Sirzechs was now loading all of the provisions on Crimson Purgatory. He then looked at the horizon of the endless sea.
He felt the wind blow past his face and knew that there shouldn't be any problem if he wanted to set sail now.
"Here I come, the vast sea. You hate me, and I hate you too, so we just look away from each other."
Sirzechs laughed. He was quite adventurous when he was young (just a feeling and not actual memory), so sailing into an unknown sea should be one of his dreams.
He boarded the ship and then used some magic to blow wind toward the sail. And the ship sailed forward with considerable speed.
He could use many magic spells, but they couldn't be compared to his power of destruction, so he rarely used them.
'Fortunately, the old Sirzechs had learned some other type of magic from his wife. It should be very helpful in the future.'
He was really grateful to her for taking such good care of her husband, but now this body is his, and he should stop thinking like him.
He wasn't Sirzechs Lucifer, but Sirzechs D. Lucifer. They were different people.
…
"Okay, Sailing isn't as easy as I thought. What with the sea in this world?"
Sirzechs spoke while looking at a giant fish that wanted to swallow his ship. Sirzechs didn't know that there was such a big fish in the sea.
He killed many beasts on land, but this would be the first time he came across a beast in the sea.
"Want to eat me? Huh, I'll tell you it won't be easy."
Sirzechs smirked before he used his power of destruction. He lowered it so the meat wouldn't be destroyed.
The giant fish felt the weird power that came out of the little man in front of him.
It was confused at first, but something told it that it would be okay to eat the man, so it didn't hesitate anymore and tried to eat the little man along with his ship.
But before it could eat him, It was blown away by the power of the little man. He didn't use the first power that he had shown, but something way weaker.
It wasn't killed, but it was stunted.
"Tell me, did the sea tell you to kill me? Beast."
Sirzechs at first wanted to kill it, but he noticed its strange behavior. So he decided to spare it and ask if the sea wanted to kill him. His blood was boiling now.
The giant fish felt very afraid of the little man. It wanted to speak, but it didn't know how to.
"You don't need to speak human language, as I am not a human but devil. I can understand every language in this world."
The giant fish then told him that it was indeed the sea that had ordered him. And it asked him to let it live.
"Interesting."
Sirzechs didn't think that the sea had consciousness to order the giant fish to kill him. No, it shouldn't be the sea, but something or someone else.
'Maybe it was someone who could control the sea and hate devils. But who would that be?'
Sirzechs shook his head and felt excited because he had just found a purpose to become stronger. To him, it was very important because his sin was pride. He needed fuel to become stronger.
He then spoke to the giant fish.
"Well, thanks for the answer. Now you can go, but before you go, can you point me to the nearest island?"
The giant fish quickly used its fin to point in the west direction.
"You can go now. And don't believe the sea. It will trick you to your death."
The giant fish nodded and then drove deep into the sea. It would remember his world until the day it died.
Sirzechs then used magic again to move the sail in the direction that giant fish had pointed. He believed that it didn't point at the random location so it could escape from him.
It didn't have much intelligence in the first place.
…
Sirzechs then met the same thing over and over, and he killed many sea beasts. He then thought that he didn't need to buy any provisions next time if the sea loved him this much and sent him many sea foods to eat.
"Thank you for the food. Please send them as much as you can."
Sirzechs spoke to the sea. He didn't get any answers, and when he didn't see any sea beasts near him. He knew that his strategy worked.
"Yeah, you should know that weak beasts would only be my food. Don't waste lives."
Sirzechs reached an island that wasn't that big. He could tell that there were only hundred people living here at most.
"Why does this island smell so fishy? Are they living by fishing?"
Sirzechs came to dislike fishy smell because of the giant fish that tried to kill him for the past few days.
If he saw any fish, he might go on rampage and erase them out of existence.
