"Why did Gabriel descend? What is God planning?" Asmodeus looked up, starting at the Archangel with uncertainty. No Angel moves without permission from God, much less an Archangel.
It must be something important for an Archangel to descend but he didn't know what it was.
He had kept an eye on Heaven, especially on the Archangels for eons. They were figures on the same level as him, so it's important to watch their movements.
He wasn't worried about God as he only entered Earth once, before swiftly being sent back to Heaven by the mortals.
Observing Earth, Asmodeus saw that the mortals were sinning but it was nothing compared to the olden days — Back then, mortals did not have laws and rules, thus committing atrocities.
Though the mortals still sin, mortality and order was on the rise. More humans exist now than in the past, but they are doing relatively better, even without the guidance of God.
Looking over the layers of Hell, he saw none of the Demon Kings seem to notice Gabriel's descent. Meaning they don't know what Gabriel's purpose is.
Pacing back and forth, Asmodeus was trying to figure out what God was thinking. History was a good place to start.
After the flood, God promised not to interact with mortals and chose to observe. He even forbade the angels from descending. However, God broke his promise, but why?
The last time an Archangel descended was when Micheal gave visions to Joan of Arc.
She was quite strong willed, even after tempting her with pleasure, she refused and held fast in her faith.
Such a soul would have been perfect to turn into a strong demon, what a pity.
Going off that logic, unless someone caught God's eye, Gabriel would not leave.
Controlling the mirror, Asmodeus saw Gabriel influencing a few humans by appearing before them.
It seems God was concerned and wanted to strengthen the faith of the mortals.
"There is only one reason God would do that. He plans to reset the world. However, for what reason? There is plenty of time before the Antichrist grows up."
There was an agreement between Lucifer and God. Lucifer's son will tempt the mortals, to see who is truly righteous and of strong faith.
Those who fail the test will endure eternal punishment and those who pass will enter Heaven after death.
The Antichrist while in Hell will stay a baby but grow mentally. However, once he enters Earth, he will age the same as a human.
Unfortunately, of all the demons, only the Antichrist can enter Earth without being summoned. This was a clear nod at his human side.
Holding a black book in his hand, Asmodeus began writing the names of demons and how to summon them.
It was easy to create the book but hard for it to enter Earth.
Walking through the palace, after a series of twists and turns, he entered a chamber with servants taking care of an infant.
As if sensing the pressure he was excluding, the servant didn't even look at the door and drop to their knees, shaking in fear.
To any demon, he was the Lord of Demons, the absolute monarch. He gave them the courage to stand firmly against God.
Without him, they would have caved eons again and become the playground of Heaven.
Not even looking at the demons, Asmodeus approached the crib and loomed over the innocent baby.
The baby looks like it was sculpted from the finest limestone, and given life. The baby gave off the aura of innocence and divinity, but the upside down cross in its eyes said otherwise.
Before Lucifer fell from grace, he was thinking of ways to replace God. Maybe expecting to fall, he strikes a deal with God.
The deal is centered on a child born from the first Mother of Humanity, Lilith and Lucifer.
The Antichrist's purpose is to lead people away from God by convincing them he is the Son of God. However, Lucifer's plan was bound to fail from the start.
Maybe in Heaven he was one of the strongest angels, but once he entered Hell, he was the weakest Demon King.
In fact, Asmodeus didn't want to make Lucifer a Demon King but at the time he didn't have anyone to fill that role, so he gave it to him.
Lucifer was good, really good at his job. The only flaw was that not many people commit the sin of pride when compared to the others, which makes his layer sparsely populated.
Interestingly, Lucifer was the most well known Demon King, mainly because of the Bible. In it, they call him the Devil, the figurehead of Hell.
Despite the importance of the Antichrist, unless the Demon Kings were fools, they won't let him enter Earth because that only benefits Lucifer.
They wanted to kill the Antichrist but since that was not their place, they had to wait.
Asmodeus didn't care what the Demon Kings thought and took the Antichrist. Not because he was scared, but because he wanted to utilize the Antichrist to its utmost.
In certain aspects, the Antichrist's importance is more than the Demon Kings, as through him, Hell can grow stronger. It would be retarded to snuff out his life.
Speaking of strengthening Hell, Asmodeus has been pondering why his field of observation when observing Earth was limited.
He has seen some mortals entering this range of observation from seemingly nothing and as he observes them, he heard them talking about lands outside the world he knew. (AN: Angels and Demons have the All Speech ability.)
He even heard them talking about other gods, which he assumes to be the demon kings but turns out that outside his vision, gods exist.
Smiling at the baby, Asmodeus placed a clawed hand on its head, caressing it, "Oh, my sweet boy, you have the fate of Hell resting on your shoulders. Don't disappoint me, because you will pay." His aura towered and pressed on the baby, making it start to cry.
"Don't pretend before me. You are not cute." Shaking his head, he placed the book into the Antichrist's hand, before teleporting him to the doorstep of a church.
