'What was that about?'

After that, the day continued as usual like nothing happened.

After following him to the processing room James brought all the monster corpses out and let the workers check them.

"No heads again."

The receptionist looked at James and just shrugged.

"Hey Long Hai. I have seen a lot of people talking about something on the way here, did something happen?"

Long Hai looked at James, wondering how he didn't hear about it, but after a few seconds he just gave up and answered.

"A base of the Deathbringers was found."

'Deathbringers?'

James had no idea who they were, but from the name they sounded like bad guys.

[The Deathbringers are a group of evil cultivators who are said to bring death to everywhere they go, in the past 100 years they have grown a lot and brought a lot of death and destruction]

Long Hai continued.

"The base is close to the city, so there is unrest among the citizens."

5 people dressed in black hoods were sitting around a table.

Shouted one of them.

Another one shouted.

"Why should we run away? They are just food coming to us on their own free will."

When he said that, the previous 2 looked at him like he was crazy.

Meanwhile the other 2 in the room looked at the 3 people talking.

"Food?! Do you know who is part of the people coming here!? There are too many big shots in their group, we will die!!"

"Die? Kikikikikiki, I can't die!! I'm immortal!! I will never die!! Kikikikikikiki!!"

The 2 looked at him like he was insane, which he was, and started arguing with him.

"Silence."

Having had enough of it, one of the 2 people that didn't speak so far started speaking.

"We will wait for them."

"Kikikiki!!"

"But-"

"Let me finish, we will wait, but it doesn't mean we won't be doing anything in the meantime, Lin Xue, contact HQ and ask for reinforcements."

Lin Xue looked at him, she wanted to argue that it was insane to try fighting, even with reinforcements, but knowing that it will do nothing, she just nodded.

"Wong Kai, get the defense ready."

Wong Kai nodded, he also thought it was insane, but he can't do anything now that it came to it.

And so, the meeting ended, Lin Xue, Wong Kai and Hong Xian left to do their jobs.

Hearing that, Long Lai let out a sigh of relief, but it was too soon.

Long Lai didn't get a reply.

Long Lai just sighed, he should have gotten used to Song Bing by now, he can only blame himself for being tricked.

He looked at the empty space in front of him.

After saying that one word, he got up and left the room.
