Fuyu went out of the cab and rushed inside the company building after paying the fare. Her hair is a little disheveled and damp; wearing a black lace undershirt with white coat and slacks; a pair of black high heels; and a black leather women's bag.

The moment the elevator went open, she rushed to her work table and placed her bag before knocking on the door. She was still catching her breath when it got open. She is late.

"Let's talk." The CEO of the company she is working with said when he saw her. She started to feel nervous, thinking it will be her last day at work already because he will fire her.

"Hai, Kaichou." She mumbled before walking inside his office. She closed the door and waited for him to speak.

He leaned his body on the table and crossed his arms while staring at her. The silence was deafening until he placed a small paper bag with pink ribbon on the coffee table.

"Take that and go back to your work." He gestured his head and she immediately bowed her head before taking the paper bag.

"Arigatou, Kaichou. I'm sorry if I'm late. It will not happen anymore." She almost choked with her words while trying to stop her tears from spilling.

She can't help but to feel so scared because of his domineering presence towards her. Who will not get scared of him? He is known to be sadistic but at the same time, he has a great talent for being the CEO of the company. He can clearly identify the key points of every tactic they should conceive and utilize for the projects he carefully chose for the betterment of the company.

Being his assistant is a pressure. If the CEO is reliable enough, you should know your place as his assistant. You should be tough enough to handle all the things he can do towards others. Within three years of working as his assistant, it is her first time to get late and she doesn't want to be a disappointment to him.

"Bring me my coffee ten minutes later." She bowed her head again before leaving his office. She stared at the paper bag for a while.

When she got back to her work table, she opened it and saw some cosmetics. It is her favorite brands and shades. She took her compact mirror and saw how disheveled her hair and pale skin are. No wonder he gave her cosmetics.

She quickly applied light make up on her face and fixed her hair. She can't help but to smile. How did he know her favorites? Ah, right. She's been working for him for three years already. It is given he knows about it.

Her brows raised when she saw that the shade of the lipstick is different from what she is using. When she applied it, she couldn't help but to blush at the thought that he knows that she will look better with that shade. This lightened her mood up.

She immediately prepared his coffee and knocked on the door before opening it. She served it on his table together with the latest business newspapers.

"What's my schedule for today?" He asked. She hugged the small tray before speaking. She watched him drink the coffee she prepared.

"You will have a meeting with one of the shareholders later after lunch, Kaichou. And then, another meeting with Aoyama-san at four." He nodded before looking at her.

"Two meetings. Exhausting enough. Book a reservation later at your favorite Italian restaurant. Let's have lunch there. Also, you look better now. Use that shade from now on." She almost gasped as she felt he was spoiling her. Why? It is unusual.

"Hai, Kaichou. Arigatou gozaimasu." She smiled softly, bowing her head. She gripped on the tray tightly while walking out of his office.

"And also, Fuyu. You look much better for me now." She stopped from her tracks and felt like he just dropped a bomb on her.
