Chapter 18 Yonko

"The future of the kingdom is in our hands Tony, let's make it worth while, Before this I used to be from the modern world, working a brutal job that drained me of all energy at the end of day.

Funny enough that's what got me killed." Augustus said with a slight chuckle.

"But now, I am here, In the beginning, I just went with the flow, didn't really have much of a grip of what was happening, you know this is my first time being king and all, Soon however, I felt like leaving all this behind"

"I was an ordinary man after all, so many citizens fully relied on me as their sole hope, on the hope that I will bring them away from their starvation", Augustus said as he stood up.

"And I did, thanks to people like you," 

"I was still conflicted, I didn't want to deal with all this but"

"In the end, I decided to stick around and see this kingdom thing through, so now let me ask you, Tony, do you wanna stick around and see it grow?" Augustus asked as he stepped down the stairs that led up to his throne and stood in front of him face to face.

Tony was silent for a few seconds before he spoke. "You Know, it's a good speech, 7 out of 10, and that's high praise coming from me", Tony said.

"It's not like I have much of a choice anyways, so yeah, I'll stick around", Tony said as he bowed his head to Augustus.

"Very well then, we have lots of work ahead of us,", Augustus said to Tony with a smile and headed towards the castle room's door.

As the doors opened in front of Augustus, he turned back. To look at Tony who was still standing where he was previously unmoved.

"What are you waiting for? Let's go", Augustus said as he walked through the door, and Tony followed behind.

Soon, the two arrived at a field where Godfrey was practising his Armament haki.

"Godfrey meet Tony Stark!" Augsutus shouted towards Godfrey Introducing Tony to him.

"holy shit, is that The Godfrey?" Tony, who was behind Augustus, suddenly asked.

"Do you know him?" Augustus couldn't help but ask Tony.

"Yeah I know him, that kid Peter could not stop talking about how cool Godfrey was when the game came out", Tony said with nostalgic smile.

"Wait does that mean I was also a game character to you?" Tony suddenly asked with a hint of crisis in his tone causing Augsutus to burst into laughter.

"You weren't in a game, don't worry about it," Augustus said, trying to hold back his laughter as he patted Tony on the back; an ugly expression was plastered onto Tony's face.

Tony didn't know why Augustus was laughing, but at least he knew he wasn't some game character, which brought major relief. 

"Your Majesty, do you have a task for me?" Godfrey said as he knelt to Augustus, completely ignoring Tony simply because Godfrey didn't know what a game character even was.

Augustus stopped himself from laughing and stepped ahead of Tony and closer to Godfrey.

"Yes, I do have a task for you, We are going to recruit a Yonko, are you ready?" Augustus asked with a smile and confidence laced in his tone.

"Yes, your majesty", Godfrey replied with a sudden grim look.

He understood better than anyone how terrifying Haki could be, he had just entered the basic level, yet that alone managed to enhance his strength; he could not imagine how powerful the haki possessed by the top level of this world would be.

"What's with the grim face," Augustus said as he stepped forward and helped Godfrey up from his kneeling position.

"We are not going to war" Augustus said as he walked through a portal he opened up.

The arcane portal shimmered with a mystic energy the golden sparks sparking with a slight buzz.

Tony noticed the familiar portal rather quickly and associated it with Doctor Strange's portal.

He wanted to ask Augustus a few questions but held back for now, so he didn't say much and walked through it with the careful Godfrey following behind, arriving on Shanks' island.

The island was lush and vibrant, with the Red-Haired Pirates ship docked nearby.

Loud cheering and singing filled the air as the smell of booze and the smell of salty water melted together to form an interesting aroma.

As Augustus, Stark, and Godfrey arrived, the sounds of the party were silenced, and many eyes stared at the three who had just exited from the portal.

Shanks sat on a wooden crate, surrounded by his crew, a mug of ale in hand. His eyes twinkled with amusement and curiosity as he observed Augustus, Tony, and Godfrey who were approaching them.

Seeing Shanks and his crew a slight distance away, Augustus approached closer to the group, followed by Tony and Godfrey, until he had arrived close enough to talk.

"Welcome, Augustus. I've heard of your recent endeavours," Shanks greeted, raising the mug of ale slightly, his voice friendly but guarded.

Augsutus cleared his throat a little as he began to prepare to make his pitch.

"Shanks, your reputation precedes you. My kingdom, Glofield, is at a pivotal moment in its development.

We seek your guidance in mastering Haki to ensure our survival and prosperity." Augsutus stated his purpose for coming here.

Shanks raised an eyebrow, intrigued but cautious.

"What makes you think we would help you?" Shanks asked, his tone probing.

Augustus gestured to Tony, who stepped forward not knowing what Augustus even wanted to do.

"This Man's name is Tony Stark, the best our Kingdom has to offer, and he has the expertise and abilities to create a live map of the Grand Line, something that will make way pointers redundant, this will provide you with exact data of the weather and location of all the islands within the first half of Grand line," Augustus said.

"Ah, but that's not all, I propose an alliance, overall, we offer more than just a plea for help.

Tony Stark's technological prowess can provide strategic advantages for your crew that nobody else has in this world, and Godfrey here, a legendary warrior, stands to add immense strength to our alliance if ever you require support in battle." Augustus concluded.

Augustus wanted to bring in a person who stood at the top when it came to using the three types of haki, especially Conqueror's haki.

As for the Alliance, it was more of a secondary thing.

Augustus had realized that Godfrey had fallen into a bit of a complex and had begun loosing confidence in his own strength when he realized just how important the role of haki played in a person's powers and how much Haki could improve a person's power.

In the eyes of Godfrey, The distance in power between him and the four Emperors was divided by a huge gap due to their advanced level of haki.

In the eyes of Augustus, Shanks, Whitebeard, Kaido and Big Mom became Emperor level powerhouses because Haki is a major part of their strength.

Godfrey was an Emperor level powerhouse even without any haki so Augustus wanted Godfrey to experience the real power of a Emperor to make him snap out of that little complex he had fallen into by letting Shanks fight Godfrey to test out Godfreys power.

This was also a way to show Shanks the real power of Glofield Kingdom and take the claim over Tony's abilities and the alliance more seriously.
