Chapter 4

"Hey come in han—taehyung, why are you just standing there."

He looked at me, mischief twinkling in his eyes as he wiggled his eyebrows at me.

"Nothing it's just been a long time since I have entered the house of a girl I like."

"...I need to prepare my heart."

I rolled my eyes at his silliness that hasn't changed a bit. "Oh for God's sake, just get in here will you, your causing a scene. My neighbors have a good opinion of me and I don't want to ruin it."

He raise his eyebrows and smirked at me, which irked me.

"Oh byeol I see you're quite social in this lifetime."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"Well you know you were known as the ice princess in Silla." He looked at me with his box smile and I could see the nostalgia gloss over him.

"Really?" The Silla people were really horrible at naming. I mean they called the knights of the kingdom, flower boys. Like what enemy will be intimidated by that? Are they gonna charm the enemy to death?

"Mhm, it's because you never smiled at anyone other than me."

"Well, I was a timid child back then okay." I blushed because the nickname was embarrassing. I know he knew my true self just as well. I wonder if he was the one who came up with it. he was known as the prankster king back then. his innocent face fool many, including me in the beginning.

"Well, clearly a lifetime apart changed you, changed us."

"...it certainly did, taehyung. You have no idea how much your unexpected demise affected me, how it affected everyone. We never got over you. I still see your dead body everytime I close my eyes."

A sudden melancholy atmosphere fell over us as we reminisced our previous lifetime which was beautiful and painful. It hurt me watching him sacrifice himself but I knew how much it pained him to see his brother betray his friend, his role model. I knew he would be happy wherever he was and that I would never be able to stop him from making that decision even if i went back to that time.

"....but I do not regret my loss byeol, I died for my brothers, for my principles. Nonetheless, that's all in history, let's live this life happily."

"Ok, sun prince."

I smiled at him not letting the happy atmosphere make me lose my chance to get back at his teasing.

"Sun prince?"

"Yeah it was your nickname in Silla, the girls who swooned over you named you that, Their sun." I mean it's not like he can go back to Silla to confirm it.

"Hmm, the burning sun and the icy star, suit us quite well right?"

"How can twilight and dawn be fated to be together?"

"Because they cannot survive without the other."

"Taehyung"

"Hmm?"

"I see your lines have improved." Those hwarang guys really were receiving flower boy training weren't they, knight training my ass. They turned my innocent hubby into a flirt.

"Why thank you, m'lady. I was rehearsing all my life since my rebirth in preparation for this moment."

"Well, I'm glad it was only for me, you sure you didn't practice on any other girl while waiting for me?"

"Well..."

"Tae!"

"I'm joking, sweetie chill."

"Never tell a girl to chill."

"Ow, did you just slap me up side the head?!" His surprise made me chuckle as his wide eyes gaped at me.

"Man the 21st century knocked all the virtue right out of you huh?"

"What's that your muttering flower boy?"

"Nothing honey" he scratched the back of his head letting out a nervous chuckle. I smiled at his actions and cuddle with him on the small sofa of my cozy apartment. We watched 'The Notebook' together on Netflix and fell asleep deeply in eachother arms for the first time in years.
