Chapter 9: Marine Ensign

Byakuya walked slowly toward the detained soldiers, a bloodthirsty smile on his face. He spoke coldly, 

"Open fire and kill all these people!"

"What?" Everyone present looked at Byakuya with incredulous eyes. 

Even Vaughn, who had already left, stopped in his tracks.

"Is... Is Byakuya going to kill them all?" The soldiers responsible for the execution around were stunned. 

These soldiers in front of them might have been joking and laughing with them just yesterday, calling them brothers. 

Today, they were going to kill them all. This kind of contrast was not something everyone could accept.

Byakuya didn't hesitate to mock, 

"If I hadn't stepped forward to kill Harry, it would be you guys who were being decided on life and death now." 

"Do you think they would spare you back then?" 

"I didn't expect you guys to hesitate now. I don't know what to say."

"It's better to solve them all at once this time."

"But... if we kill them all, the strength of our Marine will be weakened by more than half. If more pirates are invading..." Vaughn felt something was wrong as he spoke. 

As long as Byakuya was here, whether or not there were Marine soldiers on the island wouldn't make much difference.

Vaughn thought about it for a moment and felt that this approach was relatively reasonable. After all, people always had to pay the price for their choices.

In front of everyone, he announced Byakuya's promotion to the rank of Marine Ensign. At the same time, the voice of the system echoed in Byakuya's mind.
