Vermilion City.

Altro and Celeste were continuing their journey to Vermilion City. Beedrill and Pidgey also accepted Altro as their master, and they were also fine with their arrangements. Rather than struggling to live in this forest, they preferred to have a trainer.

After they covered quite some distance inside the forest. They arrived at a clearing near a cave. Altro wanted to make sure whether there were any other Pokemon in the cave before they make a camp. Fortunately, there weren't any.

"Let's have lunch here," Altro suggested.

Although Celeste thought it was a little early, she also felt this location was quite good to take an early break.

They released all their Pokemon. Altro started preparing for lunch as he gave instructions to his new Pokemon.

"Pidgey, I want you to continue using Quick Attack while flying in between those trees."

*Pid~ey* (Okay.)

"Beedrill, I want you to learn to use Focus Energy even while moving."

*Bree~*

Altro let Haunter look after their training. Gyarados was just chilling beside the cave and his silvery scales were shining as he bathed in the sunlight.

"Pikachu," When Altro called out to him, Pikachu was fired up.

*Pika~pi*

"Have a practice match with Mew." Altro wasn't worried about Celeste hearing him. Because he had already mentioned to her that he named Ralts as, Mew.

She didn't think much about him naming Ralts after a legendary Pokemon. After all, both are legendary in terms of cuteness.

*Mii~Mii~* (Let's go, Big Brother Pikachu.)

*Pika~Pi* (Show me what you got, sis.)

Altro was now busy preparing lunch. While keeping an eye out for his Pokemon. Celeste was currently training her Pokemon.

"Bellsprout, try Razor Leaf now."

But among her, Pokemon. Her Pidgeotto wasn't very focused today as his eyes kept darting in a certain direction.

There Altro's Pidgey could be seen practicing her moves as instructed by her master.

Celeste didn't seem to notice this, but all her Pokemon did. Eevee was unsure what to say at this moment.

After their short practice, they had a good meal before they set off again.

"Wow, it's the sea," Celeste exclaimed loudly.

*Mii~Mi* (Papa, so much water.)

Mew was very excited to see the sea for the first time.

"Do you guys want to play around for a bit?" Altro asked with a smile.

Everyone was immediately overjoyed as they shouted in unison, "Yes!"

Gyarados went into the sea to find some opponents.

Pikachu was very hyped up because it was his turn to fight in the upcoming gym. He started shooting Electro Balls at the sea, trying to increase his range.

'All my Pokemon are turning into training maniacs.' Thinking of this, Altro felt proud.

Suddenly, he felt a slight change in the environment.

"Everyone, something is coming." Hearing his shout, everyone was alarmed.

In the next moment, an injured Pokemon appeared using teleport.

'A Slowpoke?'

Altro's eyes shone as he remembered the taste of Slowpoke's tail they had in Cerulean city.

But Celeste was more concerned about the Slowpoke's injury.

She immediately took out a healing potion to help the Slowpoke.

"Altro, help me." Hearing Celeste call out to him. He also went forward and helped her take care of Slowpoke.

That night, they set up camp near the sea and took care of the Slowpoke. By the next morning, Slowpoke was fine and healthy.

Altro's Pokemon spoke with Slowpoke and found out that Cloyster had attacked him for tempting its young with his tail. So he can evolve into Slowbro.

Altro shook his head, thinking that the Slowbro deserved it.

Celeste walked up to Slowpoke and said, "Slowpoke, I want you to be my Pokemon."

Slowpoke didn't seem like he wanted to fight, as he just recovered. So he agreed without a fight. After all, Celeste has taken care of him and he liked her a lot.

"Yay, I got a Slowpoke," Celeste shouted excitedly.

Altro thought Celeste's team was coming along very well.

Both of them were nearing Vermillion City. Where Altro is going to have his third gym battle. As they have taken a shortcut, Altro was certain that he was ahead of Ash and his group.

"Finally, the Vermillion city. Let's go to the Pokemon Center first." Celeste nodded and followed after Altro.

As they arrived at the Pokemon Center, Altro saw there were many people in the nursing area giving first aid.

"What's going on here?"

A nearby trainer answered Altro's doubt. "It seems you are new in this city."

"Yes, we just arrived."

Sitting in the waiting area, waiting for their turn, they started chatting with that trainer.

The trainer sighed and said, "Those are all emergency cases. Because they all challenged the Vermillion Gym."

Altro remembered there was something like that in the story. But isn't this too cruel?

"Are you here to challenge the Vermillion gym?" The Trainer asked.

"Yes."

"Then take care, brother. The gym leader is merciless. He will beat up your Pokemon even after the Pokemon is defeated. If you don't have enough confidence to defeat him, then better not go there." The Trainer advised with a slight worry.

"Thank you." Altro was grateful to this trainer for his advice. "I'm Altro, What's your name?"

"I'm Raiju Nissan. Nice to meet you, Altro." Raiju smiled.

Seeing his name was called, Raiju walked up to the counter and took his Pokemon back. He clicked on his Pokeball and a Pichu came out climbing his shoulders.

When Raiju returned, Altro asked curiously, "Did you also challenge the gym?"

Shaking his head, Raiju replied, "Not yet."

"I'm currently practicing for the Viridian City Youth Cup."

Hearing this, Altro's interest was piqued. "When is it? Can you tell me more about it?"

"Sure," Raiju replied and started explaining, "It will be held next week. You can register for it from your Pokedex. The registration fee is small. But the trainers need to be under 19. The association is organizing it and the prizes are also quite good."
