Fight Till Death

"EeeehhhhhHH???!!!"

"Escanor, maybe I heard it wrong but to be clear let me ask again. Did you say that we should Fight till death

against these insects who are not insects no matter how I see them? Right? I must have heard it wrong. Hehehe" Olvia had a silly expression on her face.

"Of course not. I meant what I said. And yeah I'm not joking!" I said with a straight face.

"But how can we fight them? It's impossible!!" It was Robin who spoke this time. I looked at her like she was an idiot and said "Of course, it's impossible. Isn't that obvious? I didn't expect you to win. You just have to fight till you're on the brink of death. I know it sounds harsh but the world is crueler than you think and you have seen it and experienced it firsthand. And don't worry about dying. Let me show you what I'm talking about!"

As I said that they both looked at me and what I was gonna do. I spread out my left hand to the front and kept it straight. Then I brought my right hand above my and opened my hands as if catching something. A few seconds later a sound was coming from the forest as if something was piercing the air and moving toward my hand. It was my divine axe rhitta.

Robin and Olvia were surprised but they were also interested in what I was about to do. In the next moment, their eyes widened and *slash!!

Something fell from where I was standing. Blood spurting from my left hand. Robin immediately turned back and started to throw up Rainbow. Olivia tried to hold it in but unlike before she couldn't!

After they were done. They turned around and looked at me. Robin was bawling her eyes out. Olivia looked like she was about to break down. But I stopped them from crying and said

"Don't worry nothing will happen to me! Now, look carefully."

Although it was difficult for them to look at my hand. They still forced themselves to look. Then they saw something that they couldn't have imagined!

"Absolute heal!"

My arm started to grow back. And in a few seconds, it was back to normal. It was like my hand was never cut before. Both mother and daughter's jaws were on the ground.

"H-how?" Olivia spoke weakly. She couldn't believe what just happened. Even though it happened and she watched it happen. She couldn't help but doubt if it was real or not. Whereas Robin was in a similar state to Olvia was in.

"It's my special ability. I won't go into detail but I hope this was enough to convince you two that no matter what I won't let anything happen to you!"

Olvia came out of her stupor and looked at me

" I will do as you say but please I don't want Robin to go through this!" She almost begged.

"I will agree to that if she will agree to it" I pointed towards Robin who was at this point looking at me nervously. She looked like she was thinking about something. Then a determined look appeared on her face.

"I agree-"

"See even she doesn't want to tra- " but before Olvia could say anything Robin interrupted her

"I agree to Fight and become stronger so that I can protect everyone and I can be free from everything and do whatever I want!"

"But Robin you can't. You're still just a kid. You won't be able to handle it!! Escanor say something!!"

"Olvia, Robin has already agreed. Don't let her determination go to waste! I won't let anything happen to her. Trust me!"

"Please Mom, I want to do it! I want to become as strong as Escanor."

Olvia finally sighed and reluctantly agreed to it.

" We will rest for one day and we'll start your training tomorrow. Sleep well because you won't be able to from tomorrow onwards."

shivers went down their body. Their whole body trembled for a moment. However, they nodded at the end. The sky was already becoming dark. I hunted some insects to eat. Although they looked disgusting the meat inside was delicious and nutritious. It almost tasted like a crab. The two women were also reluctant to eat but when they saw my expression they tried one bite. In an instant, everything on their plate was gone!

After eating, both were sleepy. They arranged their beds and slept.

-----Next day------

After waking and eating the remaining meat for breakfast. We ventured deep into the forest to find some relatively weak insects to fight. After walking for half an hour we found one. It was a caterpillar. It was really slow and had weak defense but it would be hard to kill for both of them.

A/n: I am not really good at writing fighting scenes. So I am gonna skip this one. And they are fighting a weak caterpillar, what do you expect it to do, run away?

I wanted Robin to fight the caterpillar. Olvia wanted to retort but for some reason, she didn't. Robin nodded and started to run towards the huge caterpillar.

As she reached close enough, she started raining punches and kicks I taught her. Using her devil fruit ability, she started to attack it all around its body. She even punched its head using her own body. What she didn't expect was for it to retaliate. It immediately crawled towards Robin. Although its speed was slower than the Mosquito and the centipede, it was still fast enough to catch Robin off-guard. It instantly rammed into Robin. Robin flew backward and rolled to the ground. There were bruises all over her body. But she didn't give up!

---1 hour later------

Robin finally killed the caterpillar using a stick and stabbed it several times. Surprisingly the stick was sturdy and strong enough to pierce the caterpillar.

However, she didn't come out unscathed. Her left hand was dangling and bent backward in a weird way. I can only imagine how much pain she is going through.

Olvia wanted to help her daughter but I didn't let her. She was constantly trying to interrupt but I had enough of her and 'gently' made her sleep.

Robin after killing the caterpillar was laying on the ground. She was breathing heavily. I went and sat beside her. She looked at me and asked

" How did I do? was it good enough?"

"Yes. Looking at how weak you are it was better than I expected!"

"Yeah? How about you heal me now? I feel like I am going to pass out now"

I used absolute heal on her and she was back to how she was before fighting the caterpillar. Fully healed! In perfect condition!

"Wow!! No matter how many times I see it. It's still unbelievable."

"Well, get used to it because you're going to experience it more often"

Just then Olvia woke up and looked at me then turned towards Robin who was fully healed. She was relieved to see her daughter looking completely fine. Then he looked towards the caterpillar, her eyes widened and she immediately turned towards robin and questioned

"Robin, tell me you didn't defeat the caterpillar!" she refused to believe it. But then Robin nodded her head and gave a thumbs up to her mom.

"I did it, Mom!! hehehe" She giggled.

"*sigh* Is it my turn now? whatever let's just be done with it"

We immediately found another caterpillar. Olvia started the fight but unlike her daughter, she didn't have a devil fruit. So she struggled more than her daughter. Her skills were better than Robin's, she used a small knife to pierce the caterpillar. The fight went on for one and a half hours until she finally killed it. Just like Robin, she was also injured. But I healed her and she was back in perfect condition. It is noon time and we started eating the caterpillars they defeated. The taste wasn't the best but it was not bad. Like this, we started to spend our time on this island.

-----9 months later--------

I planned to leave this island 6 months after their training started but looking at their progress I decided to stay 3 more months. Fighting was not their strong point that's why they didn't improve much. Robin is now strong enough to beat her counterpart(OG Robin pre-timeskip).

Olvia is physically stronger than Robin. But when it comes to fighting, Robin is still stronger due to her devil fruit. They are now strong enough to survive on this island alone. I say 'survive' because they still can't stand a chance against some of the strongest insects on this island. Such as Mantis, beetles, etc.

Today we're finally going to depart from this island. The time I spent here was significant so I won't say that I don't have any emotional connection with this island. Aahh The taste of those insects I will miss it.

I also made a friend, his name is Hercules! he's ironically a Hercules beetle if I am not wrong.

Flashback-------2 months ago------

I met him when I was strolling through the forest and he was fighting dozens of ants. He was protecting someone behind him. It was his mate probably. There were also 4 eggs, no 5 eggs? I saw the fifth egg and my eyes widened 'I didn't expect to encounter one here' was what I thought. Then my attention was drawn toward the ongoing battle. The beetle was pushed back slowly. He was losing and he looked desperate.

'*sigh* I guess I won't get to taste beetle anymore'

I immediately appeared in front of him and punched the ant. All it needed was a single punch to obliterate it. The beetle was startled for a moment then sensing that I didn't mean any harm to him or his family he quietly backed down. 'Wwhaa- Looks like he's intelligent. Maybe he can sense my intent? whatever let's deal with these pests' I then rushed towards the ants to finish them. Not even a minute later, I was staring at the beetle in front of me intriguingly. He too was staring at me, probably finding out what my intention is. I then brought my hands to his head.

He closed his eyes probably accepting his death. Because he knew he couldn't defeat me. But death didn't come to him. Instead, it was a hand rubbing his huge horns. He sensed affectionate feelings from the person in front of him. He opened his eyes and looked at me, I could somewhat feel his emotions. Surprise, doubt, and relief. But then he moved and brought his head close to me and started rubbing his head on my body.

' Is he saying thank you? '

After that, he went back to his family. I started to visit him almost every day when I was free. We used to fight together, he has become quite strong compared to before. I once asked him about the egg which was different from others. Although he didn't understand what I said. But he did understand my intention. And he was not pleased. After that, I didn't talk about it anymore. A few weeks ago the eggs finally hatched and 4 larvae came out of them. Only 1 egg didn't hatch. The next when I went to meet him he expressed his worries wondering if I have a solution.

I explained to him that it was not their eggs but a fruit.

Looks like he understood what I meant. He then gestured for me to take it. And like a gentleman who wouldn't refuse, I received the fruit from him. It was as I expected a Devil fruit!!

A/n: starting from tomorrow I might post the chapters every two days. Since my classes will start, I might not have time to fully focus on this fanfic. But I will try my best to release a chapter every day
