Jaya

Viper was sitting with Chopper in the lab and said "The rumble balls have been expanded to 30 minutes but it seems that surpassing that is impossible."

Chopper rubbed his chin and said "What if we concentrate the chemicals further then apply them into the rumble ball in smaller amounts"

Viper said "A hyper concentrated rumble ball? That could be extremely dangerous, if you're even a single milligram off, you'll go into monster point immediately.. Let's try it!" He started breaking down the chemicals and concentrating them to extreme states before making a new rumble ball with the same ratios, but different volumes. Viper finished and was holding a black rumble ball, that was half the size of a normal one, he said "I have to be honest with you Chopper, I have no idea what this is going to do. I would really like to test it on someone else."

Chopper was extremely serious, he slowly took the black rumble ball from Viper and said "We don't really have that option."

Viper frowned and said "Chopper, listen to me. Experimenting on yourself is extremely dangerous. What if that causes you to stay in Monster point forever? Then you can't sail with us until we get a bigger ship."

Chopper put the black rumble ball down and Viper stuffed it into a bag and said "Next time we find a Zoan, we'll capture him and force him to eat it, alright?" Chopper nodded and the two walked out of the lab.

The duo arrived on the deck, and Viper looked up and said "Is there supposed to be a galleon falling on top of us right now?" the rest of the crew looked up and paled.

Robin said "Maybe, we'll have a fast death." Viper nodded, and the rest of the rest scrambled to move out if the way of the galleon. The giant ship fell into the water nest to them and caused a wave of water to splash on to the deck. The Merry was pushed away slightly from the other ship's impact.

Nami turned around and said "Why are you two so calm?!" Viper and Robin looked at each other, and Viper shrugged.

"We have devil fruit powers, couldn't escape even if we wanted to." he said as he walked over to the railing and said "Maybe there's treasure on the ship.."

Nami's eyes turned to Beri signs and she commanded "Alright! Hurry up and go investigate!" Ussop grumbled and went to make diving suits, Viper followed after him. A while later, the duo came back out with 3 diving suits, that looked like they were made of barrels and metal. Ussop handed the three suits to Zoro, Sanji, and Luffy, the three put them on and Viper plugged a hose into each of the helmets.

He said "Alright, this is their first test! This hose will be your air supply watch it carefully if it comes out you die. It's made of a double sided c-" Nami ran over and kicked the three into the water and screeched "GET IN ALREADY!" Viper blinked and pinched the bridge of his nose "You do realize that they could really die right?"

Nami waved him off and said "If they don't come back up with any treasure, i'll kill them myself." Viper sighed and walked next to Robin and sat down mumbling "Crazy witch.." Robin looked over at Viper and giggled, she thought it was funny to see the scientist get pushed to the side by the navigator.

A while later

A giant sea turtle swam by and ate the entire ship that the three were on and started pulling the ship away, by the hoses. Nami said "Cut the hoses!" Viper snapped "NO! Are you crazy they'll die!"

Luckily the giant sea turtle surfaced and opened his mouth, letting out the trio, who jumped back on to the boat. Viper let out a breath of relief and sagged back into his chair.

Luffy held up a scooter looking thing and said "I found this!" and then took out a metal chest plate and put it on "And this armor!" Viper came over and looked at the armor and the scooter, while he was looking the crew heard a huge cymbal noise. The crew looked in the direction of the noise and saw a huge boat with a giant monkey holding cymbals on it, a figure jumped off the boat and landed on the Merry.

The figure revealed himself to be a man, that looked like a monkey as he said "Hey! What are you doing here? Don't you know I own the seas around here! This is my salvaging spot." Luffy looked at the man and said "Woah! You look like a monkey!"

The man scratched the back of his head and said "Yeah? You really think so?" Luffy nodded and the man said "Gee, thanks! My name's Masira, nice to meet you." as he stretched out his hand.

Luffy shook it and said "My name's Luffy! I'm going to be the pirate king!" Masira laughed and looked at Luffy before he said "No way! I'm going to be the salvage King!" Luffy brightened up and grabbed Masira's shoulder and they both started dancing. When they stopped Masira said "What are you guys doing here, and where did you get that cool piece of armor?"

Luffy said "A giant ship fell from the sky on top of us, and I got this from the ship!"

Masira said "A giant ship fell from the sky you say? And that was on it?" Luffy nodded and Masira continued "And you dived under water and got that?" Luffy nodded again and Masira said "So in other words you salvaged it?" Luffy nodded and Masira punched him and said "I just said I was going to become the salvage king! What are you doing salvaging in front of me!?" Luffy got up and the two started a dust brawl.

The dust settled and Robin said "Technically, It wasn't salvaging because the ship fell from the sky." Masira said "Oh I guess my fault then, sorry about punching you." Luffy said "That's okay." and they started dancing again.

Viper sighed and said "Hey! Monkey man! Do you know anything about a sky island?" Masira nodded and said "There's a guy I know on Jaya, who knows about the sky island place." Viper said "Perfect, how do you get to Jaya?" Masira took out an eternal pose to Jaya, and threw it over to Viper, while saying "Take this as a token of our friendship. I still have some salvaging to do so i'll meet you there!" and he jumped back on to his ship, Viper said "I never got to ask if he ate a Zoan fruit..." Viper threw the Eternal pose at Nami and sat back down. Nami caught the eternal pose and the crew starting sailing towards Jaya, but before they could get very far the skies turned dark and the crew saw huge giants with wings.

Ussop screeched "MONSTERS!" and the crew rowed the Merry away as fast as they could.

Viper looked back at the 'monsters' and said "Wait a minute, those figures looked at lot like people. Could it be?" Robin looked at him and he said "Maybe they were just shadows. If sky island does exist, then the people living on them are much closer to the sun, which would make their shadows much bigger."

Robin nodded and said "Then what we just saw were shadows?" Viper nodded and Robin said "So we can safely say that sky island does exist?" Viper smiled and nodded again, the rest of the crew cheered and Luffy said "Let's go to Sky Island!!"

A while later

The crew arrived on Jaya, and Nami split the crew into three groups. Group 1 was Nami, Luffy, Zoro, and Viper, Group 2 was Robin and Sanji, and Group 3 was Ussop and Chopper. Nami said "Our group will try and get information on Sky Island, Robin's group will go shopping for food and also get information, and Ussop and Chopper, you guys stay and watch the ship." the crew nodded and split up.

Viper was walking in town with his group, and noticed that the town was extremely hectic. There were crashes, and bangs everywhere. The group came across a man fallen on the side of the road, the man said "Could you please help me?" Viper and Zoro dragged him put and put him on his horse, the man said "Thank you, would you like an apple?" Viper frowned and was about to say something, but Luffy already ate the apple.

The crew head an explosion and a voice "Woah! He just ate an apple and exploded!" Viper turned to the man on the horse and hissed. The man said "Relax, your friend is very lucky. That was a good one." before he and the horse slowly walked away.

Viper frowned and said "Very dangerous place, even the apples explode here." Luffy waved him off and the group started walking deeper into town, they came across a bar and walked in.

Inside the bar, Luffy was sitting next to a huge man, while Zoro was sitting next to him, and Viper was sitting in between Zoro and Nami. The man and Luffy both ate a cherry pie and said at the same time "This pie tastes horrible/great!" the two of them looked at each other and drink their drinks and said "This tastes great/horrible!"

The man snapped "Are you against me brat?!"

Luffy got in his face and said "What's your problem?!" they both turned to the bartender and said "I want 10 pie/steaks" they looked at each other again and said "20 steaks/pies!"

"30 pies!"

"40 steaks!"

"50 pies!"

"51 steaks!"

The man snapped "Why you little.." the bartender came back and put a big box on the counter and said "Here are your 10 pies" the man took it and walked out of the bar grumbling about Luffy. On his way out he passed a blond haired man.

The blond haired man walked up to the bar and said "Are you that Strawhat kid? With the 30 million bounty?" he looked over and said "And the rainbow haired kid, with 20 million?" Nami and Zoro looked at Viper, who crushed his cup and was grinding his teeth.

Nami said "Were not here to fight! You guys promised! We're just here to find out how to get to Sky Island." the bar was quiet before everyone started laughing, Nami was confused.

The man said "Hey old man get my friend here a drink!" the bartender came with a drink and put in in front of Luffy.

Luffy said "Hey! Thanks, you're a pretty nice guy!" the man grabbed the drink and smashed Luffy over the head with it.

The man sneered and said "Idiot! Why would I buy you a drink?! I was going to ask you to join my crew, but obviously you idiots aren't worthy! Sky Island doesn't exist!" he started laughing, Luffy just got up and cleaned off his hat before sitting back down and saying nothing. The man sneered and said "Listen up! I'm Bellamy the hyena! 55 million bounty! The age of pirate dreams is over!"

Luffy was quiet and Viper was grabbing the bar so hard it was creaking and breaking, he was about to rip it off and beat Bellamy with it, but Luffy stopped him and said "Viper. Zoro. No matter what, don't fight back." Viper took a deep breath and let go of the bar, leaving deep finger marks in it.

Bellamy didn't notice and punched Luffy in the face, sending him to the floor. He did the same to Viper and Zoro, as his crew started hitting them with chairs and bottles, causing the trio to get cuts and bleed. They never once fought back. Bellamy sneered and said "Too scared to fight back? Hmph Losers."

Nami said "Forget what I said! Fight back!" the trio just ignored her and continued to endure.

Bellamy stopped and said "Get out of here! You wannabe pirates are eye sores!" as he kicked them across the bar. The trio got up and left the bar, with Nami following them.

They walked outside and Nami said "Why didn't you fight back?! You could've beat them easily!" Luffy and the other two were quiet and the group heard a laugh.

"Zehahahahah They won that fight, girl. That guy wasn't worth fighting!" the man from the bar continued "Go for your dreams! Sky Island is real! Zehahahahaha" the group walked away, going back to the Merry.

Nami said "Who was he?" Viper said "Not he." Luffy added "It felt more like 'they'" Nami was confused, but still followed behind them as they made their way back to the Merry.

The rest of the crew were all waiting at the Merry when Luffy's group showed up, the crew were shocked at all the trio's injuries. Chopper ran forward to heal them and Sanji said "What happened?" Nami explained what happened angrily and the crew was quiet.

Robin said "Good news is, I found information on the man. His name is Montblanc Cricket, and he lived on the other side of the Island." The crew nodded and set sail to go find him.

A while later

The crew landed on the other side of the island and saw a house, Luffy walked in and saw that there was nobody inside. Nami saw that on a stump outside the house there was a book, she said "There's a book here, it's called Noland the liar."

Sanji said "Noland the liar?" and walked over.

Nami said "You've heard about it before?" Sanji nodded and Nami said "But it said it was printed in the North blue."

Sanji said "I was born in the North blue, my mom used to read it to me when I was a kid. I never told you guys?" Viper looked at Sanji deeply and said "You were born in the North blue?" Sanji looked over to see Viper analyzing himself and nodded. Viper looked at him for another moment and he opened him mouth slightly before turning back to the book. Sanji stared at Viper for a second before turning back to Nami, who started reading the book aloud.

Nami finished reading and Luffy was standing over the water looking at bubbles, all of a sudden he was dragged into the water, and a tall man jumped out holding Luffy by his ankle. The man said "Who are you? Did you come to steal my gold?" the crew denied and Cricket started shooting at them before collapsing to the ground. Chopper ran over and said that he had a diver's disease, and that he needed treatment, they brought Cricket to his house and Chopper started his treatment. Cricket woke up and said "Sorry about that, everybody who comes here usually comes for the gold. Why are you here?"

Nami said "We want to know how to get to Sky Island." Cricket said "The only way to get to Sky Island, if it exists, is by the knock up stream."

Nami said "Knock up stream?" Cricket nodded and explained what the knock up stream was and when it would come, he added "Right above the knock up stream, there are ancient clouds, people call them fossilized clouds because they never move. That's how you know where the knock up streams will be."

Viper rubbed his chin and said "You said that Noland was a real person, right?" Cricket nodded and Viper continued while pacing "So he claimed he saw a city of gold, and you claimed that Noland was, in fact, not a liar. You also said that there are fossilized clouds above a knock up stream.. Cricket do you think these fossilized clouds are thick enough to walk on?"

Cricket said "I guess it would be possible..."

Viper nodded and turned to Robin and said "The galleon that fell from the sky, you clarified it was around 200 years old correct?" Robin nodded and Viper said "So if the ship was 200 years old we can assume that the clouds can support a ship at least, so what if Noland really did find a city of gold but instead of sinking it-"

Cricket stood up and said "IT FLEW INTO THE SKY?!" Viper nodded. Cricket said "How is that possible! An island getting blasted into the sky?"

Viper said "Anything is possible really, you said that Jaya was where Noland found the gold. Then it is either in the sky or in the sea, giant golden cities don't just disappear" Cricket sat down and was amazed, Viper frowned and said "There's something else, let's just say that half of Jaya DID get blasted into the air, how can it just stay there?"

Robin said "Because the clouds are thick enough, you just said that."

Viper nodded and said "Yes, but that means there was an Island already there. Which also means that it was made of entirely clouds." Viper opened his mouth slightly and said "That means there's a shortage of dirt! Maybe we can trade dirt with the inhabitants!" Nami's eyes turned to Beri signs.

Cricket blinked and said "That's what you thought of?!"

Viper turned to Ussop and said "Maybe because they live in the sky they have different technology!" as he grabbed a shovel and ran outside. Robin watched him go and giggled "He is the strangest scientist i've ever met." the rest nodded and Luffy just threw his hands up and said "So we're going to Sky Island?!" the crew sighed and nodded, and Luffy cheered and said "Let's party!" before he ran out too.

A while later

The crew was partying and Viper was loading box after box of dirt on to the Merry. Cricket was drinking before he spit out his drink and said "Wait! I forgot! You need a south bird!" the crew was confused, and Cricket went to get a statue and said "This is a south bird, you'll need it to fing the knock up stream. The south birds always point south, and the knock up stream is directly south from here. Your log pose won't point south for you." Cricket pointed to the woods and said "That way is where they live. They make strange noises so finding one should be easy. While you're away, we'll get to work on your ship so it's ready." the crew nodded and went to go get the bird.

A little later

The crew returned and found Cricket and the two monkey brothers beat up and on the ground. Luffy ran over and said "Old man! Who did this to you!" Cricket was quiet and Sanji walked over to Cricket's house and saw the symbol on the wall, he pointed and said "Luffy, there's a symbol here." Luffy saw it and immediately knew who did it, he got up and started walking to town.

Viper saw the symbol and full transformed, he picked up Luffy and said "We'll be right back, with your gold Old man." and flew towards town.

In the bar

Bellamy was laughing with a bunch of gold next to him, one of his crew ran in with three bounty posters and said "Captain! The guys from today have new bounties! I think we should leave!" Bellamy looked at the posters and waved him off "Those are just fakes to scare me don't worry about it." all of a sudden a loud voice was heard.

"BELLAMY!!!"

Bellamy and a couple of his crew members walked outside and saw Luffy standing on top of Viper's head. Viper had his wings fully spread out and hissed at Bellamy. Luffy tapped his foot and Viper lowered his head to the ground, Luffy jumped off and Viper reverted back to his human form. Luffy said "Give me Old man Cricket's gold back!"

Bellamy laughed at him and said "I won't. What are you gonna do about it?" Bellamy started bouncing around and picking up speed, Luffy just stood there and Bellamy said "Take this! Spring hopper!" and shot toward Luffy. Luffy just raised his fist and brought it down, hitting Bellamy right in the face and smashing him into the ground, completely unconscious.

The rest of Bellamy's crew said "Hey captain, this isn't a good joke! Come on get up!"

Viper said "Luffy can I take care of the rest?" Luffy nodded and Viper full transformed, before slamming his tail into Bellamy's crew, sending them all flying. Luffy and Viper walked into the bar, got Cricket's gold back and Viper flew back to Cricket's house with Luffy.

They landed in front of the crew and Viper reverted, Luffy gave the Old man his gold back and grinned "Here ya go, Old man! Shishishishi" Cricket smiled and took his gold. Viper went back and grabbed the rest of the boxes of dirt and put them on the ship, before he looked at the Merry.

Viper said "Why does it look like a chicken?" the rest of the rest sighed and Luffy said "It looks cool!" Viper sighed and the crew thanked Cricket and set sail with Masira and his brother leading the way.

The crew came across a whirlpool and the Merry was dragged in, the two monkey brothers wished the crew goodluck and returned to Jaya, as the Merry stopped in the middle of the whirlpool. The water calmed and the crew heard a laugh.

"ZEHAHAHAHAHAH! Straw hat! I've come to capture you!" the man said as he held up three bounty posters, the crew looked over and saw the bounty posters.

Luffy said "WOAH! Mine went up by a lot!" Zoro said "Hey I got one!" Viper said "The changed my name! Looks like Smoker's reliable after all." the trio saw their bounties.

Viper was ecstatic as he laughed "HAHAH King of the serpents! WOOO" Nami and the rest sighed.

Zoro said "Why do I have to be called 'Pirate Hunter', when Rainbow hair gets 'King of the Serpents'?!" Viper grinned and gave him the finger, Zoro grit his teeth and lunged at him, starting a dust brawl. Luffy laughed and jumped in, the dust settled and the three of them were sitting there.

The man said "Hey! I'm here to capture you! Remember?" Luffy got up and was about to say something but a geyser shot out of the water and sent the crew flying into the air.

Viper was amazed and stood on the kitchen door "Wow! We're flying!"

Nami snapped "What are you standing there for?! Go get the sails!!"

Viper grumbled and went to man the sails, the Merry flew into the sky and passed through a cloud layer, landing on a cloud sea. They looked out and were amazed by the surrounding sea, Ussop went to dive in but Viper grabbed him and said "What are you doing? Do you think the clouds have a bottom?" Ussop paled and thanked Viper for basically saving his life. Viper said "Although maybe you can go for a swim..."

Viper grabbed a rope and tied it around Ussop and threw him into the cloud sea, before he tied the other end of the rope to the mast. Viper noticed the rope was starting to move and he held it, just in case. He felt a tug and pulled back, bringing Ussop back onto the boat with a huge balloon looking fish following after him. Zoro cut the fish and it popped, Robin said "It seems the fish have adapted to the sea up here."

Viper nodded and Chopper said "Hey look guys a ship! Oh, no wait it's a person and he's coming towards us!"

The man landed on the deck and said "Die, blue sea people!"

Viper, Zoro, Sanji, and Luffy charged at the man and the man jumped up and was about to attack, when another man appeared and said "Enough Wyper! Leave!" Wyper grit his teeth and left. The man turned around and said "Hello, my name is Ganfall."
