Rescued

One day Neo was sitting atop the hill, it was dawn and the scene was breathtaking every day. He usually sat there to look out for any passing ship. He also enjoyed the sunrise, with nothing to pass time when he started to observe the scenic view of this world. He also wonders sometimes how other transmigrators felt when they arrive in their fantasy world.

Suddenly at the horizon, he saw a mast of a ship.

He was prepared for such a chance, he must get their attention, using wood he had already made a bonfire. He sprinted towards it, and using heat vision he started a fire.

He hoped to gain their attention so he had to create thick smoke. With his superior eyesight, he was tensely waiting for the ship to turn towards him.

Time was ticking, the ship was slowly sailing on its course and the bonfire started to emit dense smoke toward the sky.

Deciding it was not enough Neo added more trash he could find to the fire.

*On a Marine ship*

A tall man with bulging muscles, a grayish goatee, and a vice admiral cape was eating donuts on the bow of the ship. This ship had a dog's face chewing on a bone as a figurehead. Beside him stood a marine wearing a hat.

Suddenly a marine from the crow's nest(lookout) alerted: "Captain, dense smoke spotted from the island in the South"

The seas are dangerous in this world. Getting attacked by pirates or sea kings, mutiny in ships for profit and shipwrecks are not uncommon. Marines often come across survivors who are stranded on some desolate island. Everyone moved toward the edge of the sea to look out of curiosity. These parts of the sea are desolate. The captain thoughtfully said," Let's go have a look".

The ship started to head towards the island.

Neo's POV:

After tensely waiting for half an hour the ship finally turned. Neo sighed in relief, as a final backup he was prepared to use heat vision to send a signal. It was strikingly red and could have been easily spotted from afar.

He excitedly ran towards the beach.

The famous blue seagull on the mast meant that it was a marine ship.

Neo was also cautious and decided to observe the other party.

As the ship came closer Neo was stunned, Isn't that Marine Hero Garp and his right-hand man Bogard?

Garp also noticed him and thought 'Who is this boy? His clothes are tattered and looked pitiful'

Garp- "Who are you young boy, how did you reach this island?"

Neo- "My name is Neo Garcia, my ship was attacked by pirates and I was shipwrecked a long time ago. I somehow survived till now"

G-"Bwhahaha well done! This is impressive for a young boy like you, you have the spirit of the marines. You don't have to worry anymore the marines are here. Are you the only survivor Neo?"

N- "Yes, unfortunately"

Garp ordered the marines to help Neo.

N-"Wait I need to bring my treasure."

He sprinted towards the camp picked up the chest, then said his last goodbyes to the monkeys. Some of the monkeys started weeping.

*sniff sniff*

Garp was amused seeing this. 'Why does it look like the monkeys and this boy are long lost brothers and now they were getting separated after a brief meet?'. Neo and the others boarded the ship with the wooden chest. The anchors were lifted, the sails were drawn and the ship started sailing with the wind. Neo stood and the stern and the island grew smaller and the sky was getting dark.

Marines provided good baths, clean clothing, medical checkups, and proper human food with spices. Back with humans, Neo was very happy as he didn't have anyone to converse with. He asked about the year and the location he was in. 1497 and East Blue sea, this means Roger is still alive, three years later the great pirate era will begin. He started to plan my future paths subconsciously. During dinnertime, he narrated his story to the marines and how he found so much treasure. Everyone was amused and felt envious listening to his experience, but they also felt sympathy for him. The Marines on Garp's crew were good folks and good marines so Neo was not worried they will aim for his treasure. He respected Garp very much, the famous 'Iron fist of love'. He loved his grandchildren but had questionable parenting skills. During the Marineford arc, Garp had a clash of beliefs. Should he save Ace his grandson who is a pirate and stand against the marine or follow his beliefs as a Hero of the Marines? If he clashed with the marines the world would be in turmoil, the Marines will lose their morale and reputation.

"I have no pity for criminals, but family is a different story", these words hit hard.

Neo was touched by that scene. Since Garp rescued him in this life, he decided to change his fate in the future to repay him, also Ace was too cool for such an ending and must be protected. Many one-piece fans' hearts were broken by Ace's death and everyone wanted to find the address of the author to have a little *serious talk*.

Neo was exhausted mentally and wanted to have proper sleep. He was guided to a cabin, it had a clean bed and a 'pillow'. He jumped into the bed and it felt like heaven. The island didn't have any soft beds with cushions. He comfortably drifted to sleep listening to the sound of the waves and breeze.
