A way out
Asher's eyes snapped open when he heard someone calling out to him. Knowing he would sleep peacefully without Alexa around, he had drifted off to sleep just minutes after she left for her so-called 'drive'.
Lifting his head, he realized Zica and the troublesome little devil were back. Zica was standing close to him, and from the look on her face, he could tell that she was the one who had called him.
The little devil, however, was seated beside her uncle, her head was thrown back and her eyes were closed. Was she sleeping? No way... With the amount of hate she carried inside of her, he couldn't believe she would let her guard down just like that. She was probably relaxing after causing trouble the whole day.
