Akainu's punch not only failed to kill Whitebeard, but it also significantly sobered his mind. Although the wound was painful, it was not fatal and had no effect on Whitebeard.

This was the first time he had experienced such pressure, even surpassing his encounters with the formidable Vice-Admiral Zephyr. Akainu's throat rolled as he nervously swallowed, sensing an ominous premonition.

Whitebeard took a step forward, his clenched fist compressing the surrounding air into a ball of light. 

Then, without hesitation, he unleashed a punch toward Akainu. Despite Akainu's immediate reaction, he had no time to defend or dodge, only able to watch as Whitebeard's punch connected with his face. In an instant, Akainu felt his eardrums burst like thunder and his facial features twist together—his nose, ears, and mouth gushed out blood. 

The impact sent him uncontrollably falling to the ground, his balance completely lost.

Even an admiral like Akainu had no ability to resist in the face of Whitebeard's fury. He lay on the inner square, pressed to the ground by the terrifying shockwave caused by Whitebeard, unable to move. 

The immense force ravaged Akainu's body, reducing him to being mercilessly pummeled by Whitebeard. The square beneath him shattered layer by layer, resembling spider webs of cracks. 

Akainu was embedded in the center, at the mercy of Whitebeard's power.

The horrified marines observers couldn't help but comment, "Why is this happening? Wasn't that old man, Whitebeard, seriously ill and unable to move due to physical reasons? How did he suddenly...?" 

"It must be Akainu's attack that revived Whitebeard." 

The marine's witnesses couldn't help but express their terror, simultaneously dreading Akainu. However, none of them had the courage to rush in and help. 

Whitebeard's punch not only caused a tremendous air shock but also firmly suppressed Akainu, creating an intimidating ripple that halted anyone from advancing.

On the execution stand, Ace sighed with relief, seeing that Whitebeard was safe. He couldn't bear the guilt if something happened to Whitebeard. 

Sengoku's expression changed drastically as he had expected Akainu to take advantage of the situation and eliminate Whitebeard, ultimately deciding the outcome of the war. 

However, the situation completely reversed in the blink of an eye, and Akainu found himself in a dire state. A sense of danger overwhelmed Sengoku as he realized the peril faced by Akainu.

Although Akainu wasn't instantly killed by Whitebeard's punch, he managed to withstand it with his physical strength and rolled out to create a safe distance from Whitebeard. 

Despite being covered in wounds and bloodied, Akainu stood firm, staring at Whitebeard. He couldn't help but feel deeply moved by the terrifying power displayed by the old and gravely ill man. 

The incredible destructive force possessed by Whitebeard, even in his condition, astonished Akainu.

Before Akainu could recover from the shock, Whitebeard swiftly pursued him. With one hand tightly gripping Murakumogiri, Whitebeard aimed for Akainu's shoulder and slashed vertically. 

The attack was menacing and unstoppable. Even without using his Devil Fruit ability, Whitebeard's prowess as a swordsman was immense, comparable to Hawkeye Mihawk. 

Akainu's eyes flickered with fear as he faced Whitebeard's speed and unstoppable momentum.
