Title - Against a Celestial 1
…
The battle that ensued was cataclysmic. Lightning crackled around Zeus as his body grew, his height now nearly 2'3.
Odin by his side grunted as he channeled the immense power of the Odinforce through his spear Gungnir as it crackled with raw energy.
Leucadius sighed, taking on his battle form, but unlike the others, his transformation was subtle, his aura undulating with the power of the fundamental forces.
Odin, gripping his spear tightly, his voice filled with determination, shouted, "We cannot allow these alien gods to meddle with Midgard as they please."
Zeus, his hands crackling with cosmic lightning, echoed Odin's sentiment. "They will learn the folly of challenging us."
'We are the ones challenging them tho.' Leucadius thought as he channeled the power of the fundamental forces solemnly. In this battle, he knew that going all out physically would be a waste of time.
After billions of simulations, he knew his only chance to deal damage was through magic.
He raised his hands, summoning six distinct rings of light behind him, each representing a fundamental force: Space, Time, Reality, Power, Mind, and Soul.
The appearance was similar to the Spirit Rings of a Cultivation Universe, each ring radiating its unique aura.
This was his strongest battle state, one he hadn't needed in the Millennia since he'd mastered it. Facing Arishem, holding back would be both delusional and arrogant.
Without paying him much attention, Odin, Shiva, and Zeus charged forward. Their divine energies converged into a coordinated assault on Arishem.
Odin, with the power of the Odinforce, sent forth blasts of pure energy.
Shiva, clad in destructive energy danced as his movements sent shockwaves of destruction.
Zeus, with his Cosmic Lightning, summoned bolts of raw energy that crackled with the essence of the cosmic lightning.
In the face of their attacks, Arishem remained unyielding, his colossal form absorbing the gods' strikes with a terrifying calm. His eyes glowed as beams of concentrated energy shot out, targeting the gods with pinpoint accuracy.
Behind them, Leucadius raised his hands towards the beam of energy.
The rings of light representing Space, Time, and Reality swirled around him.
Space magic formed a vortex, Time magic bent the flow of moments, and Reality magic wove the threads of existence into a realm of chaos as a massive black hole materialized, its event horizon swallowing the beams of energy sent by Arishem.
"It would be impolite to hold onto this for you. Have it back," Leucadius said calmly as he pointed upwards, and another massive black hole appeared above Arishem, the beams of energy redirected towards the Celestial.
The black holes, one outside Earth and another in the Solar system, remained stable, the aftershocks separated from reality by Leucadius's magic.
"Impressive, Leucadius!" Odin exclaimed, his eyes wide with amazement. The other gods nodded in approval, their spirits lifted. But Leucadius didn't celebrate. He kept his gaze fixed on Arishem, knowing that the Celestial's power was far from exhausted.
"Impressive... but futile nonetheless," Arishem's voice echoed, its resonance shaking the very fabric of space.
The Celestial's form shimmered with an almost ethereal glow, his presence growing more formidable with each passing second.
In the brief moment it took for Arishem's voice to fade, another wave of attack surged towards the gods. This time, Arishem's energy crackled with an intensity that the Void around them trembled and crackled with the raw force of cosmic power.
Zeus, his eyes glowing with lightning, summoned his ultimate weapon, the Thunderbolt and with a roar, he hurled the thunderbolt at Arishem. The bolt of lightning, imbued with his essence, tore through space with a blinding flash.
Odin's spear Gungnir, glowing with the power of the Odinforce was thrust forward, sending a wave of energy filled with the promise of annihilation which split the Void while threatening to sunder the mirror reality Leucadius had moved them into.
Shiva, in the midst of his weird dance, transformed the space around him into a tempest of destruction. His Tandava unleashed waves of energy that resonated with the very core of the universe while adding to the pressure on the Reality.
Reality cracked, and the Void ignited with the fury of a thousand storms as the attacks of the three Gods met.
Leucadius, meanwhile, focused his magic, his six rings of light swirling behind him in mesmerizingly. He extended his hands, and the forces of Space, Time, and Soul converged into a single, massive orb of energy.
With a flick of his wrist, he unleashed it at Arishem, a swirling vortex of cosmic power that threatened to unravel the very essence of the Celestial's being.
Arishem, undeterred, raised his hands, and a shield of pure energy enveloped him.
The attacks collided with the shield, creating an explosion of light and sound that reverberated across the battlefield. The gods watched in bathed breath as their combined forces seemed to have little effect on the Celestial.
Arishem's eyes glowed brighter, and with a gesture, he unleashed a wave of energy that surged towards the gods. The wave was a torrent of raw power, a flood of cosmic might that threatened to engulf everything in its path.
Leucadius, anticipating the attack, focused his magic. The rings of light around him flared with intensity, and he summoned a barrier of space-time distortion.
The wave of energy crashed against the barrier, causing ripples in the fabric of reality. "Not so fast, Arishem!" Leucadius shouted, his voice echoing through the space as he channeled the magic of the forces.
Using Space Magic to bend space around him and the Time Magic to warp time.
This was the best defense he could come up with.
Adding Reality Magic into the mix would mean he'd have to leave the Mirror Dimension to its fate of destruction.
Conversely, drawing from the concept of Infinite Void and Temporal Expansion, Leucadius extended the distance between them and the beam of energy to Infinity while also expanding the flow of time to Eternity.
The only downside of this technique was that it consumed an ungodly amount of energy.
Still, as the wave of energy clashed with the barrier, the shockwave radiated outward, throwing the gods off their feet.
Odin and Shiva managed to regain their footing, their eyes wide with determination. Zeus, however, was caught off guard, his body convulsing under the sheer force of the impact.
"Stay strong!" Odin bellowed, his voice cutting through the chaos. "We must hold our ground!"
With his body still trembling, Zeus gathered his strength and with a mighty roar, he channeled the full might of his cosmic energy into a single, devastating bolt of lightning.
The bolt struck Arishem's shield, the force of the impact sending ripples through the air.
Leucadius, following Zeus' lead, unleashed the combined energies of the Infinity Stones.
The rings of light around him merged into a single, blinding orb of light which he hurled at Arishem.
Reality shook violently with the force of the collision as the gods braced themselves, their eyes fixed on the swirling vortex of energy that now surrounded Arishem.
For a moment, everything was silent, the battlefield suspended in a tense stillness.
Then, with a roar that shook the heavens, Arishem's shield shattered together with the Mirror Reality, and the orb of energy surged forward, striking the Celestial with a force that sent shockwaves through the cosmos.
Arishem's form wavered, his colossal presence momentarily faltering under the onslaught.
Meanwhile, Leucadius who had delivered the attack could only smile wryly while wiping the line of Blood dripping down his mouth.
Having had his Mirror Dimension shattered in that manner, it would be something of a miracle if he wasn't hit with a backlash.
"Are you alright, Leucadius?" Shiva asked seeing Leucadius' predicament.
"Would you believe me if I said yes?" Leucadius asked back causing the Hindu God to burst out laughing.
"Seems like I asked something unnecessary." He said and then turned back to Arishem who now had his full attention focused on them. "I think this will be the last dance…so much for my dream."
"At the very least, we'll be going out fighting something of that Calibre." Brahma who had been observing added only for Leucadius to shake his head.
"We won't be dying here…or anytime soon." He said as the Space Ring behind him lit up, causing a Portal to open up from which his Leucadius' Throne slowly floated out. "It would be a good idea to pull out your Armour now, Odin."
Odin, who was fiercely glaring at the Celestial, turned his gaze to Leucadius, who was about to take a seat on his Throne. "So you knew about that…"
"The things I don't know in this part of the world are so few you'd be shocked," Leucadius said as he made himself comfortable on his Throne.
"Heh, then what's our probability of winning?" Odin asked as he summoned the Bifrost, which brought him the Destroyer Armor.
"With your armor…0%. With my Throne combined with your armor…0.9%." Leucadius said lightly, causing the group of gods to look at him with a mix of disbelief and frustration.
"Then why bother fighting at all?" Zeus grumbled, lightning flickering around his form.
"Because even the slightest chance is better than none," Leucadius replied, his eyes glowing with determination. "And because we are gods. We protect our Interests, no matter the odds."
"Aren't you supposed to be a Good and compassionate God? I thought you were fighting for Humanity?" Shiva said hushly but they all heard it.
Odin, knowing that Leucadius wasn't just spouting nonsense, donned the Destroyer Armor, the suit's immense power radiating from his form. "Then let's make that 0.9% count."
Leucadius raised his hands, summoning the cosmic energies around his Throne, intertwining them with the divine auras of his fellow gods. "Let's show Arishem what it means to defy the will of the Gods."
And so, with their energies Combined into the armour the armour grew from its initial nine feets to over two thousand feets, dwarfing the Prime Celestial.
Leucadius squinted his eyes as he tried to get a reading from his energy inside the Armour to analyse the materials the Armour was made of only to come out blank.
The only time this had ever happened was when he was analysing the Book of Fate.
'Interesting.' he thought before sending a telepathic message to Odin. "Would it not be better if I took control?" Since Odin was the owner of the armour, It was all but normal for him to be in control during the ensuing battle, however, Leucadius felt the chances of actually causing damage to Arishem would rise if he was in control.
With his Absolute Intelligence, he could at least put up a fight. From the Combat Capability he was picking up from the Armour, he knew it could only execute the base force of a thousand ton.
The amount of damage caused by such a punch would be significant, potentially creating massive craters, shockwaves, and seismic activity, and the energy released would be comparable to the energy of a small nuclear explosion, capable of causing regional or even planetary-scale destruction, depending on the target's composition and location.
This was powerful, but compared to the Nigh-Omnipotence of Arishem…it was child's play.
What Leucadius hoped for was a battle of attrition. Odin didn't look to be looking for that. He was out to cause damage and that was stupid, reckless and futile.
"Are you looking down on me?" Odin bellowed mentally.
Thankfully, only Leucadius heard it since this was a mental discussion. He knew his request would harm the God's pride, but in this situation…who cared about such nonsense.
He was only making a request that wasn't actually a request. The moment Odin refused, he would be taking over forcefully. Although that would sour their relationship, it was better than being unnecessarily humiliated.
"Think what you will. But that bastard won't be lenient going forward."
