As they're walking in the hallways of the hospital towards the parking lot
Xavier grabs her bag and holds it for her
"What are you doing" she asks with a smile
" I wanted to hold your bag to see how heavy it was" he replied seriously
Oh really? She asked
Xavier chuckled and then said
"No I just wanted to hold it for you"
"But if you hold that bag in your and my hand at the same time won't both your hands be full"she asked
"My hands could never truly be full if it was you, if you had more stuff I'd be more glad to hold it for you" he says
Hearing that she gave him a sweet kiss on the cheek as she gave him a light squeeze on his hand
"You really never fail to find opportunities to flirt don't you?" She said
"It's not that I find them, but rather when I'm with you I can't help but be honest" he replied back
Sweetly exasperated Rhen shook her head helplessly
they had reached the parking lot, it was a bit dark
There weren't enough lights lit, and the parking lot was especially cold,
The walls and floor were newly cemented and painted.
There was still a faint smell of fresh paint in the air
Xavier followed Rhen as she walked towards a car that was covered with a turpauline sheet,
she let go if his hand as she moved to remove the cover
Seeing her do that Xavier immediately went to help her
She held the right two sides and Xavier held the left two sides and as they both moved to lift the cover,
a huge amount of dust flew in the air,
Rhenea's and Xavier's hands were covered with dust by the time they tossed the sheet and folded it,
under the sheet stood Rhenea's car
A dark grey maserati,
it was sleek yet slender,
an absolutely beautiful masterpiece that was sitting eating dust for the past six months.
Xavier came to her side as she turned to face him
"Are you okay" he asked
Upon hearing him Rhen showed him her hands
When he saw that Xavier showed his hands to her in return
They both stared at each other for a moment before they both laughed
"At least I know I won't be making your hands dusty if I touch them now" he said as he held her hand
Rhens lips curved upon hearing that
Her emerald eyes were glistening in the dark
"Xavier where's your car" she asked
"It's here in the parking lot, I'll ask the hospital to drop it off at your place later " he replied as he pointed to a black BMW
"Is that really okay? That wouldn't be too much trouble would it?" She asked
"No it wouldn't "he said as he shook his head
"In this way you can then drive me to work" he continued saying with an affectionate smile
Hearing him say that Rhen couldn't help but smile
"So this was what you were really after" she said
"I knew it! You just wanted me to be your free driver didnt you "she continued saying teasingly
"Howd you find out" Xavier replied laughing as he played along
his hand booped her nose,
A little dust mark had formed on the top of her nose because of that
Rhenea who didn't know this leaned in closer slowly as her fingers held the edges of his coat
" It's a secret, but I'll tell you since your special" she said
"Oh yeah?" He said
"Yeah" she said in between giggles
She slowly went closer until her lips nearly touched his left ear
Xavier could feel her hot breath, and her lips come closer
His heart started beating faster and faster the longer she stayed quiet.
The root of his ears had turned red as her hot breathe left her lips
"You pretty much gave it away" she said in his ear as she pulled back, her fingers had left his coat too
Upon hearing her say that, so close to his ear
Xavier was a bit dazed, and when he was back to normal
he couldn't help but shake his head helplessly, the smile on his face increased as his hands, this time went towards Rhenea's waist
he pulled her closer, and he leaned towards her ear
It sent shivers down her spine as she felt the hot air cave into her ear from his breath
" I Love you" he said affectionately into her ear
It took a bit of time for her to process what he said before she could react
Rhen immediately turned to see him face to face
Her emerald eyes looked into his warm blue eyes as she looked at him in disbelief
" You.. what "she asked
" I love you Rhenea.... each and everyday that I spend with you makes me love you even more than I did the day before" he said to her as his words felt like they were dripping with honey
Rhenea's eyes widened for a moment as she paused for a second to take his words in, and when she recovered her face bloomed with the brightest smile he had ever seen her make
" I love you more though Xavier" she said as tears started forming in her eyes
Seeing tears we'll up at the corner of her eyes, Xavier started to panic
He didn't know why or how this happened, if he knew that him telling her that he loves her would make her tear up right now, if he did he wouldn't have told her right now,
it was just that his heart had felt overwhelmed with love for her, the words had spilled out of his mouth before he even knew it.
"What happened, why are you crying" he asked as his hands cupped her face
" Iv never loved anyone before, so to me this feels a bit like a dream, am I allowed to be this happy?" she said as her watery loveable eyes looked confused
Seeing more tears spill out, Xavier leaned forward to kiss the corner of her eyes gently
"Yes" he said with certainty
Rhenea could feel his warm lips brush against her eyes as he kissed her tears away, his lips slowly but surely kissed her everywhere on the face
It made her laugh, as she felt him continue.
She smiled as she felt him kiss her gently on the lips.
The scorching temperature of his lips brought some more clarity to her
when his lips left hers and when they were only a few inches apart
" They were happy tears " she said as she stared into his eyes
"I know now, but you almost had me worried" Xavier replied
they talked only a few centimetres away from each other, but their hot breaths were intertwined
They eventually opened the car door and finally started driving out of the parking lot
Rhenea was in the driver's seat and Xavier was sitting beside her
She could feel a corner of her jacket being pulled as it brushed against her,
she lips curved slightly as she felt it
One of Xavier's hands were busy holding on to the corner of her jacket as she drove the car.
Her silly lover, he was indeed.
