Meanwhile…
Chop! Chop! Chop!
A massive black helicopter flew through the thick, smoky air, its rotor blades spinning at high speed. Each rotation of the blades sent out strong gusts of wind, pushing back the thick cloud of smoke.
Below, a large sea of flames roared, the fiery waves bubbling furiously as they devoured everything in their path.
The earth beneath them had been flattened to a molten wasteland, with few pieces of rubble floating above the fire.
Thick smoke and embers kept rising towards the helicopter, however, they were quickly fanned away by the blades, unable to even near it.
The helicopter hovered steady above the inferno, its sleek black exterior reflecting the orange flames below.
On the side of the aircraft was a bold emblem, which consisted of a giant eagle, and two fiery short swords crossed behind it.
That was the proud logo of the Order force, a testament to their presence and high authority within the society.
However, what stood out the most on it was the large black muzzle protruding from the front of the helicopter.
Dark smoke slowly oozed out of it, mixing with the thick, pungent smoke rising from the ruins below.
Trailing behind it, was a fleet of smaller helicopters, each one bearing the proud logo of the order force at their sides.
"Yes!! We got them!" A loud voice echoed from one of the aircrafts, the speaker's eyes gleaming with excitement as they observed the destruction below.
The giant underground facility had just been obliterated by a devastating nuke, leaving nothing but flames and rubbles on its surface.
Over half of the city had been decimated in the massive blast, hundreds of lives snuffed out in an instant, like they were nothing.
Though the city was a rather remote one, it had still been home to many people, all who were now reduced to ashes.
All that was left of the city now was a giant sea of flames, which hungrily devoured everything in its path.
They didn't really understand why an order was suddenly passed to nuke out one of Port'hov's laboratories.
However, the command was clear: there was a dangerous beast on the loose, and it had to be eliminated no matter the cost.
While the information was sketchy, it wasn't in their place to ask any questions.
Port'hov was a high-ranking noble in the kingdom, second only to the queen, so his orders were to be carried out immediately, no matter how stupid they may seem.
Most people didn't know, however, Port'hov had many underground laboratories all over the kingdom.
There were times when one of his experiments would go wrong, and they would be tasked with taking care of the aftermath.
Most times, the 'taking care of' involved the taking of innocent lives to cover up the kingdom's secrets, or the capturing of unsuspecting people to be experimented on.
That was their job, so they couldn't complain, not like most of them wanted to anyway.
However, not once had there been such an order like this, so it was a bit shocking to most of them.
While many lives had been lost due to their actions, among which mostly included women and children, they were only considered as collateral damage.
This city was only filled with poor, and low-level psychics, so their lives matter much to them.
As long as they carried out the order, nothing else mattered to them.
"The order has been carried out, we can leave now." The man riding the large helicopter announced through the microphone, releasing a relaxed sigh.
'Finally… I can go ho—'
"Really?" A voice suddenly sounded behind him, sending a jolt of shock through his body.
Swish!
"Wh—" His words died in his throat as his world spun violently, flipping upside down in an instant.
In the blink of an eye, he found himself staring at his own headless body, slumped lifelessly in the chair, with a geyser of blood spurting from the severed neck.
Splash!
The blood gushed uncontrollably, splattering across the floor with a loud splash.
Thud!
The sliced-off head fell to the ground with a dull thud, spraying more blood all around the ground.
'What…' The last thing that appeared in his sight was a pair of glowing yellow eyes, before the cold arms of death finally embraced him.
His expression froze, and his head laid still on the ground, surrounded in a spreading pool of his own blood.
Fortunately for the passengers, the helicopter had an "auto pilot" feature, which kept it steady in the air even if anything happened to the pilot.
Due to this, the passengers at the other side of the aircraft didn't immediately notice anything off, only sitting calmly in their seats.
"Dropping a nuke on me… how disrespectful." Lee'on said, his face twisting into an annoyed frown as he stared at the flames roaring below.
"C-captain!!" The man sitting beside the decapitated officer screamed out, his eyes wide with shock as he stared at the scene before him.
"W-what…?" He muttered, his lips trembling in horror as he stared at the headless body of his colleague.
His gaze slowly trailed, drifting to the lifeless head lying on the ground, as well as the pool of crimson fluid, and his face froze in terror.
"W-who… are you…?" He mumbled, his body shuddering as he locked eyes with Lee'on.
But the latter didn't reply, only flashing a cold glance at him.
This only infuriated the officer, and his hand quickly shifted to the gun at his side, readying himself for whatever was to come.
Without needing anyone to tell him, he could easily that this person was extremely dangerous! The head of his captain lying not too far from him was enough proof of that.
"A-answer me!" He shouted, swiftly pulling out his gun as he lunged at Lee'on.
However, as he was about to pull the trigger, Lee'on's gaze snapped at him, his bright yellow eyes drilling intently into his soul.
The officer's body suddenly froze, his legs remaining rooted to the spot no matter what he tried to do.
'W-what's this.. I c-can't… move.' He mumbled inwardly, trembling in fear as he stared into Lee'on's eyes.
Lee'on's head nodded slightly as he observed the shuddering figure of the man, his lips curling into a slight smirk.
'Just as I thought, it worked!' He thought, chuckling to himself.
His gaze drifted back to the man, and the smirk on his face grew even wider, transforming into a sinister grin.
"Kill yourself." He suddenly said, lightly tapping the man's shoulder.
