I want them to be yours too

He leaned back, his expression softening. "About my parents there is not much to say. My parents are....good people. They're supportive, loving, and deeply in love with each other, even after all these years. My mother, Alessandra, is gentle but strong. She'll see through you immediately, so don't try to hide anything from her."

She chuckled nervously. "Good to know. And your father?"

"Matteo" Lucas said, a hint of pride in his voice. "He's more serious than my mom, but he has a kind heart. He might ask tough questions, but only because he cares."

Her heart softened at his words. "They sound wonderful." "They are," he said simply.

Then his tone shifted slightly. "There is also another person who might be present there. My aunt, Vivian. She is... different. She's protective of me, sometimes too much. She can be sharp, but she means well in her own way. She just have some prejudices. Just... don't take her comments personally, okay?"

That made her pause. "Comments?" Lucas hesitated, running a hand through his hair. "She's traditional. She's had some bad experiences in the past, and it's made her wary of....certain things."

"Certain things?" she pressed, narrowing her eyes. "It's complicated," he admitted. "But I'll handle her. You don't need to worry." She wasn't entirely convinced but decided not to push further. "Anyone else?"

"My cousin Isabella. She is aunt Vivian's daughter and my only sister. She's the life of every room she walks into....free-spirited, playful. She'll probably tease us the entire time, but she means well. And her brother, Christian, is the opposite... quiet, thoughtful. He keeps to himself, but he's solid. By the way they are twins."

She smiled faintly, already painting a picture in her mind of this family. "It sounds like a full house." "It is," he said, his voice softening. "But they're my family. And I want them to be yours, too."

The sincerity in his words made her chest tighten, and for a moment, she couldn't speak. Finally, she whispered, "Okay. Let's do it."

Hearing his words, she already felt a bit excited to meet his family. But most of all she was nervous. "Do Rachel need to be there?" She asked softly.

"I guess we can take her some other day. It's the first time for you and I'm myself not sure what will they say when they see you." He replied gently.

"Alright, also the hospital checkup is scheduled after 2 days, so if you are free we can go together." She said hoping to hear a yes.

"After 2 days? I will definitely come." He sounded excited at the mention of hospital. His first time was a whole new experience which he would remember his entire life and now he is excited to see the baby everytime.

Seeing his excitement, Bella sensed what was he thinking. "But this time we won't see the baby." She said crashing his excitement.

"Huh!Why? We are going for checkup but can't see the baby." Lucas questioned her sulking slightly.
