKA…ZAM…" "A…LA…KA…ZAM…"

Alakazam went full release with his psychic power. Misdreavus and Kadabra including the two flying ships and also the submarine were all under the control of Alakazam.

As he lifted the submarine at the height of Team Shadow Ships, Alakazam cast everything like a ball towards the horizon.

Starmie also freed the Lugia and returned. Susan stood on the boat staring at Alakazam with ball size eyes. It was a very natural reaction to the current situation.

Vidal instructed Starmie to check on the sea floor for any signs of Mother Lugia, but everything was in vain.

Susan kept asking questions about Alakazam, "Alright. I will tell you, but keep it to yourself. You can't tell anyone else."

Vidal began his tale after Susan's promise. "I travel a lot. I am also interested in visiting ancient sites and historical places. One time I was in an ancient tomb searching for some old records. And I found one record left behind by a legendary Pokemon trainer. I just followed its instructions."

Susan nodded, "What was written?" she was on the edge of her seat.

"Then be ready. It said 'Train your Pokemon properly.'" Vidal said seriously.

"What?"

Vidal called Dragonite out and left stupefied Susan on the boat, "Inform Professor Oak on my behalf too. Thank you in advance." Vidal disappeared in the sky like a gust of wind.

Susan screamed towards the sky for some time. Not any foul words though, I promise. Its kid's friendly show.

Vidal landed at the entrance to Mount Mortar. Vidal briefly ran around and didn't find any native Pokemon from Johto, which he hadn't caught.

He was standing in front of Mahogany town before he realized it. "Well, I can get another badge from here. I will head straight to Blackthorn city afterward."

Mahogany Town gym leader Pryce used Ice type Pokemons. His choice was Dewgong. Vidal chooses Arcanine and wins the Glacier badge.

Vidal caught Buizel, Whismur, Linoone, and others en route to Blackthorn city.

Vidal took a rest at a Pokemon center on the way. Vidal called Professor Elm to make a request.

"Yes, the three starters from Johto. And please send Sudowoodo, Elekid, Wobbuffet, Heracross, Maril, and Miltank to Professor Oak. I have already informed him." Vidal started to collect Pokemon for the Pokemon Sanctuary.

Vidal wanted to start with a few Pokemon first, and then expand from there. At first the location was just the canyon on the island that was between Cinnabar Island and Pallet town. If things work out he has an entire island for expansion.

"What are you planning to do with them?" Professor Elm asked.

"Well, I am planning to train them as well. In a few days, I will return home. It will take a while for the Pokemon to adjust to Kanto, and Professor Oak seems to be interested in them as well," Vidal said.

Vidal ended the call with Elm.

Vidal wanted to catch Misdreavus for the sanctuary as well before returning and adding another Pokemon to his own party. And these two Pokemons are found in Mount Silver preserve, which creates some difficulty getting them.
