Grand Line.
At this time, somewhere in the waters of the New World, a war had erupted silently. On both sides of the conflict, nearly twenty top Marine warships were lined up, exchanging fierce artillery fire!
This sea area had been tranquil for many days, devoid of large islands, making it a rare peaceful spot in the New World—a place otherwise filled with bloodshed and chaos.
Unfortunately, the peace was shattered. Now, this sea area had transformed into a battlefield.
"Vice Admiral Momousagi, I don't know what weapon the CP organization used, but the Den Den Mushi can't connect to the outside world!" On the former Admiral candidate Momousagi's battleship, her deputy, a former Rear Admiral, reported with a look of deep anxiety.
At this moment, the ten thousand former Navy soldiers who chose to follow Momousagi were fighting bravely, but worry was evident on many faces.
The reason?
Their current enemies were a joint force led by another Admiral candidate, Tokikake, and the World Government's CP0 unit!
This lineup was intimidating. The soldiers who had left the Navy's G-6 base to follow Momousagi were clearly at a disadvantage. Though Momousagi was once a candidate for Admiral, so was Tokikake. Adding to that was the underhanded nature of CP0, which had a reputation for its despicable tactics.
Unsurprisingly, many of the soldiers felt anxious. After all, leaving the Navy to follow Momousagi was a risky decision. Among the thousands who joined her, some had done so reluctantly, compelled by circumstances rather than choice.
Momousagi's fleet now faced a grim situation.
"Keep trying to contact Shiro in Amazon Lily. If we can establish communication, we must!" Momousagi ordered, her cold eyes fixed on Tokikake, who sat confidently among the opposing fleet. Her tone was emotionless, but there was determination in her gaze.
The operation had been meticulously planned to avoid drawing attention from Navy Headquarters. The fact that CP0 had caught up to them indicated that their movements were being closely monitored by the World Government—a scenario Momousagi had considered before setting out.
However, with the recent end of the War and the looming World Conscription, Momousagi had hoped the World Government and Navy Headquarters would be too preoccupied to notice her. She was wrong. CP0 had been watching all along.
Even so, Momousagi didn't regret her actions. Had she stayed at the G-6 base, her forces would have been targeted and scattered soon enough. Some of her trusted subordinates might not have survived at all.
Retreat was an option, but it would mean abandoning most of her soldiers. Momousagi would only choose that path as a last resort. The best solution was to notify Shiro, hoping he could turn the tide from his position on the other side of the Grand Line.
Yet, she hadn't expected the enemy to wield a device capable of blocking Den Den Mushi communication.
"Gion, don't be stubborn! For the sake of that brat Shiro, are you really willing to make the Navy your enemy? You've fought for the Navy's justice before!" The battle raged on, and the masters on both sides were now joining the fray.
Admiral candidate Tokikake maneuvered his warship closer to Momousagi's, his smug face tinged with mock concern.
"Stop this nonsense and fight me, Tokikake!" Momousagi snapped, her patience wearing thin.
Though colleagues for years and fellow Admiral candidates, Momousagi had long despised Tokikake. His constant flirtations and unwelcome confessions were infuriating. Who could ever accept his advances?
"Come on, Gion. I'm only looking out for you," Tokikake replied, attempting to soften his tone.
"That brat Shiro, no matter how strong he's become, he won't stand a chance against the World Government in the end."
Tokikake's eyes gleamed with infatuation as he continued, "I've always liked you. If you accept my confession, I'll do my best to intercede with the Navy on your behalf!"
Tokikake's warship edged closer, his eyes filled with cheap affection, but Momousagi's response was swift and cold. Without a word, she unleashed a golden slash from her sword, instantly destroying a top Marine warship.
Though the Den Den Mushi was useless, she still had ways to get a message to Shiro. For now, it was time to fight.
New World, Punk Hazard!
At this very moment, a battle that captivated the world was unfolding on the vast island of Punk Hazard.
Admiral Akainu was locked in a brutal confrontation with Aokiji—a clash that would decide the next Fleet Admiral of the Navy. Regardless of the outcome, the Navy would be irrevocably changed.
High above the battleground, a spaceship hovered, carrying ten mysterious figures, including Shiro, Robin, and the newly joined Enel, fresh from his return from the Moon.
Behind them were seven black-robed figures—the robot generals Shiro had crafted: Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, Earth, Wind, and Thunder.
Shiro observed the ongoing battle from the sky, thoughtful as he watched the frozen and molten landscapes clash. Akainu's injuries had almost fully healed, and his strength seemed even greater than before.
To the untrained eye, the battle appeared evenly matched. But Shiro could see the scales tipping in Akainu's favor. It wasn't that Aokiji was weak; rather, his desire to win was overshadowed by his disillusionment with the Navy and World Government.
Shiro's suspicions were confirmed: Aokiji had grown dissatisfied with the current state of the Navy and the World Government.
