(Chapter 31) Koi fish and waterfall

Ryu was slackjawed as he saw the giant waterfall in front of him, It was massive as giant Koi fish swam up the waterfall

They varied in colour but all had one thing in common, and that they were massive and powerful

'So how are we supposed to get up there again?' asked Roger as he scratches the back of his head

Rayleigh just sighed as he didn't really know how to do so either, 'I guess we could use the rafts and jump up there with it and bring back the supplies afterwards' said Gaban as he sharpened his axes

Ryu sat on the rail of the ship as he looked down at the anchor that was holding them in place as he got an idea

'Why don't we use the anchor?' asked Ryu innocently. Everyone looked at him weirdly, Roger had a glint in his eyes as he asked

'How do you want to use the anchor?' As he grinned and looked at Ryu, The boy smiled before pointing towards the large Koi fish

'Well we could put some bait on the anchor and wait for one of those Kois to take it as they move up the waterfall' Roger's grin widened as he laughed out

'RAHAHAHA! Perfect idea lad!' he said before taking off his shirt as he ran and jumped off the ship

As soon as Roger got in the water did he sense something heading straight for him, a large serpentine sea king was rushing towards him

Roger grinned as he used his armament haki to grab onto the overgrown real before drawing his blade and used armament haki to cut it straight in half

He cut up a large piece of the sea king before diving even deeper and holding the anchor of the ship as he impaled the side with the meat

A few minutes later Roger jumped back onboard, Rayleigh went up to him before throwing a towel

Roger grinned as he used it to dry off, 'So what did you use at bait?' asked Gaban as he juggled with his axes

Roger tossed the towel in one of the laundry mates before wandering Gaban, 'An overgrown eel'

They soon felt the ship moving as everyone rushed to the side of the ship to see a massive koi fish hitting their anchor

They all smiled seeing the anchor pierce the side of the fish's mouth as it ran towards the waterfall trying to escape

The ship slammed into the waterfall as it started moving up vertically while everyone onboard held on for dear life

They soon stopped as they reached the top of the waterfall, 'It actually worked!' came the cheers of the crew mates

Ryu smiled as he decided to make his way towards his room, only for him to be grabbed as he's thrown in the air by the members of the crew

He was shocked for a few moments only for his shock to turn into joy as he started laughing

Roger smiled looking at the display While Gaban and Rayleigh laughed on, He soon went to the anchor before pulling it off the fishes face as the giant koi started swimming away

{Death peak Island}

A single rowboat made its way towards the island carrying one person with it, The man had a calm smile as he stood up and jumped off the rowboat leaving it to it's fate

He soon landed in the middle of the camp as a magenta-haired boy wearing a scarf that covered his mouth bumped into him as he fell down

He looked up only for his pupils to shrink as he spotted the black-haired man, 'Sorry for bumping into you mister Guzban'

The man smiled before he went down on his knee and asked 'What's your name kid?' asked Guzban

'It's Katakuri sir!' replied the future sweet commander as he gave him a solute, Guzban laughed before patting him on the shoulder

'Any idea where Xebec is?' Katakuri just nodded before pointing towards the middle of the island

'He told us not to disturb him but I don't know if it included you or not' Said Katakuri as he lowered his arm

Guzban just sighed before shrugging and making his way towards the camp, 'I guess I'll see him when he's done I'm not in a rush'

Katakuri just looked at him weirdly before making his way towards his mothers candy home as he thought "I didn't think Captains right hand isn't as sadistic and cruel as him"
