Chapter 10: Alvida Pirate and Coby

After the meeting, Vaughn pulled Byakuya aside. "Last night, I reported everything that happened here." 

"It's said that Vice-Admiral Onigumo from Headquarters is very interested in you and is willing to recommend you to the elite training camp at Marine Headquarters."

The Alvida Pirates, the first pirate crew Luffy encountered after setting sail. 

Captain Alvida is a grotesque and obese woman, resembling a shrunken version of Big Mom. Luffy and Coby met because of the Alvida Pirates. 

At this point, Luffy should still have over a year before setting sail.

So, Byakuya encounters the Alvida Pirates, it's his first encounter with characters from the anime. 

He can finally experience how changing plot points will bring about benefits. Byakuya vanished directly from the ship.

When Byakuya reappeared, he was already on Alvida's ship. 

He looked at the little figure in front of him, with a mushroom-shaped head topped with cherry blossom pink, holding a broom in both hands, looking like a complete pushover. 

"If I'm not mistaken, this... should be Coby, right?"

Coby was instantly scared, backing away repeatedly, falling to the ground, holding his head, and crying out, 

"Who are you? Please don't hurt me, I'm just a poor errand boy." Byakuya chuckled, 

"Just as timid as in the anime." 

"Who's timid?" Coby buried his head in his arms, arguing indignantly.

But his trembling body completely gave him away. "You don't need to be afraid. My name is Byakuya, I'm a Marine." 

"A Marine?" Upon hearing "Marine," Coby immediately stood up excitedly. 

"Are you a Marine?" 

"Who else would I be?" Coby grabbed Byakuya and said excitedly, 

"Marine, sir, I have information to report!" Coby told Byakuya everything he had seen and heard on the ship. "Don't worry, I'll take care of these pirates." 

"Now, let's talk about your situation. After I deal with these pirates, are you planning to go home? Or..." 

Coby didn't hesitate at all and immediately replied, "I'm ready to join the Marines!"

"Are you sure?" 

"Of course, becoming a Marine is my lifelong dream."
