Potential and time

Cat Viper put up his arms and covered them in Haki to block the blast of the Electro Ball. "Hey.. this thing is dangerous-nya~!"

The explosion of electro was dispersed by his strong Haki that protected him but it did succeed in occupying him for a short moment and knocked him back a little.

Pixel quickly appeared behind him after disappearing and reappearing from where she previously stood, her body rotated in a circular motion as it she had incorporated the Meridian Families martial arts techniques.

As she turned, her tail soon followed and struck towards the back of Cat Viper. "This move should be called Iron Tail.. but there is so much layered on it that it is no longer just that. How to name it?"

Her long tail had been hardened like iron, the Electro surrounded it and so did a layer of Armament Haki as it came around and made contact with the back of Cat Viper.

Cat Viper revealed a look of shock but then smiled happily as his movements became faster and more agile, he used minimal movements possible to jump into the air and performed a backflip.

Just as he felt triumphant about his escape and how he was about to catch Pixel off guard, he was about to land behind her within range to attack but before he could strike, the tail continued along the circular path along with the rotation as it did not stop.

Instead of a half circle motion, Pixel continued to use her momentum and power to continue to spin and build up more power so when Cat Viper tried to go in for an attack, her tail was even deadlier than it was previously.

Any hopes of attacking her were put to rest as Cat Viper backed off instead of attacking to escape the range of Pixel's deadly attack. "That scared me-nya~."

Pixel feared leaving her guard down if she continued her rotation so after she was facing Cat Viper again, she charged forward and kept trying to attack him from his side with similar movements as her Meridian family martial arts but with her claws to attack with. "I will not give up!"

Cat Viper used his own claws that were coated in Electro and Haki to clash against the attacks every time they came at him and he used his acrobatics to use her power to his benefit.

Just as Pixel landed a strong hit and clashed against Cat Viper, he was knocked back from his position in the air and was sent towards a tree.

He jumped from the tree as extra leverage and then came back with even more power.

Just as they were both about to come into contact with each other again, Cat Viper moved strangely in the air and changed the direction of his movement in the last moment which allowed him to appear above Pixel.

His elbow struck towards her back which knocked her out. "This kid has improved so much in such a short time. She already knows how to use her techniques tactically and is far above any kids her own age.. in fact she is far above many adults too. If we keep fighting like this then even my Haki advantage may be overcome. All that will be left is the gap in physical ability and with her talents.. that may not take that long either-nya~."

He looked down at the unconscious Pixel and smiled widely. "I wonder how the other students are doing. Even if they have some potential, they cannot possibly match up to my prized student. Dogstorm must be so jealous of me-nya~."

He recalled the times not all that long ago when Pixel first appeared in the Night Guards and he had seen how quickly she grew under his and the others tutelage.

Sometimes it was difficult to find anything to teach Pixel because she had often been able to grasp fighting techniques with ease.

Even some of the techniques that she used were very out of the ordinary and unlike what the Minks were used to.

Even Cat Viper who had been living on Wano and had journeyed around with pirates along with Kozuki Oden was often left surprised by the many tricks she could pull out.

Cat Viper continued to ponder and he came to a conclusion. "If there was anything that she was lacking.. then it would be time-nya~."

Any genius could appear and cause a stir within the world but each of them still needed enough time to grow and reach their full potential.

Any accident could happen on Zou or out somewhere in the world that could put Pixel in a difficult situation.

If anyone with power were to find out about her potential then they would try their best to either put Pixel under their direct control or they would choose to eliminate her.

Many sinister characters exist in the world that were not above using sinister and cruel methods to trap and kill someone.

Although Cat Viper had some confidence in Pixel, she was still young and had others to protect and support so it made her weak to such sinister plots but at the same time, it was also a strength.

The youths have the potential to outgrow the old even if the old have a wealth of knowledge and experience, if such sinister plots were used then Pixel would most likely show her true potential then.

Many weaknesses were also a persons reverse scale that should not be touched unless they did not wish to deal with the repercussions of their actions.

Cat Viper pondered and then sighed. "I do not think that those around her will be that much of a weakness to her so long as they do not let their guards down. I hear that some of them are quite talented in their own way. Even the kid that has been studying under Baan has been showing excellent potential in many areas. She would make a great helper to Pixel but only time will tell if she is suited to the role as the Dukes heir-nya~."
