Calm island

On a small island, a man with a rather peculiar appearance wandered on the beach.

His name was Cornelius, he was a businessman who sold his soul to a company, with the hopes that one day he would be able to save enough money to enjoy life. and that day came but it didn't end as he expected.

After a big deal closed, he went to celebrate with his co-workers.

Cornelius got drunk and woke up on this island, the island wasn't big, it took him at least 1 hour to go around on the island by the beach

''I will never drink again, please end this nightmare''

Cornelius had already been on this island for two days, at first he thought he was kidnapped. but little by little Cornelius recognized that something was wrong.

The first reason being his body, his body was not the same as he had. before he was 1.70 m (5.5) and out of shape, now he is 2.10 m (6.8) with long legs

He looked at his reflection in a puddle of water next to him, and he saw a young adult with very strange hair, his red hair parted in the middle and stood on end making it look like he had two horns, he tried to straighten his hair but it kept coming back for the same particular position, he also had a goatee with black hair, he had a rather handsome face but with a bit devilish eyes. he wore a white shirt and black pants and shoes.

The second reason is what made him find out what world he was in, The sea was eerily calm. Like there were no waves on the sea, no wind, the ocean was like a mirror to the sky. It wasn't until the second day that Cornelius saw a Giant Fish rise out of the sea suddenly out of nowhere that Cornelius knew exactly how screwed he was.

He was in One Piece, and he was in one of the worst places to be, he was in the Calm Belt the place that separated the oceans from the Grand Line, The Calm Belt made a natural barrier across the entire grand line, windless and infested with kings of the seas, making it an arduous task to cross. Few are capable of safely crossing this location, the Navy being one of them. Cornelius may have gotten taller but he's still a normal human.

Cornelius looked at the ocean and made a decision, he was not going to die on this island, Cornelius spent his spare time watching anime and reading manga, one piece being one of his favorites.

'there is still hope, there are some ways for me to get off this island '

Knowing the plot, Cornelius has a big advantage with him. He already wasted the first whole day waiting for help, only now on the second day he realized that no one came to his rescue.

Now he is hungry and needs resources to put a plan into practice

In the middle of the island, there is a dense forest that Cornelius did not dare to enter, he heard strange noises coming from there and did not dare to enter, fishing was too risky because of the kings of the seas.

But now, he has no choice. Cornelius took a stick and tied a stone to the end, trying to improvise some tool to defend himself, when finished Cornelius looked at his new weapon, it looked like crap and at any moment it could break, afraid of breaking at the moment he needed it most. Cornelius decided to test on a nearby tree.

He took the club and slammed it hard on the tree.

The result was obvious, after the first hit the stone club broke.

Cornelius frowned.

''I suck at this'' but he didn't give up yet, he kept making and testing until he got something at least decent.

After several attempts and using all his knowledge of the discovery channel, Cornelius got a primitive Ax that didn't break when striking.

The ax had a bamboo handle with a stone tied to the end with ropes that Cornelius made.

'it should be enough for me to be able to defend myself, whatever that thing in the forest is'

One Piece's fauna is strange to say the least, ranging from common animals like deer to prehistoric animals like dinosaurs.

Cornelius prays not to be on an island like the one Luffy trained

Cornelius is very hungry after this work, seeing no way out he entered the forest

The forest at first was pretty ordinary, nothing surprising like in some islands of one piece, Cornelius walked through the dense forest trying to find any food, until he found an apple tree full of apples. Cornelius was so happy that he didn't notice how different this apple tree was from the earth.

The tree itself was much bigger and thicker than a normal apple tree and its trunk had wear marks.

Arriving at the base of the trees, Cornelius noticed the marks, it looked like something had been punishing the tree for a long time.

'whatever it is, I better hurry I don't want to stay in this forest at night' Taking off his white shirt Cornelius improvised a cloth bag with it and climbed the tree

looking at apples Cornelius couldn't resist and ate one

'hm.. delicious'

Cornelius didn't know if it was hunger influencing him, but that apple was very juicy. it was the tastiest apple she ever ate.

Cornelius is not an expert on animals but he was pretty sure a boar couldn't be that big.

The Boar was looking at Cornelius with eyes red with rage, seeming to realize that he was stealing his food.

'Looks like I wasted my time making that axe, I'll die if I try to face him'

Cornelius took his bag and filled it with apples, and looked at the pig

'I need to distract him somehow to go back to the beach

he took some apples and threw them at the boar, It looks like it didn't work, the boar stayed there

Cornelius recalled that the animals in One Piece have a certain level of intelligence. he was able to befriend the local animals. They are apparently capable of understanding humans and some even wield weapons, such as Humandrills who learn even Zorro's sword skills. So Cornelius tried a diplomatic approach with this boar

''Hey pig, I didn't know this tree was yours, I promise to leave if you don't attack me'' The boar looked at him for a moment and snorted.

Looks like he won't cooperate

''If you share the tree with me and don't attack me, I can get the Apples for you.'' The boar stopped and seemed to think about it. It seems that he feeds exclusively on this fruit, but since he can't climb he has to hit the tree every day for the fruit to fall and he can eat.

''OINK'' he seems to like Cornelius' offer

Cornelius then took the rest of the apples and threw them to the Boar.

While the boar was eating, Cornelius carefully got down from the tree and looked at the boar, he didn't seem hostile.

''looks like we have a deal'' The boar gave a look of recognition and went back to eating

Taking the bag Cornelius went back to the beach

Sitting on the beach by the fire he had just made, Cornelius had time to think.

He was in the world of One Piece now, He must adapt quickly to be able to survive this reality, the way he is now, a normal pirate would be able to defeat him. he knows that to have a good life in this world, you need strength to have at least a dignified life.

The government in this world is corrupt to the core, slavery is a reality in this world. Few islands are protected by the navy. Most of the islands are exploited by cruel pirates.

Very few pirates are as good as Whitebeard or Straw Hats. Cornelius knows that this world is more cruel than the anime shows.

So Cornelius has to rely on his knowledge of the plot. Looking at the fruits he picked he achieved his initial goal of having a source of nutrition to sustain himself.

So he intends to take the first step to escape this island, which is to learn the powers of One Piece.

He's not going to learn Haki or anything like that, because he doesn't even have a clue how to start training it. But he knows that there is a power in the One Piece world that will help him in his situation, which is Geppo.

In the anime Geppo is the ability to be able to kick the air giving the user the ability to fly by kicking the air and boosting himself, in the anime Sanji learned this ability by running nonstop until he eventually managed to kick the air

Cornelius intends to use Geppo to cross the Calm Belt through the air, as crossing in any other way is suicide.

The only person who managed to cross in the anime was Rayleigh and he did it by swimming, Cornelius is a long way from being able to do the same

'unless someone rescues me this is the only way out of here '

Cornelius was alarmed by the sudden beating, He looked around thinking it was an animal or the boar from before wanting to kill him, but there was no one.

The apple started to beat harder and started to change shape, It started to get bigger and its texture started to deform making red wave patterns on the skin

It stopped vibrating and was in a shape of a red human hand, with red waves on the skin.

Her apple had become an akuma no mi!
